Great place to do business! We manage apartment buildings and send our onsite managers to Tashmans to pick up supplies. We've had doors and windows made there. The customer service is terrific. If there is a problem, which is rare, they get right on it. I highly recommend them.

I haven't had any windows installed but I think they are a great alternative to Home Depot which I keep telling myself I'll never go back to. They are knowledgeable and I've found them to be helpful. I used to shop at Laurel Hardware but it's a restaurant now. I think their prices are very reasonable and I don't mind paying extra for customer service which you don't get at the big boxes.

Not really honest people imo, I double checked for an order I made, I asked confirmation about certain part of it, and 2 people assured me twice it would have been done exactly how it was showed to me. And I asked again twice on the phone.
The day of the pick up, they told me that the info I got were not accurate and then gave me basically a cheaply made screen, and told me I was wrong, so much gaslight….
Knowing the final result I wouldn’t had bought it, I could have paid 6 time less by doing it myself, with a similar result!
Sad I really liked them I guess I learned my lesson on trusting small shop.

Having always had good in-store experiences at Tashman I decided to try their screen division for 3 new screens and two re-screens with installation at a local rental property. It should have been a red flag when I had to call three times just to set up getting an estimate. I kept being told that someone would call me back but no one ever did. The second red flag should have been when I was told that they would charge $157 in advance just for the estimate and then apply it to the invoice if they got the job. This policy is a blatant effort to trap a prospective customer into whatever estimate they come up with and that’s what it did with me. Having just replaced screens at another property a year before I had a rough idea of what this job should cost, but at $488 Tashman’s estimate was at least 50% higher than their competition. Unless I wanted to walk away from $157, I was stuck. It took more than two weeks to make the three small new screens and, again, no one contacted me when they were ready. I had to call repeatedly and then finally call the installer directly to schedule installation because he repeatedly did not call me back in response to messages. At one point, Tashman sent me an invoice saying I had not paid the initial $157 for the estimate. This was untrue and I had to submit my credit card receipt to prove it. All the way around, a VERY bad experience and I will never do business with Tasman again. Any business that charges $157 for an estimate on such a small job is tacitly acknowledging that they are not competitive and will rip you off if they can. Lesson learned.

This is the third time I've used Tashman and the experience has always been stellar. From beginning to end they are easy to work with, I receive estimates for parts and labor and installation is always impeccable. Beyond that, they keep our orders on file so if we need parts or repairs, it's an easy task. And we love working with a family business. Thank you Tashman!

This place is just the best. The nicest people, fair prices, and I always get immediate help. They helped me with a plexiglass project I needed help with to fit my old casement windows a few years back and recently helped me copy a set of keys in under 5 minutes. Home Depot could never. Tashman Hardware is where it’s at! Thanks for everything.

Brian approached me and asked if I needed any help. I wasn't sure he was talking to me, as there were so many people in the store at the time. We got my questions answered promptly, with professionalism, and above all kindness. If you really want to get your questions answered, and not feel like a number, which so many times sadly happens at gigantic chain hardware stores, come and experience Tashmans! Thanks again Brian!

Tashman ain't your average hardware store. They replaced my screens, installed glass shower doors for in my place & made me duplicate keys. They let me authorize my handyman to purchase supplies on my account when he needs something & they have incredible advice. From plumbing to glass they handle everything as though They're family & always make me feel welcome. What's the difference between those new light bulbs & the ones I already have? What can I do to stop the cold air from coming in from under my door? How often should I change my a/c filter? Latex or oil based paint? The folks at Tashman have answers that help me navigate all these issues with confidence. Everyone there works hard & cares about the details. The place is obviously well managed. I truly appreciate having this resource nearby.

Kenny and team installed a (custom-designed) door and sidelights and some locks for us. Kenny was very responsive to my requests, and design sense. (and a few quirks). He communicated necessary information (re delays, or orders) along the way, and always assured me he would make things right. He did indeed. Good workmanship is top priority for Kenny and if it didn't look right to him, he made it right. His team of workers and installers are top notch, reliable and friendly. We are thrilled with our new door, and grateful to have found the Tashman team who handled everything seamlessly.

Tashman Home center always provides excellent customer service and is the answer for anyone looking for hands on help or who has questions about DIY repairs. They had many services that the big hardware box stores do not, with product prices that are the same not more than their competitors. My experience could not have been more pleasant or quick.

On five different occasions, employees went out of their way to help, from helping me back into a parking space to showing me how to figure out how to fix something and measure correctly.

Pick up is in the back and sometimes full so for pickups of smaller items there is plenty of street parking.

I’ve been using Tashman for past couple of years. They replaced 3 glasses for my windows recently. The workmanship is amazing. The workers were efficient, clean and precise. I highly recommend them if anyone is looking for a great, professional job.

I can’t speak highly enough of Tashman. The employees at the hardware store are knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

I also replaced my windows and doors using Tashman and had a great experience. Initially during my meeting with Kenny, he was very personable. He discussed various products but I never felt like he was trying to upsell me. He understood my budget and my goals, and helped me choose windows and doors that were appropriate.

The workers who installed them were also fantastic. They were on time, considerate of my personal space, and just very nice people. Would highly recommend them for any window and door project.

We contacted Tashman's for casement window repair in our WeHo condo. We had to call multiple times just to get someone to answer the phone. We were promised call backs that never happened. We were transferred multiple times. Employees sounded annoyed and rushed on the phone. We attempted emailing managers with specific requests and descriptions of our project. It took a month just to get someone to come out and look at our casement windows for an estimate. We were not sent an estimate - - rather we had to email and call multiple times, and after 2 weeks they finally sent us the estimate. The estimate said that for $3,000.00 they would replace the hardware. We called to schedule and they told us they wouldn't have someone available to do the repair for 6-8 weeks. At this point we had already had to chase them for estimate for 2 months, and given their stressful and unresponsive customer service we said "no thank you". and hired a different window contractor. I recommend they train their employees to be more courteous on the phone, fix their organizational and team systems, and hire additional staff so that work and responses and estimates can be done in a timely and warm fashion. Window hardware shouldn't take 4 months to replace. Email responses and call backs should not be on the customer to chase Tashmans' down for response. I hope this review helps improve future experiences.

A big thank you to Joey, Kenny, and the entire Tashman team who helped me with the purchase/install of my new windows. In addition to being knowledgeable about the products they carry, they also were there for me to help out when things didn't go as planned with my contractor. They gave me the care, attention, and expertise that makes local small businesses so valuable. Tashman's has EARNED my trust and business.

Love Tashman!! The best hardware store in LA! I have gone in many times over the past 2 years of living in the area and every single time they are helpful, kind, genuinely want to help and do it all with a smile. From replacing glass on a vintage frame to cutting a litter box so my senior pet can still use the potty, they are the best!! Go here if you need anything for your life/home!

I recently replaced all the windows in my apartment and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Everything went perfectly, and when one window didn’t roll back properly, they sent help right away. Alex was fantastic—professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to upgrade their old windows and make their home more modern, comfortable, and energy-efficient.

Kenny, Manny and the entire Tashman team did excellent job retrofitting our slider balcony doors and big custom fixed panel window at our condo apartment. There was a factory issue with the product and they kept me informed, resolved any issues and gave us a good cost effective final product. I was impressed that the owner called me back and walked me through all important questions and the work site was kept and left clean every time they were on site. Great job.

Disappointment after disappointment from Tashman windows. I spent thirty thousand dollars for 2 windows to be replaced and in less than a year, they’ve pooled water, rotted wood, and split and broken. Kenny is a showman and all talk. He has ignored my texts for MONTHS on end and claims he “stands by his reputation”. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
