Solar Energy Company reviews in Commerce City, Colorado

Pro Bid Energy is truly phenomenal. I had them out to fix an issue with the electricity in my barn. We had a power surge and could not figure out the issue. Elijah was here for 2 hours the first time and finally figured out I had a broken underground wire. The guys returned to fix the wire that past Monday, Jacob, Elijah, and Damian all arrived and finished in no time, and it works perfectly. If you need electric work this is the company to use hands down.
Even the price for an electrician was reasonable. You won't be disappointed. -
This company rocks we've called other companies and they were unable to fix the problem first time out these guys had it fixed thank you!

It was a pleasure speaking with Tom Brown about solar energy. His knowledge of the industry and attention to our needs for our home we’re exactly what we have been looking for.
-
Specifically, Tom Brown, did a great job in answering all of our questions about the company, financing, the solar products and the industry in general. THANKS for having integrity!
-
Excellent service. They walked me through the process and recommended the best options for my energy needs. Don't use another company like I did...you will be upset, disappointed and missing lots of cash.
-
This company is incredible. Efficient, cost effective, proactive in communicating every detail of our project. We love our new solar panels, thank you for such an amazing experience!
-
Great company to work with if you want upfront and honest answers. Solar may not have worked out for our situation but they were upfront with us throughout the entire process. We will be going solar with Pro Bid Solar in our next home!
-
Every aspect of our process has been professional and customized to our needs. Mark Kunkel did a great job educating us about systems and processes for permits (which they handled for us completely). They also helped us score thousands of dollars of energy rebates the city was offering.

Began working with this company through Rocky Mountain Solar Solutions May 2019. This is now November 6, 2019.
After communicating with Danny Glennon and Jesse Stubbs we were excited to get going on having solar installed. Paperwork was completed. Site visit was completed by Vemco, an electrical contractor in our area and ready for installation. We had been in contact with Pro Bid about an upcoming vacation and wanted to make sure that installation was not during that week. Then it all fell apart. That was the only time the installer could do it and then there was no more communication. We reached out to Rocky Mountain Solar Solutions. They were able to find out from Pro Bid the solar panels were lost after being shipped. Then next excuse (via Rocky Mt. Solar Solutions) was the electrical company could not install until after potato harvest was over in our area. Still no communication from Pro Bid. Rocky Mountain Solar Solutions on our behalf cut ties with Pro Bid. This was end of August 2019.
Question being how do you loose 27 solar panels and not communicate with your customer? Why do you not find someone to install a product when everything else is in place? Not sure we got the complete story from anyone. Never did hear back from Pro Bid.
We still have no solar. No one seems to be able to follow through or service our area. The San Luis Valley in Colorado.
Cannot recommend this company. -
I had major issues with another solar company that was not fulfilling their contract with me. I contacted Tom Martino the Troubleshooter and they set me up with Pro Bid Energy. They could not have been more helpful in stepping up and going above and beyond my needs. Be careful. There are many solar companies that are out for a quick dollar. Call these guys first and know you'll be taken care of.

Overall very pleased with this company. Everyone was kind and the work was done well. I only post four stars because there was an issue with the invoice being submitted properly. But, when I reached out to the owner, he went above and beyond and immediately fixed the problem.

I had air sealing and new insulation put in by Kevin. He's great to work with and really does good, thorough work. Plus, he just seems like a good guy and really cares that you are happy with the work done. Also, I worked with Mark a little regarding the bid for the work and possible other projects for the future. He was very informative, seemed to care about your needs and I feel provides fair pricing for the work done by Pro Bid.

We found out about Pro Bid through their main sales associate Tom B. We met with, and researched, 5 different solar companies before making the final decision to go with Pro Bid Energy. They were the best when it came to price, product for price, and timeline for install. We got to personally talk to, and work with, at least 4-5 members of their company and team during the process. The only hiccups we had were with the local power company here, and they walked us through every step, keeping in close contact through emails, calls, and texts throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend!

A company that delivers on what the promise! When I first met with Tom from Pro Bid, he was great. He helped me understand how the different products they used worked and what other options we could choose. From there, they were one of the few companies with a reasonable installation timeline. My system was up and running within two and a half months! Not to mention the level of communication and professionalism throughout the entire process. A++ I definelty recommend Pro Bid for anything Solar!

Pro Bid Energy and their conscientious and hardworking onsite workman, Brett, did an excellent job assessing and ultimately rewiring and upgrading our existing Solar system and installing a new ChargePoint station in our garage. They ran into a number of unexpected areas of damage with our old system, but were able to switch gears quickly and get the job completed despite often cold and snowy conditions. They were recommended to us through a friend and I would highly recommend them to anyone else contemplating a new or upgraded solar energy system.

