I called several places to get a landscaper to look at my yard, RJ was the only one that called me back. He showed up when he said he would and we discussed what to do with my dump of a yard. It was uneven, filled with rocks, and the shed was right outside the back door. I wanted some grass, the shed moved and the yard leveled. You can see the results in the pictures below. RJ listened to my needs and created a beautiful yard. Now I enjoy sitting on my patio and looking out at Castle Rock, instead of looking at the shed. His crew worked tirelessly in extreme heat and the job was finished in four days! In addition, the job site was cleaned every night before they left! RJ and his crew let me know what was happening each day. The transformation is amazing, RJ really knows landscaping.

After a major excavation project to build some “flat” space at my house, I quickly realized I needed a grass solution asap. Being right in the middle of June I knew I was late to the game. Many folks didn’t even call me back. Other than some initial issues with not receiving emails for the estimate (a technical problem on their end), RJ was responsive and helpful. He even brought me samples of artificial turf to my work so I could make a quick decision. Install was done with care and I feel confident in the quality of work we ended up with. There were two areas I thought needed attention and RJ came out quickly to resolve those minor issues. I didn’t have enough time to shop pricing so I don’t know how he compares on that front - but it’s worth noting he underestimated the amount of sod needed and didn’t ask me to pay for the extra since we already had a signed agreement. That kind of integrity goes a long way and is exactly why I like to do business locally. Give GW a shot!

I called Peter to talk about some landscaping ideas for our backyard and he spent 30 minutes on the phone with me going over my options to save a lot of money and complete the work myself. I rarely have found people that do this kind of work to take time out of their already hectic day and help someone that isn't paying them. Thrive Landscape and Design was an excellent choice for my troublesome yard issues. Drainage was totally corrected. Sprinklers were adjusted. Landscape lights were repaired. New sod is doing well. Peter and his crew were knowledgeable, communicative , respectful, and great all around.

We highly recommend Thrive. We worked with them over several months in 2016. We knew our budget, but provided Thrive with a blank palate (our entire backyard needed new hardscape and landscape and had drainage and slope issues). We loved what they presented (compared to two other bids) - outofthebox thinking! Like all projects we did come in a bit over budget, but Peter did a good job of communicating any cost overruns so we weren't surprised. Peter or Trevor were always onsite supervising their crew. A year later, we love our project and even received an unexpected note from Peter asking how we are doing and reminding us that our year warranty is still out there for us to consider. In other words - they back up their work!

We were looking to have some regrading done on our back yard and sought out companies to do the excavation and build a retaining wall. Thrive showed up with creative ideas that out shined the rest of the companies we talked to. Thrive built us a natural and beautiful patio, walkways, and retaining wall. If we had more budget to have the company do all of our landscaping as well, we would!! Even though Thrive isn't doing the lawn and plant life (we are going to slowly do it ourselves), Peter has been awesome about giving us advice on trees, shrubs, and other plant ideas. I'm so happy we chose Thrive!

Peter and his team at Thrive Landscapes are incredible. Peter worked with us to design large-boulder landscaping to replace failing retaining structures that better fit our foothills setting. It was amazing to watch his installation team deftly & precisely install these half- to one-ton boulders. In addition, Peter and his team designed and installed a stone staircase, fire resistant deck & stairs to replace our old wood deck, a beautiful firepit concept that integrates with the rest of the landscaping, and a ​sand-finished concrete driveway (poured by his subcontractor). Needless to say, this was a large, multi-month project. Peter maintained great communication and took time to check and exchange ideas with us throughout. His installation team is hard-working, polite, careful, and always willing to discuss options and ideas. Peter and his team at Thrive have been a delight to work with and we strongly recommend them if you're looking for high-quality landscape design and installation.

I have really enjoyed working with Peter and his team at Thrive Landscape. We hired them after being less than excited about our previous landscape company, so it was even more sweet that we ended up liking Thrive so much. They do fantastic work, communicate well and are timely. Emanuel and Hector had to redo some of the work from our previous landscape company and they took their time to make sure the irrigation was perfect by the time they were finished. They also created stone slab foot paths in our yard and completed the border of a flower bed with moss rocks. We couldn't be happier with their work and we would highly recommend them.

After a really awful experience with the company that installed our sprinkler system, one that left us without a sprinkler system all of last summer (1/3 of an acre completely cooked!), we brought in Duke's to help us get things back up and running. Duke's, and really Jesse, did an amazing job diagnosing our issue and within a week had our system up and running (leaks found and fixed, a nozzle moved, the electrical repaired). It's not an easy system as it communicates with a well and Jess figured it out like a total boss. He even dealt with our goofy dog who stole things from his electrical bag and ran around our yard playing keep away; don't be THAT client as it was embarrassing but do know that it was met with good humor. The company went above and beyond to get people here to help me super quickly, at their busiest time of year. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help with their yards and watering systems. I'm so pleased that I'm considering other services of theirs for the future.
