Melvin Escalante replaced the sprinklers in my front and backyard with water saving rotating sprinklers and repaired three different broken drip lines. After just a couple days of using the new sprinklers, the sprinklers in the front yard began to pour out water from the base of the sprinkler. I called Melvin back and he returned the day I called him. Melvin reported that the sprinklers were “stomped on” and that someone had broken them, yet there were no signs of physical damage that I could see. I paid Melvin for these repairs. Within 2 days of the repair work, the same front yard sprinklers began pouring out water at the base of the sprinkler again . I also noticed that there was an issue with two of the sprinklers in the backyard and one of the drip system repairs that Melvin supposedly repaired was completely broken and, when that particular drip was on, water was spraying out from the drip hose. I called Melvin again, but this time he did not respond. I then called and texted him several times over the next two weeks with no response.

I ended up having to call another landscaper to fix the issues. This landscaper had to replace several parts on the sprinkler heads installed and repaired by Melvin. It turns out that Melvin used very cheap parts in the sprinkler that could not handle the pressure of the line. As for the “repaired” drip line in the backyard, Melvin did not use a metal bracket to attach the old drip line to the new drip line. I’m not exactly sure how he repaired that because the two lines were not connected when the other landscaper looked at them .

I will never recommend Melvin as he is unprofessional and does not stand behind his work. It also cost me much more money to repair the work he was supposed to have done right the first time.
