Hired Foothills Tree to remove some trees as well as do some pruning. Was very impressed with their knowledge and attention to detail. They were quick, got the job done, cleaned up beautifully and the rates were reasonable. Highly recommend!

Kevin and his crews have cared for my trees and bushes for a number of years and have done such a good job, both as to the health and appearance of them. They always leave the work areas clean and in good shape which I really appreciate.

We had 4 different bids to get our honey locust tree pruned out and even if Foothills being just slightly more in cost, we got so much for our bucks! They did such a great job, were professional and really listened to what we were looking for. Very detailed. Clean up afterwards was immaculate. Would highly recommend.

We have used Kevin and his team on several of our tree removals. Unfortunately the 2008 tornado has slowly but surely taken its toll on our trees and most of them had to be taken down. Most recently however we had a tree struck by lightning and the top had died off. Kevin came out and instead of removing the tree he recommended we take off the damaged area and give it plenty of TLC.... water, nutrients etc... to see if it could be saved. Thankful that is their attitude instead of "cut it down" prefer to not lose anymore trees. Great team, quick and helpful service.

This has been one of the worst companies we've ever had the displeasure to come in contact with. They do subcontract work for PVREA "trimming" trees for the power lines. Now we understand the need for this, but years previous, they left all the trimmings for us to clean up. In speaking with the owner, Kevin, this year we expressed our concerns with what they have done in the past with leaving trimmings behind, he informed us that he's been doing it for 25 years and it was PVREA that left the trimmings behind most likely.

Secondly, they are driving big trucks all over our yard with out asking permission. When I noticed this, I got him on the phone and let him know that's NEVER how it's been done, and that wet conditions exist where the trucks are and that if they bury a truck they are responsible for any damage caused.

Thirdly, I informed him there are cameras all around the property. He did not heed my warnings. I have them on camera talking bad about my mother and one of his co-workers making motions that we're crazy. Very professional. I will upload this video on YouTube and share the link.

I have reached out to PVREA to express my concerns with this subcontractor and his lack of professionalism. All the positive reviews seem to paint a different picture, so apparently we are the problem with merely wanting our property respected, and their trimmings cleaned up.

We will have Climbers Tree Service, a professional tree service, do this next time because they have completely butchered our trees.

Foothills Tree Experts of Fort Collins, CO came out to prune and/or remove seven large trees on our 8-acre property off Bingham Hill Road on March 12, 2025. They had the job completed in less than four hours, including clean up. It was impressive to watch how organized and efficient they were. We particularly appreciated that any time there was the slightest question about what we needed done, they made sure to ask before proceeding another step. Many of the trees were located at the periphery of our inner yard area which is surrounded by wooden rail fencing and they took particular care to ensure no damage was done to the wooden rail, the flower beds or grass. After agreeing on the original estimate and start date, I contacted Kevin later to add a couple of trees which he did without hesitation for a bargain price. I don't know most of their names as there were probably ten or more working under Kevin's direction and all, to the man or woman, friendly, especially Daniel, who loves animals and even "hugged" our 2,000 lb pet Angus steer, Bosco. We've had many contractors out to our new home since we moved here but the folks with Foothill Tree Service most assuredly stood out with their professionalism, enthusiasm and pleasantness.

I met Greg a few weeks ago while his crew was trimming trees for REA. I stopped because the name on the truck was not recognizable to me but not a big company name either. He gave me his card and I contacted him later that day. He was very prompt in responding to to my call. He gave me a fair and very reasonable quote to take down a dead tree. When his crew came out they were very courteous and efficient. They cleaned up better then I ever could. Great service for family owned business. I will definitely call them again for any other service.

Can’t recommend the Walkers enough. They’ve been trimming and cutting down our trees for many many years. They do our business, our home, and some family members homes. They are always fair, professional, productive, and just all around fantastic.

I've hired Foothills Tree Experts a number of times for my tree trimming needs. Each time they have done a great job. This time, today, was no exception. The three man crew was very careful with our landscape lighting fixtures as they trimmed our big locust in the front. Done in about 2 hours

This is the second time I have had Foothills Tree Experts trim my trees. They do an amazing job. After they are done the trees grow into wonderful shapes. I'm always amazed at how pruning helps the trees become even more wonderful. I highly recommend them!

Greg did a great job!
We recently hired Greg Walker with Foothills Tree Experts as our arborist to remove a very large Siberian elm from our backyard. He was highly recommended by a friend. It was a challenging removal due to limited access to the tree requiring a tight entry. It was quite a feat by Greg requiring technical knowledge and engineering skills to bring this big tree down safely without damaging properties and other trees. Greg provided a competitive quote, was very dependable on communication and follow through. He and his crew member did an excellent job dismantling the tree and clean up. We would hire him again. The photo was taken after most of the tree was dismantled.

We’ve used Foothills Tree Experts three times over the years and have always been impressed with their work. Kevin and his team have shown expertise in pruning trees with a keen eye to shaping the tree into a balanced tree that enhances its appearance.
We’ve used them for a variety of services, including taking down a limb broken by wind but suspended by other branches, in such a way as to minimize any damage to other branches; also for tree removal and stump grinding. Great service and clean up afterwards.

I reached out with a unique ask to Ben and he was very helpful! I needed a good amount of logs and branches to fill up the bottom of four new 2’ high raised garden beds I’m adding. He not only helped me out by giving me some, but he also delivered it since his trimming job was nearby to me and helped bring it to my backyard. Service above and beyond! I will be keeping him in mind for any future tree trimming or other tree care needs we have that come up.