I called Pro Bid Energy as I had heard them on the Tom Martino show as I had a 100 year old friend of my dad's, Chuck, who needed help with his very old solar system. It was unlike my own system so I was hoping Pro Bid could help out on my sketchy information. Mark got back to me right away and could tell from my information that it was a thermal solar system. He was unsure whether or not they could help on this type of system but set up an appointment to send a technician out within two days. Robert, who I will call a knight in shining armor arrived on time. A very personable and well informed solar tech. He and Chuck chatted and Robert set to work to figure out what was going on. Working in Chuck's attic above his garage with hardly any light as Robert pointed out there was no power to this area. He was able to trace the wires, it was fascinating to watch him work. With Chuck's at times limited memory we were able with Robert's great detective work to find the thermostat that controlled things but still no power. More sleuthing around Chuck's garage and a power switch for the solar unit was found. From there Robert was able to "see " the blower that was not working. He then used a blower that Chuck had already and was able to get things hooked up properly and running. The malfunctioning blower had not even been hooked up properly. So within two hours Robert and Pro Bid was able to take a very frustrated Chuck, as he was always able to fix his own things, to a very satisfied consumer. I could not hang out until the end but Robert called to bring me up to date on all he had done. It just goes to show that even in this day and age of being skeptical about companies that there are still fabulous one out there who care about their customers and will go the extra mile to help you out. Huge thanks to Mark and especially Robert for your service and caring about your customer. You are in our list of contacts for future needs

We’re entering our second year since our system was commissioned. Probid is great! Only a few minor issues with the system that were immediately resolved either remotely or in person. Our electrician noted the install was the cleanest he’d ever seen. We have 13.1 kw with battery backup. Great experience working with Probid! Tom, Nate, and Jesse were more than willing to explain anything and didn’t mind me lurking around as they worked.

We got three proposals to install new solar panels on our house. Pro Bid Energy was very competitive and we were impressed with the quick and thorough response from Danny Glennon, our project manager. We are very happy we decided to use them. The entire process was seemless, from the contract to the application with the city and Xcel. Danny handled all the details and kept us informed of the progress being made. We heard the process could take awhile depending on the city permit and final inspection and the same with Xcel. From our first contact with Pro Bid on 9/26/23 to turning on our solar panels for production on 11/13/23, it only took 7 weeks which was excellent. The installation was completed in one day and the crew did a very good job. We would recommend Pro Bid Energy to anyone who wants to install solar panels. We are completely satisfied.

Pro Bid Energy did some rewiring of my system back in October of 2023 because there was an issue with an Enphase Aggregator that was housed under my panels because that kept failing. I should have seen the red flags when I started working with Pro Bid as I constantly had to pursue Mark Kunkel to get answers or time frames about the job. Fast forward a few months and they complete the work and I think everything is good to go. But then, Half my panels go out and of course it's a week or two before I realize it. So I reset the breaker and make the panels turn on again. That's good it's not to hard to fix but this pattern continues for 5-6 months where the panels would continually go out and I would need to reset the breaker. I finally realized that the pannels would go out every time we received precipitation. Anytime there was rain or snow, my panels would go out. So I emailed Mark, told him I believed something was exposed as my panels would stop working and the breaker would pop. Mark emails back, says that he has notified the owner and someone would get back to me. I wait a few weeks and no one responds. I then called, left a couple VM's and messages with a receptionist. Still, No one responds. This goes on for a couple months with no one responding to the issue so I finally am able to get my brother, who's an electrician, over to the house and sure enough, we find an exposed end of wires that were not capped. They sat there arching and melting anytime it rained or snowed. To this day, neither the owner of Pro Bid Jesse, or the business Development manager Mark, have gotten back to me in anyway. Even after I sent them photos and an email of the problem that we found, still no call or email So if you use Pro-bid, expect to struggle with communication or follow up. And hopefully your house doesn't burn down from exposed arching wires somewhere under your panels... You've been warned.

Absolutely loved working with Pro Bid. They were extremely communicative, clear, professional, and timely. Every single person who I had a decent amount of contact with was wonderful, and I'd say that was at least 6 people. To give folks an idea of some other options out there, one of the other solar companies we considered didn't even request information on or look into our regular electricity usage to determine how many panels would cover our needs, so their proposal would have covered somewhere around 70%. And they were quite rude when we didn't go with them. Ridiculous. Pro Bid was fantastic start to finish—we're very happy with our system and the education they provided about it. Highly recommend! Big thanks to Mark, Candy, Jacob, Kieler, and everyone.
