Great experience with Jim Black following a flood and heartbreak. We used another company for Mitigation before we knew they also do that. Things were not handled properly from that first company, but we immediately felt better once Jim Black took charge. Jesse and Miguel were amazing in making the process smooth, and I was communicated with and informed through the entirety of the ordeal. No one wants to have a flood or asbestos or lose items, but if you do, these are the people you want in your corner. You’d never know now and the results are wonderful! Carpet was even matched and the bathroom looks better than before. We are really glad we found you guys!!! Thank you so much 😊

I've had such a crappy experience with contractors since I moved to CO in 2017. This time around, Jim Black Construction was like a breath of fresh air. They did their work fast and always seemed happy to help and I was just amazed that someone actually cared enough about their work to do a good job. I recommend them 100% and if I need any home fixings again, that's who I will call.

Chris, Luke and Michael did a great job on our house after we experienced water damage in the kitchen. Water mitigation and repairs were done quickly on our schedule and looks better then it did before the damage. I totally recommend Jim Black construction for any of your needs, they will absolutely take care of you.

I’m here again to give high marks to this company, Jim Black Construction! A year after they installed our new wood product flooring (throughout our entire main floor due to a water leak underneath), they honored their warranty and came back out to make a few adjustments. Due to the dry conditions of Colorado's weather the flooring had shifted in a few places. Superintendent Chris Eddins came out to assess the issue and scheduled the work at our convenience. Tom and Craig quickly made the repairs and all is well again with our beautiful floor!! Thank you again, guys!!

I want to say a special thank you to Jon for the help with the design & Chris who was the foreman for the job. They were professional, and they offered their opinions which was very much needed because I had never been through this before. They also kept me informed along the way which makes the process easy. We had a dishwasher leak that damaged part of our hardwood floor in the kitchen, as well as the ceiling below in the family room. Our insurance company recommended Jim Black Co.. They repaired the hardwood floor, refinished the entire floor to ensure an "even" finish, and repaired the drywall damage in the family room with outstanding results. Mike, the overall manager, and Chris, the project manager, were knowledgeable, professional, and very easy to work with. They accomplished the work on OUR schedule. We will certainly use them again should another problem arise.

Jim Black Construction helped us out 2x in 2024. 1st we had a pipe freeze in January, our house flooded. Then in August we had hail damage to our roof, fence, and siding. Jim Black Construction was easy to work with, worked quickly and did a good job.
We would use them again!

My basement flooded and JB’s entire team was able to handle my project with the utmost professionalism and expert craftsmanship. Miguel and Jessy were excellent communicators throughout the process. Betty and the pack out crew went above and beyond to leave my space clean and organized. They were courteous, considerate and gentle with all of my possessions. It took longer than I had expected but I am thrilled the result. Highly recommend.

Great customer service! House trim was painted the wrong color and was fixed quickly after! Great company, will definitely higher for other jobs.

They are so slow! They have been working on my home for 3 months and barely anything’s done. They claim they had to get permits but that only takes maybe a week. At the end of the month I will be homeless due to insurance not covering next month because they should have already been done. They don’t care and don’t work. Bad service!

3 months ago we embarked on the journey of having to use home insurance in an emergency. Our upstairs toilet started pouring through our downstairs ceiling. We called another company to come help and then called insurance. Insurance said to try out Jim Black because they work with them closely. I called Jim Black and they came out same day. They were much nicer, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable with the situation and next steps. I called the first company and let them know we weren't going with them. Miguel came in and walked through several times with me to make sure we got everything down. We worked on what flooring to get etc. Jessy was the reconstruction supervisor and he worked with our hectic schedule. Having 2 dogs, 2 cats, and only being able to live in 2 rooms in the house was hard and complicated. If I had any questions I'd text Jessy and he'd respond right away. If something didn't get done that was supposed to happen I'd text Jessy and boom it was getting done. There were a few hiccups along the way but Jessy fixed them all. I'm finally getting my house back and I can't wait for it!

This was the third time we have used Jim Black construction. Twice for repairs after water damage and this time for wall repair after foundation work. Every time they have been fantastic. Easy to work with, quick to get scheduled and very efficient. Chris and Michael are great. We cannot say enough about the man they have doing drywall repairs. You cannot tell where the patches are and he is quick and thorough. They’re who we will call if we have any future projects.

We were dealing with a 2 year process from being scammed by DSI as they went out of business and put substandard material in our house all through USAA. When USAA asked who we wanted to use to rectify the situation, we chose Jim Black construction. We are extremely pleased with the professionalism, the punctuality and overall focus on efficiency and time on target with our claim being rectified. Our superintendent, Jessy was amazing! He was extremely respectful and knowledgeable in getting us taken care of. We had a second superintendent named Chadwick that was responsible for the cabinet replacement in our kitchen. The work he did was immaculate. Our kitchen now looks brand new because of it. Jim Black Construction not only met our expectations, they blew them out of the water. We were fortunate to have our claim handled with such care and attention. We would absolutely recommend Jim Black construction for your construction needs! 10 out of 10!

Jim Black construction helped me with an insurance claim and bathroom remodeling project. Jessy Moran was the project superintendent, he communicated well and managed the work very efficiently. Sub contractors were also all excellent. I’m extremely pleased with the final product!

Staff was great to work with. When water damage occurred they immediately started the drying process. When I had problems connecting the insurance representatives and adjusters, the staff interceded on my behalf. The drying, floor repair and refinishing went extremely well. We are highly satisfied. I would certainly recommend Jim Black Construction to everyone.

My basement flooded and ruined my carpet, and a good portion of drywall. My entire experience with Jim Black Construction was extremely delightful. The flood mitigation, handled by Luke and Pearce, was seamless and all steps of what was needed was explained to me which put my mind at peace.

The process to rebuild was handled by Mike, Chris, and Sam. This process was also very easy for me. I was given a schedule for the expected work and they were great about working around my schedule. The end result showed that they were very focused on the details. They had someone come back out to the property to clean up some marks that another party had made during the process.
