Joseph and his team at flowers Electric are amazing, persistent, very experienced, and do excellent quality work. We even had a confusion on a hot tub install set up and they rearrange their schedule within a day. With all of his years of industry experience, he also was able to give us fabulous leads for other work. I would highly suggest them, fully certified even at higher rates.

Joe Flowers was like a super hero who swooped down and saved me from being price gouged by another electrical contractor. Joe came to my apartment building on the same day I called him and charged me a fraction of the cost the other contractor wanted to charge me. Joe is a great guy, one I highly recommend.

New customer, the office was thorough with the explanation of what will happen during the service call when I set up the appointment. They worked really hard to get me in as son as possible. The technician let the office know to alert me he was on the way and well within the service window. The electrician was polite and easy to work with. He replaced my broken light fixture with a new L.E.D. one and it looks great. Thank you. Will definitely use again.

They answered the phone very quickly and had a technician out within 2 hours. The technician was prompt, professional, and fixed everything efficiently. This was on a Friday night after hours, which made it even more impressive. They were extremely helpful and the pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommend! Thank you for all your help!

We have done a couple large projects with Flowers Electric and have had very positive experiences. They are flexible, accommodating, and fairly priced. I would not hesitate to use them on our next project.

Recently I was in need of upgrading my old 1980’s Wood Brothers Homes 50amp/50amp split electric service panel to accommodate a new dual fuel stove requiring a 40amp plug / circuit. I needed to upgrade to (at a minimum) a 100amp – 125amp circuit panel.
I evaluated over 15 local electrical contractors, and requested visits / bids from what I felt were the top 5 to look at. With that I sent out a formal written request for proposal that outlined my expectations.
For this project I ended up with 4 firm bids ranging from $975 to $7,500. (The $975 bid with no panel change – just the kitchen 40amp line – and he would just ‘extend’ the grounding bar in the box that had no room for expansion. It was the cheap/fast solution but probably not the best engineered / long term future option. Cheapest is not always best!)
In the end analysis I selected Flowers Electric. They presented me with what I felt was the best value proposal. My spreadsheet rating and their straight forward approach to dealing with me, a homeowner, even though they are a large firm made the decision clear one. By going through the process of talking with multiple contractors, I felt that I understood how the other bidders were playing, and had clarity as to what my best solution needed to be.
They schedule me as soon as they could. They showed up on a cold day right after a snowstorm and got to work. Work was done in 10 hours. Always two people here onsite checking each other, and a third person came by at least 6 times, to insure that they had what any parts they needed, and everyone clearly understood what had to be done. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I felt very well taken care of. The project turned out perfect!
Two heads up; First, it is likely that the new box will not perfectly align with the box removed – resulting in siding damage that you will need to repair and paint touchup. Second, know you will be without power to the house for 6+ hours, so make plans accordingly. I had a good friend who loaned me a generator for the Freezer and Fridge.
In the end, I am perfectly satisfied with the results. It was a great experience, and a great job done. Flowers has been added to my contact database as my home electrician for future needs.
One thought. We have all gotten so use to hitting the ACCEPT button on binding contracts / agreements that we do not take the time to read and understand that is being said. In cases like this take the time to read carefully the bids / agreements and make sure you understand what is / is not included. If in reading it, you are not comfortable with something, than open up a discussion to clarify / modify / negotiate the agreement – something you cannot do with your online agreements (because it is either ACCEPT, or you cannot use their product). Yes, in the real world ANY contract or agreement can me be negotiate, and can be modified. If they won’t consider walking away. Any negotiated agreement should clarify and protect both you AND the people you are thinking of doing business with.
Flowers did not hesitate to address my concerns and adjust accordingly. -
We used Flowers twice. The last time they came out there was an issue that was not resolved in the two hour visit that took place. We were charged for the work and left dissatisfied. Unfortunately we missed the calls from Flowers where he attempted to follow up on the visit. Joseph showed up to our house and personally apologized for the inconclusive visit. He went above and beyond to rectify the situation. We appreciate his persistence and his honestly. We recommend this business.

My husband and I did a full scale remodel of our house, and our experience with Joseph Flowers was the worst part. Joseph came over to give us a quote and took 5 calls with in the span of the 30 minutes he was at our house. Once we walked him through the house, he continued to shame and belittle us, making us afraid to be in our own house. We had no electrical issues, we were just updating what we have. We then asked for a quote and he said, "there is no way I could know." We asked him for a ballpark and he said he didn't know that either but they would work as fast as they could. After this uncomfortable situation, we politely let him know that we did not think that he was a fit for our project. Out of retaliation, he called the city in attempt to get us into trouble, even though we were doing everything by the book. We write this a year later in hopes that noone else has to live our hell of an experience with Flowers Electric.
