Their quote was greatly priced and they explained to me really well what would increase the price or not. Even after the first phone call, I could tell these guys are legit. Renee was my technician. He was very professional and knew what he was doing. Fast installation and they follow up with their work and answer all my questions even after the next days. I highly recommend them to all my neighbors and everybody. It is not easy to find honest hardworking people nowadays and I am glad i found them.

From the very first interaction, Copperfield Electric impressed with its professionalism and attention to detail. Rene Hernandez sent a headshot ahead of his arrival, which was a thoughtful and reassuring gesture that set a high standard from the outset.

Rene and his colleague Eddie have been handling a multi-day job that includes the installation of a new 200 amp SPAN electrical panel, a SPAN Drive Level 2 EV charger, new LED lighting for the pool and spa, and replacement of bedroom sconces that were originally installed by another company but had since begun flickering.

Throughout the process, Rene and Eddie have been consistently respectful of the property. They maintained a clean, organized worksite and made a clear effort to leave no stray wire clippings or hardware behind at the end of each day. The work itself has been neat and precise, and Rene took time to clearly explain each component of what was being installed—something that inspired confidence and demonstrated his thorough knowledge.

Equally noteworthy has been the communication from Haily, the office manager. She has been consistently responsive, clear, and helpful, making coordination seamless.

Although this review is being written before the second phase of the work is complete, I have every expectation that Rene and the team will return with the same professionalism and attention to detail that they’ve demonstrated on days one and two.

This is a follow-up to my original review of Rene Hernandez and Copperfield Electric. As expected, Rene and his team returned for the next phase of the installation with the same professionalism, care, and respect for the property that impressed me from day one. The additional work was performed cleanly and thoughtfully, with clear attention to detail.

As is often the case with new technology, we encountered a few issues—specifically with the SPAN Level 2 Charger. What stood out was Rene’s diligence and integrity in troubleshooting. Rather than guessing, he took the time to call SPAN’s technical support directly to clarify and resolve the problem. That willingness to say, “I don’t know, but I’ll find out,” is increasingly rare and speaks volumes about his professionalism.

We had to schedule a follow-up visit, and Rene even offered to come out on Father’s Day Sunday to ensure we’d be able to charge as soon as possible. While we didn’t take him up on the offer, the gesture was deeply appreciated and consistent with the above-and-beyond service I’ve come to expect from him.

Everything is now working flawlessly. Rene never minded me asking questions or observing the work—he welcomed it, and answered each inquiry with patience and clarity.

Highly recommended. The combination of technical skill, integrity, and customer care is exceptional.

We met Rene while he was working with our neighbor on another project. He was very gracious with his time and gave us project quotes without any prior notice.

Once we moved forward with the service in March, he and his team were great. They worked very efficiently, and while we were not able to complete all of the work in the initial scope due to complications with our building, the team explored every avenue they could find to try and get the job done.

Rene was available throughout the process and even once the project was completed when we had additional question. We would happily work him and his team again in the future.

I had a great experience with Copperfield Electric! They responded quickly to my request for a quote for some interior and exterior lighting. They had fair and reasonable pricing in comparison to some other quotes I received. They added power and installed a dining area pendant light, garage sconce lights, and an outdoor security light. I love my new lights! They look great! I especially needed the security light ASAP because I found a stranger peeking in my window while I was sleeping one night at our house. I didn't know what type of security light to get, but the technician was very helpful and recommended a photo cell security light. The security light is bright and works perfectly at night when the sun goes down. Copperfield Electric's technicians are knowledgeable, fast, and friendly! I will be recommending Copperfield Electric to friends, family, and my real estate clients!

They gave me a referral to Nevarez Plastering who did a great job with repairing the stucco.
The best part of choosing Copperfield was working with their office manager, Haily.
She coordinated every part of the job, including permitting, installation and inspections with the city and SCE.
Haily provided great communication and quickly answered all of my questions.

Copperfield Electric did an excellent job from start to finish. The entire team was professional, organized, and easy to work with, and they made a complex project feel straightforward.

They handled everything end-to-end: removing the old panel, installing a new 200A electrical panel, adding a NEMA 14-50 outlet for EV charging, coordinating all permits and inspections with the City, and following through with approvals on the SCE website. All documentation and permits were provided once the job was complete.

What really set them apart was their follow-through. They stuck to their schedule, communicated clearly, and even coordinated the stucco repair at the end of the job, which many contractors don’t do. They didn’t just replace the panel — they made sure everything was put back together better than they found it.

When we had an issue with the 14-50 outlet, Rene and Haily came out the same day to troubleshoot. They checked the wiring, swapped breakers and outlets, inspected the panel, and made sure everything was safe and working properly. That responsiveness gave us a lot of confidence in their work.

They were also very patient and took time to explain how everything works, including opening the panel, resetting breakers, and why our old breaker had been tripping so often.

Huge thanks to Rene, Haily, and J-Dawg. We now have a solar-ready 200A panel and a properly installed EV outlet, and I would absolutely recommend Copperfield Electric to anyone needing a panel upgrade or EV charger installation.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent recessed lighting install by Eddie at Copperfield Electric

We had Copperfield Electric install six recessed lights in our living room, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.

Eddie handled the install and was extremely patient and professional. We had specific requirements around spacing, alignment with our existing kitchen lights, and minimizing drywall impact. Eddie took the time to listen, reviewed our layout drawings with us, and worked collaboratively to plan everything before any holes were cut.

This was a challenging ceiling with multiple studs, but Eddie successfully fished all wiring through the light cutouts and completed the job without making any unnecessary drywall holes. The lights are evenly spaced, perfectly aligned, and installed using proper IC-rated housings with dedicated junction boxes.

The finished result looks clean, architectural, and honestly like the lighting has always been part of the house.

Communication throughout was clear, and it was obvious Eddie takes pride in doing things the right way. Someone from the company even checked in during the job, which we appreciated.

High-quality work, fair value, and a stress-free experience. We would absolutely recommend Copperfield Electric for lighting or other electrical work.
