This company is incredibly friendly and hard-working in every aspect of the company. They contacted me back in a reasonable amount of time. They got an estimate for me in a reasonable amount of time and they showed up on time to work and did an incredible job. They cleaned up the yard and they put in a few new plants. Excellent service and execution from Jerry Allison Landscaping! I had a problematic fountain that needed repair and rewiring. The workers were well-mannered, cheerful, and made sure everything was finished to my liking. There were a couple of challenges for the project but the team was unphased. The final cost was true to estimate. I'll definitely use them again for my landscaping needs!

We don't give 5 star reviews lightly. However, this company is exceptional - it truly stands out as a one that works hard to please their client, and one that works with honesty, integrity and efficiency. We have used a lot of contractors in the past, and Jerry Allison stands out as one of the very best.

Let's start with the fact that they actually returned our phone call to discuss an estimate. We reached out to many companies in the area to get bids - most never returned calls or online requests for estimates. Sergio came out quickly and discussed the scope of the work we wanted done. They quickly worked up an estimate which was within the ballpark of our budget. However, we spent a week or more going back and forth discussing options and changes. Scot was really patient with us, and he worked up several different estimates which included different types of materials and differences in the scope of the work to be done.

We finally settled on the scope of work of the project, and they were out within a week breaking ground. The crew they used were great - they worked hard, were friendly, and cleaned up each day. The project is not yet complete, but so far we have been nothing but impressed with the care and attention to detail from the whole company.

One final note: as they started the project, Scot came back out for final measurements and then provided us with the final plans for the project overview using CAD. We reviewed it, and had a few final changes to make. Not only did they easily agree to them, but a few changes involved an increase in cost. We budget for things like this, but Scot agreed to the changes and absorbed the cost increase into the total cost of the project. We have never, in 30 years of working with contractors, had one agree to increase the scope of work and the cost of materials, and not increase the cost of the project. It is tempting to say that the company simply overbid, so it didn't affect their bottom line. But their bid was not the most expensive - so if they did err on the side of caution and estimate a little more than the cost of the project (as any company likely would do to stay in business) - they did this AND they were still cheaper than 3 or 4 other companies we considered using.

You will be hard pressed to find a company that is this responsive and this willing to work with the client to ensure their total satisfaction. Companies like this just don't exist anymore.

Scot and his amazing crew are simply the best!

They completed an entire re-do of both our front and back yards. The project included demo, grading the soil, installing hardscape, installing new drains and irrigation system, installing plants/trees with gopher baskets, laying gravel and bark, building and installing a new outdoor sauna, installing a fountain and outdoor lighting.

Despite many rain delays, the project began and ended in the projected time frame. The crew was professional and respectful. Questions were handled quickly. The quality of the work was exceptional.

Now that the job is completed, they have been available to help with any questions or concerns (which have only been normal little things) .

If the need were to ever arrive, I would use Jerry Allison Landscaping again! They are simply a fabulous value!

We hired Jerry Allison Landscaping after we bought our home in Old Town Monterey. While the front porch provided us with great views of the Bay the backyard was pretty much just a patch of weeds and dirt. Scot, their landscape architect, came and listened to what our vision was for the backyard. He was very intent on translating our thoughts into a reality. He provided us with detailed options that would allow us to decide what our resources could handle. Once we had decided, their crew was on-site and started to transform our vision into reality. Because we hadn’t yet moved into our house Scot emailed pics and descriptions detailing the status of the project. The work was completed on time and at budget and we are thrilled with results. We now have an oasis that we’ll finish off with plantings and furniture which will provide the perfect setting for gatherings of our family and friends.

Thanks to Scot and his crew for their beautiful creation at our new home!
