After acquiring 3 estimates for what it would cost to have an ornamental apple tree with fire blight removed, I hired Dave Tree to do the work. They removed the apple tree as well as 3 Alberta spruce trees that were failing, ground those stumps and the stump of a huge cottonwood tree I had removed the prior year. The work was exceptional - they did an excellent job in a timely manner for an incredible price! (A neighbor who does tree work came to ask what it cost to grind the cottonwood stump – he was amazed when I told him – said I got a really good deal!) The best part was how they handled a problem. They had to bring the stump grinder up some stairs constructed of railroad ties and also use it on top of a tie to get one of the smaller stumps. Admittedly, these ties are old and there is some rot in them. Moving the grinder over these ties caused some inadvertent damage. I was ready to defend my request that they repair the damage based on the fact that normal wear and tear would not require me to replace these any time in the near future. Mike Protextor (the boss) came out and looked at the damage. I didn’t even have to defend my position – they damaged it, they would repair it – and that is just what he did! Again, excellent work in a timely manner. Who does that anymore??? I highly recommend Davey Tree and will have them back in the fall to trim a tree in my front yard!

Would not recommend. A very large tree fell on our garage. Davey had serviced the tree for 25 years and promised to remove it. After weeks of planning and coordination, they backed out (without actually saying they were backing out). Their explanation was that their "risk department" needed to review it. I never received another call from them after that. Delayed the removal of the tree by weeks as I had to find another company and go through all the same steps (lining up crane, approving street closure, etc.)

I had recently had a misunderstanding on a service. After speaking with Jay he took full responsibility for the issue and made everything right. They do amazing work and and were more than willing to make the situation work. That’s the sign of a good,honest well run company. Don’t hesitate to use them.

We have trusted our tree care to Davey for years. Our Autumn Blaze Maple is under some duress and the team of women who came out to do some trimming last week were awesome! They did a great job and answered all of my questions and the tree looks to be making positive improvements to get back to healthy. Thanks again Morgan, Noei, and Ali!

Have tried many firms from big to small over the years (home owner for 17+ years). Have always had 3-4 big trees that need attention every other year or so. Just moved a touch further south and was referred by a new friend on our block. Hands down the best in town from the value in the cost of the services to how great of a clean up they do. I see no reason to try anyone else (not many left :-)) Davey will have my business from here on forward. Big Thank you Jay and his team!!

I had the pleasure of working with Davey in Centennial near my home removing a LARGE (biggest on the block) cottonwood that was dying. Between Michael’s quick and easy direction and quoting(the most competitive we explored) and Bob, Natali, and crews expertise, they swiftly and carefully removed the tree, down to the stump, and ground that down. They were efficient, friendly, and fast. Bob went above and beyond taking apart/putting back some fencing we had to move for the equipment, and natali did similar adjustments to the equipment to efficiently operate in the small space in the back. I’ve had other trees removed of slightly smaller size, and still paid more for a lesser standard of work. Thank you all. If you need a tree down, call around if you want to waste your time and money, otherwise call Davey.

My husband I bought a home last year with massive elm trees that were in serious need of some TLC. We had a really bad elm leaf beetle problem that led to the leaves being almost completely eaten, with the beetles getting into our home constantly. We worked with Davey to put together a care plan for the trees and in just one year, we have two incredibly beautiful, full canopy elm trees. I could not be happier!! Not to mention the investments we made in these trees are saving us tons of money on cooling as we have way more shade this year than last. Davey also did some much-needed pruning for us last year and after w wind storm, we had a big branch come down. Davey came right out after a phone call and handled the storm damage at a discount since we just spent so much on trimming. Very professional, reasonable, and responsive. Highly recommend the Davey team!!

I want to commend Chris for his heroic save. He is kind & knows exactly what to do to help out growing things, tricky situations, and with expediency. I’d give him a bouquet of flowers for all he was able to save. Everything is blooming😘

Davey has shown professionalism throughout my encounter with them. The team that came out today had a full day's work and performed outstanding. Bob, Shep and Natalie were climbing through many of our trees and I believe they all look soo much better. Glowing review here! Pretty simple, needed three trees checked out for disease. Come to find out this is a free inspection with Davey! Moreover, wow they are knowledgeable! I almost offered for them to sell and plant new ones, except the arborist said not to put that kind of tree there, was a poor choice fromthe landscaper. Even went on to educate me about keeping the one remaining tree alive during the winter. Could not be more pleased with them, and in awe of their dedication to customer service. 5 stars without a doubt.

I am very pleased with the services I have received from the Davey Tree company. I have been a customer for many years off & on. I have used other companies I thought, to save money. Which was at mistake. It cost more to repair the damage. I have always been impressed with the maintenance & trimming staff.
The latest crew were exceptional. They spent 9 hours & did a beautiful job. Bob, Natali & Shep worked great together. They are very professional, kind, hardworking & perfectionists.

Today Kyle from the SE Denver office came out and did our deep root watering for our 4 trees around the property. He was very thorough, professional, and extremely polite. We recently had Davey tree prune quite a few of our trees. Carolyn was the arborist and she had a helper. They did an excellent job. Carolyn reviewed everything they were going to do and she spoke to us when they completed the big job. She pruned and shaped the trees beautifully. We were very impressed with their work. They were both professional and very friendly. I asked questions and got knowledgeable answers. I would not hesitate to recommend Carolyn and Davey tree. We are extremely pleased .

These people do excellent work! They not just have a professional arborist who understand the trees well and what they need, their crew is super professional and careful with the trees and house. They have also saved one of my trees that had bolting and cabling done due to a crack, I had 4 other companies come over and they had not interest on saving a tree because they charge more to take the whole thing down.
