Philip and his crew were wonderful to work with! Philip walked us thru every step from the initial visit to talk about what we wanted, the 3-D rendering estimates (with more cost effective options), thru the demolition of our old deck and along every step of the construction of the new deck. Philip was very flexible in scheduling the demolition of our old deck to proceed repairs and painting of our house before the deck was built. Philip was always available to answers all of our questions and concerns!
His crew is very professional and you can tell they love what they are doing and take so much pride in their work.
It has been 3 weeks since the deck was completed and we could not be happier!! Look no further if you want a professional, knowledgeable and customer oriented company!! Thanks to Philip and his crew!!

What started out to be repair of the deck stairs turned out to be about
50 % rebuild of the whole deck due to the builder using untreated wood. This did not stop Philip Purdy. As the demolition of the deck moved ahead, more & more problems were revealed. This did not discourage Philip. He came up with new ideas at every turn with options & estimates to match. Always calm & professional we had the finish product right in our ball park of costs. Amazing! We are please with the finished product, the team that worked here each day, as promised, great clean up. Thanks to Philip & the whole crew. Job well done!

Had my deck replaced 3 months ago. Stonecroft did an outstanding job. My new deck looks great. Philip and his team were professional and courteous. Highly recommend Stonecroft Construction.

When you hire Stonecroft Construction you will not be sorry. They built us a new deck onto our house and we are more than happy and satisfied with the work quality. We feel they went above and beyond. While working on the deck everyone was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and very trusting. They met the deadline and stayed within budget. When they said they would be there on a certain day and time, they were true to their word. Philip brought out a great presentation of the materials, designs and schedules that he was going to use for our new deck. He and his crew had the old deck off the house and in the dumpster in a day and a half. He and his crew were very professional and knew what was required for each phase of the new construction. The deck is very attractive and functional. A great job from teardown to construction. You don't find service and skills of this caliber very often .Give him a call. You won't regret it.

When my wife and I needed to replace our deck, we conducted extensive research on deck companies. We were looking for a company that would produce quality work at a fair price. Based on the reviews we read and our initial meetings, we chose Philip Purdy of StoneCroft Construction. We had a vision for our deck project that included a custom pergola. It quickly became obvious that Phillip approached our project with enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, and creativity. He wanted us to see our vision come to fruition, and this required multiple reiterations of his 3D-designs.

After construction began, this dedication to excellence continued. Philip proved himself committed to quality work, never taking short cuts. For instance, when he and his crew ran into problems once they got the siding off our house, Philip provided pictures and descriptions of the issues. He then came up with a modified design to not only solve the problems but also strengthen the house.

We also appreciated how Philip communicated with us regularly, thereby ensuring we were comfortable with the process and materials. When we had some aesthetic concerns late in the project, Philip responded once again with respect and understanding. He explained some of his choices and talked us through other options. Ultimately, we determined his original plan was the best, but he took the time to allow us to make an informed decision. This is in stark contrast to other contractors we've worked with who charged ahead with a plan and acted inconvenienced by any re-evaluation. StoneCroft's commitment to customer satisfaction and a quality finished product was clear.

Simply put, StoneCroft Construction is a cut above. We couldn't be more pleased with the solid construction and aesthetics of our deck and pergola. And we loved working with Philip. He is a consummate professional--reliable, consistent, thorough, detail-oriented, and ethical. We felt like we could trust him. For these reasons, we give Philip and his crew our highest recommendation. In fact, we have already recommended them to friends and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

StoneCroft Construction is one of the best decking companies in the Springs area. The team is extremely professional, very respectful, and well organized. My wife and I needed to replace our old deck. We had several requests that we wanted included in the build, like stucco posts, a pergola, and an open concept. Philip took the time to listen to our desires and far exceeded our expectations. Philip is a great innovator; he is one of the very few builders who uses a steel frame, and, moreover a steel staircase. Our deck is 250 square feet, steel frame and staircase, composite decking material, stucco posts, and a cedar pergola. Philip went beyond what was required in all facets of the construction. His design allowed for the deck to only require two support posts, thus creating a larger open space below the deck. He also installed a much stronger supporting beam for the pergola, ensuring the build will last longer. The steel frame allowed for fewer support posts for the staircase, creating a smaller profile. I strongly recommend the company to anyone looking to build a deck. Their price was very competitive to their peers, but, in my opinion, much more detail and customer oriented.

