We've had a great disappointment with ArborScape. They came in and gave us a quote for cutting down our tree, which was $1,200. That totally beat out the completion (we had 2 other quotes). We were happy to schedule a cutting 3 weeks out. We were on notice with our HOA and had to extend the time to get rid of the dry tree. On the date when they were scheduled to come in, I got a call from them, telling me that that quote was too low and they'll have to do the work for 2 days instead of one and they can't cut our tree for lower than $3K! Which was more than double the original quote! I asked bewilderingly why they won't honor their original quote (which we had in writing). They just told me that it won't be worth their time. The guy who called me said that he's an expert. Then I promptly asked him if the guy who came in originally (Andrew) is not an expert since he agreed to cut the tree for $1,2K. There was no reply. Andrew eventually called and apologized for misquoting. Kudos for that - facing an angry home owner and all. Well, we found someone to cut our tree soon and they did it for $1K. So I guess the time and money is much more valuable for ArborScape than a good business reputation. I work with businesses and I know that sometimes you have to eat the price in order to keep your reputation. This was disgraceful. Never again.

Arborscape communicated well and showed up at the scheduled time.
Otherwise, we are unhappy with the services and would not use them again. They trimmed three large trees for us and ground down a few small bush stumps. Two of the trees have continued to shed trimmed limbs for a few months now. It’s not the biggest issue, but removing the trimmed and dead branches was within the scope of the quote.
The third tree is the bigger issue. It is a large spruce and the quote stated that Arborscape would trim and prune limbs up to 30 feet, and remove limbs off the roof of our home structure. The trimming was done unevenly so that one side of the tree has limbs that drape to about 6 feet off the ground (and are over a walking path). Arborscape also did not trim any limbs that are draped on power lines. When I called to discuss these issues with Arborscape, they told me that an even canopy was aesthetic and that removing limbs on power lines was not within the scope of the quote.
For a bill of $2165, we expected that aesthetics and safety were within the spirit of the deal, but apparently not.

Horrible service! I asked for an estimate to have a tree trimmed, agreed to the price, but when the specialists showed up they decided they needed different equipment that cost more than double the original quote. Plus they told me I had to wait 4-6 weeks. I found a different firm on Angi that completed the work the next day.
