This company was supposed to rejuvenate my small pond to ensure that equipment was working properly and new plants installed. They stuck a couple of big plastiv pots with plants in the pond that are clearly visible and unattractive
Then I hired them for maintenance. The plants they installed died quickly. The existing plants are surviving but became overgrown with string algae. I was told that's just the way it is by Dominic (maybe the owner). I have had this pond for 15 years, and it has never been filled with string algae.
The service person was a very nice young man who tried hard. He told me that Dominic "didnt believe" in any treatment of the pond to control algae, nor to clean it off the pond walls. He then told me to turn a hard stream from the hose on the algae to control it. This didn't work (no surprise). It also blew sediment and dirt from the pots all over the pond, so that it was brown and murky in addition to the disgusting green string algae. It also knocked some beautiful green moss off the wall of the pond. I was paying $190.00 a month for the pond to be maintained, and I was supposed to control the string algae with my hose daily? I truly regret that I was introduced to this company and wasted so much money, time, and energy with them. -