Sitting in the sun on my new deck this morning, reading, I thought about what to write here. I don't typically write reviews, but StoneCroft finished my deck nearly a month ago now, and I've got nothing but good feelings about how things went and the end result. I feel a debt of gratitude to StoneCroft, and I want to give them the recognition they deserve.
I took proposals from the best deck builders I could find in Colorado Springs. Philip, the StoneCroft guy, stood out. He listened to what I wanted and helped me improve on it with some great suggestions about materials and construction methods. He inspired confidence.
I chose to go with a brand new type of metal framing and hardwood decking (which Philip managed to source for about the same cost as a good quality redwood).
I've had some really bad and really good experiences with contractors. Philip was one of the best. When it came to the build, he and his crew were fast, effective, and friendly. Philip asked me for decisions at key points. He proved himself to be an extraordinarily ethical man when he stopped and asked me for a decision which could have cost him a lot of time and money instead of pushing on with the less expensive "good enough" option. (His less expensive option was perfectly fine.) The finished deck is beautiful, and they left things immaculate when they were done.
Altogether, I'm kinda sorry the build is over. Watching things come together was exciting and fun, and Philip and his crew were a great to have around. I've got nothing but good memories of the experience, and I've got a beautiful deck that I have confidence will last for many years.

If you need a deck that is of the highest of quality, StoneCroft Construction is your company! Phillip's eye for detail is refreshing and his desire that you are pleased with and informed about the construction process was great. His crew is as good as I've ever been around, friendly and did a great job! Our new deck is as good as one could ever wish for!

Philip and his guys added a deck to our home and were great to work with. Philip was very patient as we worked through design changes. We have since recommended StoneCroft to a neighbor who has also had a deck built. They were very pleased as well. I recommend them every chance I get.

Philip was really great to work with. He helped us design something that was different than what we were replacing to provided better functionality for how we planned to use our deck. His crew was professional and everything was completed on time. There might be others that build a deck as good as StoneCroft but I doubt anyone builds one better. While I don’t expect any problems I’m confident that if any should arise StoneCroft will stand behind their work and make things right.

Steel framing and stairs were a major design point that my wife and I used in considering StoneCroft as our contractor. These new decks replaced our thirty year old front and back decks. With steel and trex materials we have no doubt our new decks will serve us very well.

Philip and his crew were absolutely amazing! We had an old deck that needed to be replaced and we are more than happy with the results of our new deck and highly recommend StoneCroft Construction. From start to finish the whole process with Philip was seamless, he took care of everything and I was even told by one of the inspectors that the deck we received was very impressive and absolute quality work. I am beyond thrilled with the results and couldn't be happier with our choice of StoneCroft Construction.

We had an excellent experience with StoneCroft Construction. I wanted our deck to look very modern (black exposed steel framing, grey composite boards, cable railing, custom privacy wall). Philip worked with me on the design and was extremely thoughtful in how he build our deck. Philip communicated well with me throughout the planning and building process. Everyone on the crew was very friendly. We are thrilled with the end result!

Exceptional service. Amazing crew. Philip provided personal service and made every permit was pulled. My highest recommendation. His use of steel posts and beams is far better than wood. Steel lasts for decades with no need for staining or painting. Our neighbors were impressed with the quality.

As a retired Building Inspector from Garden City, KS, I had used another contractor to build my elevated deck with a new roof (walk-out basement).
I needed someone to build the “L”-Shaped stairs from the concrete patio below, up 9-1/2 feet to the new deck, complete with Guardrails / handrails and to install the Guardrails around the elevated deck.
Phillip and his crew were among the very, very best that I had ever observed in all of my working Construction and Inspection Days.

StoneCroft did a great job on our new deck. They were very professional throughout the process. They answered all of our questions and were very efficient as soon as we decided to move forward. I would highly reccommend them.

We first met with Philip a few years back to inquire about replacing the bad deck that we inherited. He was patient with us then and gave us several options to consider for a new deck. We delayed the project a couple of years but contacted Philip as soon as we were ready and he picked up right where we left off. He worked with PPRBD and zoning for approval, listened to our needs, made great suggestions and in the end we have the deck that we always wanted. Very happy with the process, quality, and attention to detail. It was worth the investment and we wouldn't have worked with anyone else. He is not a salesman, this is what he does and his passion shows.

I just recently had StoneCroft replace a deck for me. The owner Philip Purdy is an incredible craftsman and a wonderful human being. His work ethic and attention to detail was something to behold. Even the building inspector told me I had selected the best in the area. Philip was a true pleasure to work with. The finished product is beautiful. Highly recommended!!

Philip and his team at StoneCroft did an amazing job on my deck. I am typically a “do-it-yourself” type of person, and generally find hiring someone frustrating, as there will never have the same care or attention to detail that I will have. This project was too big for me to tackle though, so I hired StoneCroft. There did an incredible job. Every mitre cut is tight, spacing is perfect, and even the silver screws under the deck were painted black to match the black steel frame. Philip’s crew built my deck as if they were building their own.

On top of that, his crew is polite, professional, and considerate. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
