Jake and his crew did a great job on a difficult roof that the "other" guys would not work on. Simply put, he showed up on time did great work, took the extras steps and cleaned up when they were done. What a good team!

Jake showed up within timeframe of appointment set, he listened to the details of my electrical problem, assessed the situation, used problem-solving, critical-thinking & his professionalism to fix the problem most efficiently and cost effective (inexpensiv). He identified other areas of improvement (free consultation) at no cost and made suggestions. Jake is very personalable, friendly, professional and knowledgeable in the electrician field. I highly recommend Jake, you will not be disappointed.

Jake has done a few jobs at my house now, including upgrading my electric panel and he always does great work. He explains everything that needs to be done, shows up on time and does the job perfectly. I was so impressed with his work that I recommended him to my mother when she needed work done at her house.

Alternative Energy Solutions (Jake Sessing) did an absolutely amazing job installing my solar system! From the start, he stood out because he took the time to explain everything clearly, answer every question, and even made a site visit before I committed — something not all installers do.

I got three quotes, and while Jake was the lowest, there wasn't a huge difference - I found them to be competitive. But what's important is the plan, the installers, and the level of care, and in these respects, Jake was far beyond the others.

Jake isn’t just overseeing the crew; he’s the foreman and lead electrician, personally working on the job. We had an extra challenge with running a required cold water line, and he made an extra trip just to help us plan it out.

He also created a thoughtful layout for the solar panels (the rectangular modules on the roof), reviewed it with me, and together we fine-tuned the design. After the installation, he’s continued to go above and beyond — monitoring my SCE account and solar usage, and even reaching out to alert me when the system’s default settings changed.

I highly recommend Jake. His expertise, professionalism, and follow-through are exceptional, and he truly cares about his customers and their projects.

Great Experience with Jake w/ AES. Worked with Jake to install a Tesla Universal Wall Charger and a new wall outlet at my home. Jake’s work was exceptional, professional, precise, and completed with clear attention to detail. The installation was seamless, and everything functions perfectly.

We had an Enphase solar system installed- process was straightforward, quality assured, passed inspection & approved by SCE.

A lot of other installers out there that will put on a pushy flashy sales pitch, not be at your job site, that will contract out the labor, good luck if you have an issue- save yourself the trouble & be confident choosing Jake & his team of pros.

What started out as a small project, blossomed into a complete house electrical update, including a solar removal and replacement for a new roof, and then we did a completely new electrical distribution panel replacement, and then we went ahead and had a Tesla Powerwall installed to take advantage of the big tax credit program that ends tomorrow-
We decided that the first project, the solar R&R was so professionally done, that it would be prudent to finally replace the 1961 antique panel- as it was an emergency/fire just waiting to happen- after this project finished in a beautifully wired and top shelf gear, we decided to take advantage of the available tax credit and get that powerwall done-
And Once again, project completed on time, with impeccable professionalism.
Jacob really knows his stuff and doesn’t cut corners to save a buck- electrical work is not the place to get cute, as consequences for shady work is shocking! See what I did there, haha.

Forgive my rambling on, but if you have an electrical problem that needs solving, I couldn’t recommend anyone more that AES.

Jake did a thorough examination of our situation and equipment, found and rectified some problems in the system, and then set up a PowerWall 3 that works perfectly. He does quality work, attends to detail, and is efficient and knowledgeable. We really appreciate his answering all our questions and would recommend him for any solar or electrical project.

We are so happy we went with Alternative Energy Solutions. Jake was terrific - he walked me through the process up front and in person at my new house, answered my many question, and now we have a wonderful system installed (panels plus power wall) that works like a dream. Now we sleep better at night knowing that with the power wall, we can run our system off grid without worry if there is ever a major power issue. Meanwhile our power usage with SCE is essentially nil - and we just got our permission to operate so now we are sending energy back to SCE. The work looks great and the system integrates perfectly with our hose. In every way we are happy with Jake and his company and the solar system that he installed. Highly recommend.

Jake is one of the best professionals I've ever had work on my home. He has great communication, excellent independent advice, and top quality work. We are so happy with the rooftop panels and battery system Jake installed! We compared AES against other bigger companies and I felt like the other companies were pushing specific vendors and we were "just a number". AES gave us the pros and cons of various installation options and vendors and I felt much better informed and confident in our choices.

I used Alternative energy solutions to add a power wall 3 to my existing solar system and i could not be happier. Jake, the owner of the company is who you are dealing with from start to finish. He takes pride in his company and it shows through his customer service and his work. The installation was very clean and there is no conduit run along our exterior walls . All that you see is a floating battery. I wish I had known about Alternative energy solutions back when I had put up my solar panels but I will be using them for any additional energy needs moving forward.

With the pending end of the energy tax credits, I was happy to find Jake to install a Tesla PW3 battery for us. After speaking with him I was confident that he could complete the project and have us on line prior to the deadline. Though there we a few hiccups, including rain, Jake kept the project moving forward and we received our PTO prior to the end of the year. I would recommend Jake for any electrical work and wish him the best.

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Jake is honest, professional, and has a wonderful personality to work with. The final price matched his original quote to the dollar and even finished ahead of schedule with zero stress. You can tell he really cares about his business being accountable with exceptional communication from start to finish. He installed an 11 kW system + a Powerwall 3 battery and handled all of the permitting, etc.

My wife and I wanted to pull the trigger on solar in 2025 before the 30% tax credit ends. We interviewed Sunrun who were extremely salesy pushing their PPA. We also inquired with Tesla directly but felt like just another number with no urgency to complete before year end 2025. Jake had our solar system up and running by the time Tesla would have been able to come out on the initial assessment visit.
