I originally called Berwick electric and was referred to Sedlak due to the job type I needed done. I spent over a week trying to get ahold of someone at Sedlak. Using their schedule appointment button on their website, multiple calls during different times of day, and leaving a voicemail. I have never received a reply. For a company who claims to be open 24 hours a day they seem to hate answering their phones or emails no matter what time it is. I have given up trying to get in contact with them and will be looking at other companies to give money to.

I don't know how Sedlak is still in business. We had work done on my house (they did a fantastic job) but they are IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. We need to get an invoice from them (to close on our house) ASAP. We have called them every day for the past week and haven't been able to talk to anyone who can help us, most days no one even answers the phone. Great electrician... Worst customer service I have ever seen.

Called asking for 10g 30 amp wire. They were unwilling to check to see if they had that in stock. So they obviously didn't get my business or will they in the future.

I know very little about electrical supplies. I was given a list by my electrician. The employee at the counter knew exactly what I needed. You never what kind of help you'll get at Lowe's or Home Depot.

CED in an of itself is not a bad distributor. They're just not that good either. Like most other distributors / suppliers, they make a LOT of mistakes. We buy from all of the suppliers in town, but mostly from CED.
Why you ask?
2 reasons
1. Square D - They are the primary Square D supplier in town.
2. Mike Dunz - Mike is that rare person who really knows what he is doing, has exceptional customer service skills, and has great product knowledge.
3 stars for CED. 5+ for Mike!

Charged me a 25% restocking fee. Unless you're a big time contractor ordering $5k+ of supplies, you're much better off going to Home Depot or Lowe's.

Depending on who takes your order will determine how much you pay. They can’t seem keep anything in stock for any amount of time. Even if you place an order in advance you can be sure to wait anywhere from 30-45 mins for them to pull an order. 9 times out of 10 you can expect the counter help to be rude and inconvenienced by you even being there.

This place is next door to heaven and it seems all the employees are Angel's. I always get "rock star" parking. The bathroom is so clean my wife would use it. It's hard to not want to by a new tool every time I go there they have such a good selection. While the counter help are all ugly at least they are friendly and knowledgeable about a lot of things sometimes even electrical stuff. Plus I have never had anyone ding my truck in the parking lot. If they only would bring some donuts and coffee from next door it really would be heaven.

This place is great! I didn't know they existed until someone at Home Depot sent me over there when HD didn't have what I needed. The sales person I dealt with was very helpful -- made sure I had all the parts and pieces I needed for my project so I didn't have to make an extra trip back. The prices were very good. And I especially appreciated the way the sales person was patient with me and didn't make me feel at all stupid even though I didn't even know what the stuff I needed was called. My husband passed away a few years ago, and I've been trying to learn to do things to keep the house in a state of good repair. It's very hard sometimes. Places like CED and their staff make it easier.
