We have been using Davey Tree Expert Co since 2006. We have very mature trees that need a lot of attention (ie Ash 80 +years, Blue Spruce, American Elm, etc).
All consultants have been really knowledgable. As of late, Erik is who we work with for about 2 years now. He is a great arborist! Identifying issues that need to be addressed but not over selling services. He's very professional and responsive!

Davey Tree has always been our go-to tree service company. We recently had to have a huge cottonwood removed and needed to have 8 other mature, storm damaged trees pruned. Mickey gave us an estimate for the cottonwood and a separate estimate for the pruning. For these two big jobs I did reach out for estimates from two additional companies. One company never got back to us. I compared the estimates and Davey was the most reasonable and remained our first choice. They did an amazing job, including cleanup!! And, both jobs were quite the show....climbers, 40 ton crane operator 😱, the crane flyer 🤯, the bucket truck chainsaw magician, and all of the support/clean-up crew! Everyone knew their job and did it well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Thank you all!

I first communicated with Davey Tree through a web search for issues dealing with our trees. We received an email from them in response to my inquiry the same day, and were able to schedule a consult the same week. We have had 2 in-person interactions with Davey Tree personnel so far, in addition to email and phone communication and have been satisfied with all employees that we have had dealings with. There was no charge for the consult, so that was appreciated, and the prices for the services provided seem reasonable. We will continue to contact Davey Tree for our tree needs, and we would recommend them anytime.

Great manager and crew! Really did an amazing job trimming outer 18 year old maple tree! Easy to work with and respectful. Tree trimming job was really detailed!! I left out drinks and treats and there was no trash left behind, gate closed etc!

Really impressed by Mickey at Davey Tree. He told us some tough news - our tree is likely dying a slow death and will not recover. He told us to not waste money on extra treatments like fertilizers, and that we could hold off on doing any pruning or removal for a couple years. I really appreciated his honesty and that he didn’t try to upsell us on anything!! Will definitely be calling Davey Tree back when the time comes to take the tree down.

We've been using Davey for about a year now and are very happy with their service, attention to detail, and pricing. Mickey has been exceptional at patiently and honestly answering our millions of questions, helping us try to get our weather-stressed spruces back in healthy order, and prune a big maple that overhangs our driveway. His team did a fantastic job with the pruning, keeping as many branches as safely possible, while clearing out the old dead twigs that were hanging around. They worked quickly and safely, with solid cleanup afterward. We highly recommend Davey!

Davey Tree Experts, Austin, Tyler and Brandon just finished trimming several of the evergreen trees surrounding our home. The trees were overgrown and encroaching the nearby flagstone walking paths. They did an amazing job and did so with the utmost skill and professionalism despite it being above 100 degrees. Thanks for cleaning up all the trimmings and making everything look great. When our neighbors informed us that two of our aspen trees were, as a result of Fort Collins' strong winds, in danger of falling into our fence and thus their yards, we called The Davey Tree Expert Company to request an estimate for removals of both trees. How surprised we were when Chris Martin, Davey's District Manager, contacted us to set up an appointment the very next day. He not only gave us a reasonable estimate later that same day, but he took the time when asked to walk our property containing 20 plus tree, sharing his thoughts and suggestions, most of them long-term. Upon his departure, we had a much clearer understanding of our tree'd landscape. When we explained that we were leaving on a vacation in two days, he was able to dispatcht an exceptional crew that could complete the removals within our time frame. The crew was most careful, efficient, and effective in safely removing both trees and cleaning up all debris. They even took the time to jump the fence to clean up the neighbors' sides of the fence. Reliable, reasonably priced, and highly skilled, the Davey Tree Expert Company will without doubt be our tree specialists going forward. Kudos to Chris Martin, District Manager, Tami Hughes, Office Manager, and their excellent team of technicians! We could not recommend more highly this responsive tree removal service!

Highly recommend Davey if you need anything relating to tree services. Their team was knowledgeable, responsive, professional, and friendly. Our trees look great and the stump removal went very well; I think they left our yard looking better than when they started.

Contractor was very professional and use great communication. I recommendations were made and agreed upon. Very thorough and was really prompt about addressing concerns.

Davey Tree did a two day job at our house (front yard the first day, backyard the next) and we could not be happier with the results. The guys went above and beyond. They were very courteous and professional. Erik (the rep) listened to our concerns, understood what needed to be done, and conveyed that to the crew. This is our second time using Davey Tree and I highly recommend them. We had a lot of work done and the cost was quite reasonable.

We moved into a new home in Fort Collins last week that has 50 year old trees. Could not see the front of the house from the street and the back yard trees were equally overgrown. Davey Tree's crew - a large crew - showed up on-time and spent 8 hours on the job. The work was meticulous. The trees were expertly pruned. One crew handled the front while the other handled the rear and side. I've never seen guys scramble up a tree using just ropes before. Pretty impressive stuff. The trees now look so much better as does the view of the front of our home. The clean up was also impressive.

UPDATE JUNE 2022
Brought Davey back to prune our 60 year old Ash Tree as well as to re-apply ash tree borer protective chemical solution. It’s healthy and beautiful and we do all we can to preserve it. Also had them prune damaged limbs on our humongous pine that split from snow weight over the winter. The crews are always friendly and top notch professionals.

Erik came to do an assessment. He proved to be very knowledgeable and helpful! We are receiving ash borer treatments in an effort to save our trees. A gentleman named Crue serviced us Aug 1st. and an excellent job he did! This young man was informative, methodical, courteous and very professional in his duties. We will be requesting him in the future.

Another great experience with Davey Tree Company! The crew—Abby, Jake , Matt, Dan, and Greg, the crane driver, did an excellent job. The acrobatics required to take out our honey locust tree, outshined Cirque du Soleil. We gave them a TEN!

All the team members were skilled, polite, friendly, safety conscious, respectful of property, and cleaned up after their work. They communicated well and accommodated my requests.

Everyone was superbly professional. Job was delivered with excellence. Paid on high end & got same. Nice balance.
Have used previously & same. Great team of guys = Austin, Tyler & Tim. Really work well together.

Matt did a great job in helping us get our pruning and trimming needs taken care of. He listened to our thoughts and offered his expertise to meet the goals. He arranged for the work to be done on our schedule. The crew were timely, professional, and courteous. It was rather amazing how well they cleaned up after all the pruning. Matt and the pruning crew did an outstanding job for us.

We have been very happy with the tree treatments we’ve had done. Had huge Ash tree trimming and broken branches removed after heavy spring snowstorm damage. They did an amazing job! I highly recommend them!!
