Saturday afternoon, moving day, faced with a pile of assorted junk. Too much to put in the car, too late to go to the recycling center. I randomly called Junk Munchers. Ash picked up the phone and despite the late request showed up in Foster City less than an hour later. He is professional, his truck is clean and built for hauling. He provided an estimate on the spot and in no time had separated out the usable from the junk, took it all away and the entire transaction was better than I could have hoped. Call him. I had a great experience with Junk Munchers and love that they're a small, family-owned business that aims to recycle and re-home items as much as possible. Ash, the owner, responded to my late-night inquiry very quickly, suggested several pickup slots (as early as the next day!), and was efficient, friendly, and prompt during the pickup. Junk Munchers' pricing was on par with what large chains were quoting, while simultaneously offering more flexibility and convenience (hauling both an old grill and the propane tank for me, which some other companies wouldn't accept). Highly recommended!

I called Ash to pick up some tree trimmings from my front yard. He was very easy to work with. His quote was reasonable and he was on time and finished the job very quickly. He also helped me out with fixing a burner on my gas range. I highly recommend Ash!!!

I can't recommend Junk Munchers enough. Ash is super professional, quick and efficient. We had a huge pile of things to get rid of, and asked if they could break down a chicken coop. Ash didn't hesitate and showed up with the necessary tools to break down the structure and haul it away. They also made sure the area looked nice afterward by sweeping and filling holes made by posts/concrete. I'm so happy we found Junk Munchers!

A stellar young man with an awesome truck. Ash put up with my indecision about a difficult move of 40 years of mixed junk with difficult street access. He talked me off the proverbial ledge a number of times until I was ready to leap - and when I was, he was right there to do the job. Focused, organized, friendly, respectful, and fast. His is also a “green” company: he wants a little as possible to go to landfill, so he “picks” the load to sort for useful items vs junk, and donates to St Vincent’s.
I HIGHLY recommend this impressive fledgling company.

Shoutout to White Rose Landscaping – masters of doing just enough to call it “landscaping.”

Last year, they pulled out a perfectly healthy tree. This year, they left a derooted one barely standing after I had to bungee cord it myself. Their expert fix? Chop a few branches and call it a day. 🙃 Tree's still one gust away from flattening someone.

The side yard? Iconic. Dead grass, dog poop galore, and sprinkler lines just chilling above ground like modern art.

But hey—nature-conscious, right? 🤡
Glad our complex is paying top dollar for this premium neglect.
