Charged for doing the bare minimum.

We were misled by the company's name, "First Choice", and ended up paying an outrageous amount for service on our central AC unit, which was still under warranty. The technician tried to charge us $2000 to detect a Freon leak, making it feel like a rip-off from the start. Additionally, the workmanship was subpar, further reinforcing our disappointment with the experience.

They're not a trustworthy company. When I asked one of their guys to take photos of my AC/Heater unit, he showed me pictures from his website - none of which matched what I was looking at.

The guy suggested replacing the entire unit because if you fix it, it won't last long and might need replacement in a year. Michael Gerts doesn't seem particularly honest about doing the right job.

He quoted an exorbitant price for the whole thing. I decided to get a second opinion, which gave me a more accurate estimate. Thankfully, the new assessment revealed my unit was fine - just needed Freon and some minor tweaks at a reasonable cost.

Apparently, someone else had already checked it out before they arrived, because they pulled cables out and disconnected them. Still can't believe that happened.

Needless to say, I won't be using them again. It's reassuring to know there are honest people out there who genuinely care about helping others.
