Horrible company and even worse customer care!!!!!! Will scam you and lie to you to get you on board!!!!!! DO NOT BELIEVE ANY ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS. They'll give you donuts and LIE to your face when you tell them it wont be worth it for you. They then, of course, hang on to the fact that their solar systems are non refundable and unable to be uninstalled. They also put in a solar system that is not compatible with their own consumption meter so then make that your problem when trying to resolve the significant increase in bills. I fully believe I am not producing ANYTHING beneficial or usable. Turns out I was right-not worth it and the $520/month I am paying for utilities and their panels is NOT WORTH IT!!!! DONT FALL FOR THE $30k SCAM!!!

Miguel is the only company that would help me with a big solar system mess. He showed up quickly and took care of it that day. I'm so thankful my solar nightmare is over.

Awesome company! They had to come out at take down and re install my solar that solar rise did so I could get my roof replaced. They were super quick and responsive and worked with the roofing company to ensure the smallest amount of down time. I wish I would have gone with them initially when I got solar back in November 😭

Do not use them unless you want poor customer service after they start taking your money.

SunPower was great when they were installing my panels. But now that I need them to temporarily remove the lien from my house, so I can refinance my HELOC loan, they can't do it. They have one form, that is used to refinance your home, which does not apply to me. I've spoken to customer service multiple times, they tell me to use that form and write what I'm trying to do. And every time I do it, SunPower refinance team sends it back to me saying we have to have a signature from both parties. Because of them, I've not been able to secure a three-point drop in my HELOC loan. This is been going on for 4 months. I am so angry I can't see straight. Do not use them they will not help you after they start taking your money.

Miguel and his team were fantastic. I had issues with a previous solar company that I had gone with initially and Miguel made everything right. My system is working better now than when it was brand new in 2018.

Prior to getting any quotes for my project, I did significant research into home photovoltaic (PV) solar systems and had a list of systems, manufacturers, and designs that I was interested in and was very knowledgeable myself in the PV/solar systems. I got quotes from 10 different companies from Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Denver since home solar is a substantial investment; I choose to work with Sun Power Energy LLC due to Miguel's extensive knowledge of PV systems and his express ability to answer every question expertly. Miguel wasn't like the salesmen from almost every other company I got quotes from, he could address every curveball question I threw at him, most that I already knew the answers to before asking as my way of vetting contractors. He had experience will all the top manufactures, knew design specifics off the top of his head, and was able to provide critical insight which helped me select the best system for my location.

I was able to work with Miguel at Sun Power Energy throughout the process of getting solar installed on my house in December of 2022. Miguel worked diligently to develop a system that would work at my location given the zero energy export constraints from my energy supplier along with my manufacturer and system efficiency preferences. Miguel worked through the 2022 material shortages and logistic issues, and he also worked through the engineering development during the permitting process to ensure that the system was installed by the end of the year. The system I chose with Miguel was significantly more complex than what most of the other companies were able to undertake. In the end, it just makes sense to work with an individual and company who truly knows what they are doing in and out in their industry.

We ended up going with a 9.9kWh PV system utilizing SilFab and SolarEdge components. I would recommend Miguel and Sun Power Energy to anyone looking to get the right system for their home.

We met Miguel Silva at a home show as we were looking for solar panels. Miguel seemed like a straight shooter and we lined up a quote, along with 2 other companies. For a lot of reasons, we chose his company, and we’ve been extremely pleased with the services and with Miguel. He walked us through the process, gave us routine updates, and did a wonderful job as an interface between us and the team. During installation, in particular, we talked daily. We’d definitely do business with him again. He’s been great for us!

My friend had a wonderful experience with Blue Raven Solar. I wish I could say the same. I was so optimistic at first but quickly figured out that it was all about profits. I was originally told that our main electrical panel at our house needed to be replaced. The quote was for $7000. When the electricians came they said that our panel had already been replaced to a 200amp panel so it was not necessary to replace it. So they did their work on the meter box and the Blue Raven Solar still billed us for replacing our main panel even though it was not replaced. They dropped the bill to $5200 but would not go any lower. So in the end we paid $5200 for Blue Raven to NOT replace our main panel. I would and am telling everyone I know to stay away from Blue Raven Solar. Nobody needs that kind of screwing!

Miguel with Sun Power Energy was the only company that did not ask for money up front to fix my solar system when it quit generating power. Many companies would not work on my system because the original company had gone out of business. Miguel followed up on the warranty. Other companies wouldn’t. He gave me a fair bid for labor and held to that bid. Sun Power Energy is great.

Miguel Silva knows solar! 1st of all the 2 companies I had install my panels were long gone and out of business, but Miguel from Sun power energy saved the day! I called 3 different solar companies for help with my non- producing panels & Miguel was the only person that called me back! He promptly checked the panels found what was wrong, then steered me to the company insurance I needed to reach out to about my warranty. I received a settlement for the non- producing panels & Sun power energy replaced all my panels & optimizers with BETTER equipment w/ NO out of pocket cost!! Miguel & Sun Power Energy is the BEST!! 5 STARS ALL AROUND!

I cannot say enough positive about Miguel and his knowledge, professionalism, promptness, most of all his kindness. I called him at ten minutes to close yesterday and he made time to come and check my non producing system early this morning. He had us up and running again in very little time. He did not install our system but was willing to help. He was also willing to teach me what to look for. If we ever upgrade to batteries I will be calling this company. Truly an expert in his field. Sun Power Energy is a home run, touchdown, and goal all wrapped up together!
We needed a roof replacement along with solar remove/replace. Miguel Silva initially provided the best estimate for the solar remove/replace, then came back with a bid for the roof that beat three other dedicated roofing companies - the numbers weren't even close.
Miguel kept us well-informed of everything that was happening throughout the project - we never had any surprises. He discussed with us any changes or new developments before he took action.
Miguel's solar and roofing teams were punctual, efficient, meticulous, knowledgeable, professional, and fast. They got everything done in between windows of bad weather (springtime in Colorado Springs) with zero delays. Everything passed the county inspections on the first visit.

Miguel recently completed a grid connected 12 K.W. Solar system, 10 K.W. Battery and EV Charger. This system is ground mounted. Miguel also managed to have a new shed installed on the property for the solar and having that shed wired properly for the power company and to our needs as well. Miguel was very attentive to the needs of our system, as we pursue a more sustainable agriculture concept, and helped bring them together. The working conditions were sometimes difficult, and unforeseen challenges arose during the process. Miguel was patient, committed, knowledgeable and professional throughout the process, found solutions rapidly and stuck to his initial bid. Miguel’s communication through the project was excellent and work was completed in a timely manner. We are happy that we made Miguel our solar contractor and know who to call if our needs change.
