Always had a great experience working with the guys over at Finsterwald

The good - they promptly replaced a sprinkler head they broke when repairing our sidewalk.

The bad - they didn’t answer the phone. Be prepared to leave a message. The crews working on our street don’t speak English and I don’t speak Spanish. When they began the repairs on our street I asked them to park on another street away from the work areas since we also had to park on the street because their work kept us from parking in our driveways and garages. It hasn’t happened. I also asked them to put up a “no through traffic” type of sign because people use our street to avoid school traffic so there is higher volume in the mornings and afternoons. Since the work crews and us were already parking on the street, it seemed safer for all parties to have less traffic. This don’t happen either. Not sure if that was due to the language barrier or because they didn’t care. When the crews arrive and depart they drive pretty fast - faster than our normal neighborhood traffic does. They also decided stop signs with eight sides are optional. Some choose to share their music with us by turning the volume way up. It’s nice that they are willing to share but I don’t think any of us are interested.

I’m grateful to be getting new curbs, gutters and sidewalks - we desperately need them. It would be nice if Finsterwald’s crews were more aware of the residents in the areas where they are working. If I was working in their neighborhood and conducted myself the way they have, they’d leave me a bad review too.
