Cut off by a Sunrun truck #1663 today. Truck ran a clear red light. I was half way through the intersection on a green. I would not support a company that employs unsafe drivers.

My experience was that the sales representative explained everything very clearly and genuinely cared about finding the best possible outcome for the project. The process was smooth and executed nicely. Now I love checking how many KWh are generated every week and my bill is only a fraction of what I paid before solar!

Guy, our sunrun sales specialist has been fantastic to work with as have the rest of the sunrun crew. Right from the time of the agreement being signed to all the steps till install and enabling, the team supported all our questions and accommodated any changes we requested in terms of timing, plan etc. We have solar now installed and running smoothly! Thank you sunrun North county team and Guy!

Wish I could give 0 stars. Their salesmen ignore no soliciting signs despite asking them nicely not to come back, they come at all hours of the evening.. as late as 8:30pm and we have a newborn and reactive dogs. We have told them no so many times and tried calling the office to be removed from their lists and they hung up on us multiple times. We were considering buying solar this year and will ABSOLUTELY not use this disrespectful company with their sleazy sales tactics!!!!

We were cold called by rep. Ryan Downey at our home. We were only mildly interested in solar, but after talking with Ryan we signed a contract. He was terrific and did everything he said he would do. SunRun was also great in all their dealings with us, which included installation, information, problem solving, and communication. We are 100% satisfied. SunRun and Ryan have exceeded our expectations. We recommended SunRun to all our neighbors, some had installations done.

Ryan did his best to get me the best price and figured out the amount of energy I needed to produce so I wouldn’t be in a deficit. We worked together to make sure everything was perfect. The technicians did a great job installing the panels. I would recommend Ryan and SunRun to anyone

The installation process was super smooth and quick! Our sales manager, Beau Larsen, walked us through the process and we wouldn't have done it without his support and expertise. After our first meeting, we had panels and a Tesla Powerwall installed within 13 days.

Had the pleasure of inviting Melissa Rosenthal into our Escondido home for a solar consultation and subsequent install. Melissa walked us through the process, the product, the company and the numbers, to make sure we were setup with the right system for our family. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately the experience we have currently with Sunrun Solar previously Vivint Solar is a very negative one. My 1 star is justifiable from the damage the company has done to our house and their negligence and irresponsible actions to fix the damage their installation did on our house. In 2019 they installed solar panels on our house. Unbeknownst to us they cracked one of the roofs supporting beams and plywood. 3 months later the rain came. While we where eating our dinner we noticed a steady stream of water running down our kitchen wall. As soon as I got to the attic and worked my way to the leak there was a stream of water coming trough the roof and landing all over the insulation and plywood. I called them they came to “Fix” the roof, this fix consisted of some people coming to the house slapping caulk all over the affected area and leaving the empty canisters in our attic. Again the rain came and the stream again came trough but directed the water further into our roof. Our houses insurance got involved cut our kitchen ceiling drained the attic dried our kitchen and took out all the insulation. Till this day they have not come to fix a thing there is still a hole in our kitchen and there has been zero attempts to try and fix the damage they caused. They said the inspector they sent said there was no problem and the case is closed.... I mean really? If you are considering this company for your Solar Energy needs use my experience to help you with your decision, a company’s success also rides on that companies reputation, dignity and customer service. I have the pictures and Videos in real time to prove the damage they did and never fixed correctly or attempted to fix. While I sit here looking at the hole in our kitchen I can’t help but feel humiliated, defeated, confused and lost. A successful company should not leave you feeling this way. I hope this helps and if you decide to try them anyway good luck and may you fare better than us. 😔 - No solution from the company to this day 8/9/2021 - *Still nothing done 3/20/25 - No Answer all repairs out of our pocket. *-> 8/5/25 - This company still has not reached out to get this fixed. All repairs WE paid for out of OUR pocket's.

I’m very satisfied with my experience with Sunrun. My sister recommended Rudith Alkori to be my sales representative since she did her Sunrun solar with her with no problem. Rudith is very friendly and patiently walked me through the process of applying for the solar power; explaining how it works, savings and benefits I can get from it . She calls me for follow up before and after installation. There was quite a long wait for the installation to happen and that’s because of waiting for SDG&E approval . The installation itself just took a day.
So far, everything’s going on smoothly. I’m not paying $500 anymore for my electric bill!!! (That’s what SDG&E charges me monthly- even w/out the comfort of AC and with only 3 occupants in the house; I even have skylights that I don’t need to switch on lights during daytime! SDG&E can’t even answer why my bill is so high after coming to check my house for any issues!!!)
So I’m happy for my decision for solar. Sunrun is highly recommended.

