-
Very Helpful and they know their stuff. Glad I stopped here instead of Home Cheapo

Every location I've been in have great employees who will help you find whatever you need. Even in the rare occasion they don't carry it.

There's good and bad in everything, Platt is no exception. First the good:
Pricing is competitive once you help them to realize where the prices should be. Stock, for the most part, is good and you can pick up most of what you need if you're a professional in the trade. It's really nice to have a full service honest to God electrical wholesaler in Watsonville, and not have to go north to Capitola / Soquel, or South to seaside and Monterey.
And the bad;
The biggest shortcoming I've found so far is lack of knowledgeable counter people. Speaking as a 15-year veteran of wholesaling, it takes roughly 2 to 3 years to make a capable counterperson from somebody who knows nothing walking in. Platt does not have people with that base of knowledge yet. I have to check every order every time, and I would say 15-20% of the time I'm asking them to exchange the wrong part for the thing that I wanted. This can also lead to getting a ridiculously overspec'd part. If I ask for a Ford, I generally don't need a Tesla.
This leads to my other major gripe: seemingly minimal local input on stock. They're very good at bringing in parts not on the local stores shelf, but I'm not sure how much control the local store has over what goes on the shelf in the first place. Like most of the wholesale world at this point they're operating from a distribution center model. That means centralized purchasing. Fine if the purchasing people have the experience to know what the trade needs versus what the vendors want to sell. Can go either way.
Hard to argue with the convenience. The mobile app works well and I can depend on the pricing in it for the most part (see my observation above regarding pricing). Considerable upside potential going forward so I'll stick with them and try to do what I can to help them improve. -
I was impressed by the exceptional service at Platt Electric Supply. The staff was friendly, patient and went above and beyond to assist me with my off-grid power system. When I asked what they had in stock for enclosures, Andy led me into their warehouse area and showed me all the various options.

Great attitude from a gifted electrican.

We had a couple of small jobs: Charles gave us one bid that he stuck to, and an accurate estimate for the other job. He gives good explanation and things work!
-
Scott did a phenomenal job at our house. Couldn’t recommend them more.
-
Amazing experience. I called about a power issue at our house. They were quick to show up, friendly, and were able to diagnose the issue (which ended up being related to PG&E). I’d definitely call them again.
-
Great service. The election did the job in about 35minutes

Was referred to them by a friend for some lighting I needed in one of my rentals... Now I go to them for all my personal and work needs!

My family recommended him and 1 job in and I am a promoter of Roger and the job he did for us

Nothing but good things to say about Warrior Electric! I had an amazing experience compared to other contractors I have had. They were very straight forward with the problems I had in my kitchen and garage.
I am very satisfied with the work that was done and highly recommend Warrior Electric for any electrical on the central coast. -
Roger was recommended by neighbor. Roger installed 3 Google Nest cameras (wired,) in my house. He minimized the impact on my stucco siding and made the connection to my inside electrical outlets look very attractive. He made sure the work areas were clean when he finished. He adjusted the cameras perfectly.
I also appreciated how Roger communicated my options for wiring. He showed up as scheduled and performed his work for the quoted price.
I posted his business card on my circuit breaker because he's the one I'll call for my next electrical work. -
Un lugar que te hace sentir Muy familiar, te sientes cómodo y feliz al estar ahí solo o acompañado se los recomiendo

I've hired Danny and his team for a number of different electrical jobs (EV charger install, outlet install, new ceiling fan install, etc.) and every time they've delivered. They are quick to schedule, fast to work, and do quality work without making a mess or disturbing your home.

We recommend High Performance Electric. We have used them for a few jobs over the years with the first in 2008. The last job was 8-2018 and they did a great job. They did the agreed job for the price that was quoted. They are respectful of your time and your property. Thanks HPE

First American Home warranty assigned Performance Electrical to work on an electrical issue at my rental property. I was assured Performance Electrical would contact me within 48 hours. Five days later I called the warranty company and was advised they had reached out to Performance Electrical and were told they would contact me on Friday, five days after the initial contact. I was then told they would not be able to make it out to the rental property for an additional two weeks. I asked why it took five days to contact me instead of the stated 48 hours they were supposed to contact me? and was provided no answer. I then asked if there was any way of expediting the appointment instead of waiting the two weeks? I was then abruptly told do you want the appointment or not!!! To which I replied no thanks. I do not understand why First American contracts with substandard companies, who lack professionalism and obviously aren't organized and can't handle the workload. If your considering using this company, do yourself a favor and seek a professional company that can handle the workload as well as takes prid in customer service.
