100% satisfied with my xeriscape project that was completed yesterday. The entire process from designing to install went smooth, and most importantly was affordable for my budget. Would highly recommend for landscape design/projects - we love our new yard!

The workmanship and professionalism was evident in all the work that was performed. Marco and his crew were prompt on their timeline. We are very pleased with the landscaping work they did.

Guaranteed Excellence?! What a joke. 1st the designer would not listen to what we stated we preferred. Gave us a hand written design of which most of it was too small to make out. Requested bigger design and didn't receive it until day of install. Did not give us notice when installers were showing up and when she did, they actually came a day or two early. When I arrived from work, the installers had laid out the plants and it was a mess. I contacted designer and she re-worked the design on the phone costing me about $2K more than original plan. Signed off on it regardless. Asked if she or her boss would come out the next morning before installers actually put the plants in the ground. Told me she was too busy. Got home next evening and one large bed had nothing in it although the design included several plants including Russian Sage. Installer stated he would place the extra plants in that bed. I assumed he spoke with designer and owner. Those were not even the plants that I agreed but at this point I said ok, to be done with it. Next day the designer gives me an invoice for $2K more than what I signed off on. I refused to pay because no one advised their screw up from the 2nd design was going to cost ME more money and they refused to come out that morning to ensure the plants were put in according to design. They told us in the beginning their plants are guaranteed for six months. We now have dying plants and they refuse to replace them because of the unpaid screw up they caused. Would not recommend this group EVER...Guaranteed Excellence??? What a JOKE!

These guys did a great job replacing some bluegrass with xeriscape and replacing the grass a couple years ago. I asked them to clear out some stuff that still needed to be done and clean up for spring, as I'm recovering from shoulder surgery.
Again a great job, quick and complete.
Only issue I have is they planted a tree and some new plants, and we didn't turn on the sprinkler system as it's too early. They watered everything in using house water from a spigot, and neglected to tell me it was broken. They had some parts they used to make it work, but they took them with them. I wish they'd taken off the broken connector, but they didn't and I can't as I'm still one-armed.
The sprinkler system has a leak, and they said they'd try to get out today so I can water stuff without carrying buckets. Haven't heard from them. Bummer. Trying to find someone else.
Communication is probably the weakest thing, but they do very good work.
Oh and they designed the xeriscape as well.

Guaranteed Excellence implemented a xeriscape landscape in our front yard by removing all the turf, terracing the yard, installing 2 short "rip rap" decorative walls along with numerous drought tolerant plants. We couldn't be happier as they were professional, prompt, hard-working and easy to work with. I highly recommend!

Provided a design plan proposal and timelines did an excellent job and completed the job on time. They completed two retaining walls around our trees, along with mulch and rock beds. They remove soil and added soil. We’re needed for level clean look would highly recommend fair price and excellent work.

We are so happy with the work Rafael and his team did with the trimming on all our damaged trees. They also mowed, trimmed bushes, and cleaned my yard, which now looks awesome!

Where to begin in describing my satisfaction with Guaranteed Excellence. We just built a new home, and as anyone knows, the outside of the home is just as important as the details inside the home. Angie met me MONTHS before we were ready to lay landscaping to design the outside of our home. She kept in mind our overall design style (modern farmhouse), met our HOA guidelines, and came with suggestions that met my budget. When it came time to finally lay the irrigation, sod, and additional elements the team navigated a changing timeline due to builder interruptions. They were patient and understanding! When it did come time for install, Rafa (owner) and his team were onsite daily ensure each detail was attended to – soil grade, tree placement, even taking the time to educate us on how to drain the irrigation system ourselves. Our project isn’t even complete and I already LOVE every element (especially my garden boxes). I cannot recommend Guaranteed Excellence and the work they do more!

Their design, creativity, experience, professionalism and communication are the best we have experienced with a project like this. They were thoughtful about every detail, talked with us daily about progress, collaborated on decisions, executed the work with quality/integrity and were amazing about making a couple tweaks along the way.

I assume you’re here reading these reviews to determine whether to use this company. I would HIGHLY recommend them. I just had my backyard done with them. They were the best price, their service was excellent, and they showed up on time and did what they said they were going to do. I dealt with Angie and Marco and couldn’t have had a better experience. They listen to my feedback while also guiding me on what would be smart long term. This was really the differentiator for me. When starting this project I actually had eight quotes provided to me and guaranteed excellence was the best priced. I didn’t do anything crazy with my backyard so honestly I think anybody could have completed the job, but I am not confident anyone else would’ve done it so quickly and with such good communication.

Very happy with the work Guaranteed Excellence did on my property which included building a retaining wall, adding a fire pit, and planting some trees. Reasonably price, great attention to detail, and any small issue that came up they were very willing to fix. Would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking to get landscaping work done!

Marco Alvarado and his team just completed a large patio area with pavers, and it looks GREAT! They are really good at planning a project and executing it in a thoughtful, efficient manner. Not only does it look beautiful, but it will also drain water away from our house much more effectively. They are careful, precise workers who take their projects very seriously. They have done several other drainage mitigation projects for us in the past, as well as our regular pruning. We believe their prices are quite competitive. After a retaining wall in our backyard needed to come down we ended up with about 90 large bricks that we wanted to reuse somehow. We met with Erik at Bee Friendly Landscapes who helped us design a front yard border. Erik put us in touch with Rafael at Guaranteed Excellence to help us build the border. At first we did the left side of the front yard but because we loved it so much we made arrangements to do the right side. We believe we added much curb appeal to our property. Rafael, Marco and their crew were attentive, fast and did an excellent job with our new borders. We are amazed at how they helped us repurpose the bricks into something beautiful. The Guarantee Excellence staff did a very nice job cleaning out the garden area, selecting new plants and planting them. They were polite, worked quickly and the plants look great. The supervisor told me what to do to take care of the plants.