We used Sun Run last year to finally have solar panels put on our house and we were very pleased with their service. Ryan Downey was our point of contact and he was always quick to respond if we had any questions along the way. I would recommend Sun Run if you’re considering getting solar panels installed.

Great experience with SunRun and rep Alex Meleniak! After a couple of years of unavoidable expensive home repairs piled on, we had to put solar and the new roof we needed on hold (and hope the roof held for awhile!). Then we got hit with non-renewal of homeowners insurance and all of a sudden we HAD to get a roof for a new policy. We were looking at taking on another 20-25 years of monthly payments and retirement getting further away, again! Someone referred us to Alex and SunRun; we talked to a couple other company's too, but Alex patiently explained our options and answered all our questions, 2x. With SunRuns PPA we're out of pocket very little for a new roof (and the sub-contractor was great! 50 year shingle warranty and 10 years workmanship), no additional debt, mortgage or lein, and we don't have to worry about ownership and responsibility now or for outdated, used up solar panels and battery when we're too old (or our kids have the house) 25 years from now! We're so happy to have a steady, reasonable monthly electric bill that won't skyrocket and create worry in retirement. SunRun did a beautiful install, took care of city permitting and SDGE. They monitor the system and make all repairs! We haven't had a good experience with any contractor in years so we were expecting about the same hassles but SunRun knocked it out of the park. Got the roof and solar installed within 2 weeks of agreement. We couldn't be happier! Alex is a great guy who cares about his customers. He restored our faith in the good old American way of doing business. We very highly recommend!

The two Sunrun representatives that rang my bell last night at 7:00 p.m. were the most unprofessional men ever. They were rude, arrogant, and ignored my THREE no soliciting sighs posted at the entry to my home. Then they refused to leave when ordered to do so. These employees have no business dealing with the public and are a disgrace to their employer. They should be terminated immediately.

Excellent experience with Sunrun. Install went smoothly, well organized and professional. Sales rep April was outstanding, helping with every aspect of the project - from an honest initial assessment of what to expect from the system to the final installation. Will definitely recommend Sunrun to others.

I thought I couldn’t afford to “go solar” in my home. But Trae, and his great team at Sunrun, explained how I could qualify for installing solar panels (including necessary roof repairs), and a Tesla back-up battery, at no out of pocket cost to me! He also calculated my average monthly electric bill, and showed me that I will be saving money annually. The set monthly fee to Sunrun gives me piece of mind, as I am on a fixed income and can plan accordingly.
Trae and his team at Sunrun explained the process thoroughly, answered all my questions, and have been knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive . I highly recommend them.

I had a wonderful experience with the Sunrun company and one of their reps Elizabeth Ramos. She was very informative and actively guided me through the solar process. I signed up in 11/2022 and the entire process was completed in 01/2023. I am thoroughly satisfied with my reduced electric bill from my previously high electricity bills with SDG&E. I strongly recommend signing with a Sunrun Solar representative as this was the most cost-saving method for the installation of solar energy panels & service.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Elizabeth, knocked on my door, on a Saturday morning. I think I was wearing my robe. She told me that she represented Sunrun, a Solar energy company. She was very Polite and professional, and explained that she believed Going Solar, would be a good decision for me and my home/family. She briefly described, why. I Blew her out, and said, "No Thanks, have a good day". She was super cool. Took it very well. Gave me her card, before she left. I took some time to think. Maybe 1/2 hour. Called her back. Best decision ever. I can't imagine anyone being more knowledgeable about there product. She sold me.
Sunrun Team, exceeded my expectations, throughout the entire process, involved to get my home Solar powered.

I am completely satisfied with Sunrun as my solar provider. We've been with Sunrun for 3 years next month and have never had a problem. To the contrary, they've been nothing but completely accommodating. We bought an EV over a year ago (husband works in Irvine and around Orange Co.) and we only have to charge at night using our solar. What a life saver/wallet saver!
Something I find so special about Sunrun is the customer service. Melissa Rosenthal was our sales representative. Still after 3 years she is and has always been there if I have any questions. Her personality and knowledge gave me the confidence to go with Sunrun and I am so grateful that I did!

Since customer support is no help, maybe this honest review will be of some, there was faulty wiring done on my install. We dumped enough energy into the grid to trip our main 100 amp breaker that caused a power outage. Sdge tech said the work they did was not up to code and is the most likely cause of the tripped breaker. My 3 year old son could of done a better job on the wiring.
