Concrete Contractor reviews in Colorado Springs, Colorado

This company came out this morning and without notice or warning, put a "No Parking Sign in front of our house right next to my husband's car with a city ordinance number of 10.25.101. Accoeding to my ring camera, tgere was no sign that was staked in my yard at 11:05am and at 11:19am, there was a sign that was pit/staked in my yard and one of their workers took a picture of my husband's car license plate, they didn't wait very long to take pictures of people violating the ordinance. I'm at work and my husband got home at 5am today and was asleep, so he didn't know anything. I called the company and they didn't seem to care about the hardship they put on those residents that they block from parking, and don't care if or concerned mabout my husband not being able to park anywhere. Don't know where my husband is supppsed to park when he gets home. Funny thing is, the work they are doing is on the other end golf the street, why are they blocking us from parking in front of our house?

Just worked with H.D. Concrete to have 3 driveways and a long section of concrete sidewalk poured for our HOA. Am absolutely pleased with the experience. The bidding was straightforward with the owner showing up on time, a knowledgeable discussion of the scope of work and questions answered, and prompt submission of the bid which was very competitive. The crews showed up on time as promised, the tear down of the existing worn concrete was done quickly and the cleanup of the rubble was neat and well-coordinated. The new concrete pours were done on time and the finish work was professional. A real shout out for the owners, Freddy, Alfredo and Maria. I recommend HD Concrete highly.

Great Company. Very knowledgeable owners . And professional staff.
-
They have the largest percentage of the city's contracts than anyone, should say something about the business.

It’s funny people giving reviews are there friends,I was one of them.HCD”He Can’t Drill”,let alone all the lies and deceptions.Just try to look up “high country drilling”you will see! They haven’t changed ,I have .I would post how big of pos they are ,but they don’t have a web for there drilling ,because other than friends posting, the truth will come out.

One of their drivers are very dangerous in the road. Almost hit another car then I get in front of him and he starts driving erratically to catch up to me to yell that he has me on camera. Creepy guy, won’t ever use this business or recommend it!

Completely unprofessional company. No regards to othe peoples property much less taking into consideration of their customers. Would rate lower if possible.

This company has been doing work on my street for the last few weeks. Even after multiple requests to have them stop blocking our driveway they continue to do it. This is a residential neighborhood, not some commercial site. It is against the law to willfully block a private drive. If there is an emergency and my driveway is blocked it will be on HCDs head.

Jeff U and the other crew members helped this potentially GOM neighborhood resident (grumpy old man) to have an interesting learning experience.
Good job, Jeff. Keep up the good work!
Note to his manager: He's a keeper!
And ditto for the rest of the crew, including the joystick operator from South Dakota, Lindsay in their office, etc. -
HCD is doing work on our street as of today. I woke up to find one of their trucks and trailor blocking part of our driveway, and our mailbox. We have 2 cars that aren't operational, so only we only use the other half to drive our car in and out. The truck was also blocking the mailbox, needless to say we didn't get our mail today. If someone is blocking the mailbox, the mailman will drive around them and attempt to deliver the next day. In addition to blocking us in, and impeding mail delivery, they also drove their equipment through our yard. The flyer on our door knob said they would not be doing any work on our property. I had to check to make sure they didn't run over the sprinkler head, they missed it by about 1 inch.
Our nextdoor neighbor also had his mailbox blocked. The strangest part is, both trucks had plenty of room behind them yet, they chose to block mailboxes instead of backing up. If HCD is reading this, the driver of the vehicle blocking me in was named Andrew.
Colorado code enforcement states it is illegal to impede the delivery of mail in any way, including blocking a residential mailbox. Code enforcement also states all vehicles must be parked away from residential driveways by 5 feet on either side. It's also illegal to enter someone's property without their consent (or driving equipment through their lawn), it's trespassing. Please be more professional and more considerate of the residents. -
Our 'Summer of Concrete' (& asphalt) is nearing an end! Many thanks to HCD for a great job. Special nods to Carrie in scheduling and Oscar & his crew on the ground.

I never thought of concrete contractors as artists until I met Joe. One look at his work and you'll see why. We needed a new concrete patio for our new hot tub. And took several bids. Some contractors are content to do the minimum by spec; not Joe. He showed up when he said he would; answered all our questions; helped us pick a color and delivered a beautiful patio. I stand by my strong recommendation for J&M.

Called Joe to schedule a bid. He is extremely professional and courteous.
He came out and explained step by step what the work entailed and how long the project would take. We have used other concrete companies in the past and have not been impressed with there customer service and work performed. I feel comfortable using this company knowing that the work will be done right and we will be getting excellent customer service along the way. -
We don't normally post reviews, however we thought it good to post our recent experience with Joe. We had some projects that we thought needed to be done with concrete. We had heard about J&M Concrete from our painter and called them for some quotes. When Joe came to see what we wanted, he did something that we rarely see these days...he convinced us that concrete was not the best route for our projects and gave us some excellent advice (worth much more than the $30 quote fee) on how to accomplish what we wanted more cost effectively. Integrity. Even though we found we did not need his services this time, we feel that when we do, J&M Concrete will do us right.

We are Evergreen Ecoscape and Design LLC. We use J&M Concrete for all of our concrete projects. I am so comfortable using Joe’s services. Just like us, Joe takes his work seriously and has a sense of pride! His prices are competitive and his communication is outstanding! I highly recommend Joe at J&M Concrete for any concrete work you need!
