When moving to a new area one of the most difficult things to do is find trustworthy people to help you care for your home. We had a rather large project in mind that Rick helped us prioritize and break out to best fit our budget and timeline. I look forward to working with Rick on completing the rest of the project in the coming months.

Rick was great. He didn't do any work for me but he did suggest I talk to house builder about my rusting window well. I did and they agreed to replace it. So I didn't need to have Rick come out, however, if I ever do in the future, I would definitely consider Rick. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable.

We have nothing but good things to say about Window Wells CO. Very responsive and great communication throughout the project (2 window well replacement, along with grading and covers). During the initial assessment, all options were presented to us along with the pros and cons of each option. Crew was on time, and the job looked extremely clean. A true family owned business - down to earth and very friendly. Would highly recommend!

I am so so grateful to have had the good fortune to come across Rick & Company. As a first time homeowner, I was facing a lot of water damage due to improper grading and old window wells. Rick and Victor came by, assessed the whole property, and began throwing around different solution scenarios with enthusiasm and creativity. They were extremely proactive, looking around for potential problem areas with grading all around the property without me having to ask. Then, they got all the work done in 5 days, even working on Thanksgiving (even though I told them they didn't have to!). Now my house is protected against water damage moving forward, and my yard is much cleaner than it was before. This company has just been an absolute joy to work with and I wish every experience I've had working on my house could be as great as this one. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

Water was leaking into our basement due to issues with our window wells. Colorado Outdoor Life walked through what needed to be done to fix the problems and gave a fair estimate. They dug out the wells, properly fastened the wells to the foundation, sealed them and regraded our slopes. We also purchased window well covers for better protection, which were a nice addition. The work was done quickly, but thoroughly. Since then, there have been no water issues in the basement and we are very happy with the service.

Recommendation for replacement window wells

We just had 2 window wells replaced by Rick Samu at Colorado Outdoor Life this past week.

I needed new window wells on a rental property. I was referred to Rick Samu at Colorado Outdoor Life. Within an hour of our phone call, he was at the property describing what was needed, asking me questions and coming up with a quote. The quote was very reasonable but the service following and quality of work was really outstanding! I was not able to be onsite the entire time, but he called with progress updates daily. I was so impressed, we requested some additional landscaping work. Rick's partner Cindy is equally responsive and on the ball. They are Down to earth people doing great work. I will use them again.

The guys at Colorado Outdoor Life did an amazing job on our replacement window wells and our beautiful new flagstone patio and walk. These guys showed up on time every day, worked hard and left our place clean each afternoon. Their design and their work quality are first rate! Highly recommend!

Colorado Outdoor Life did an excellent job replacing three 31 year old window well inserts at our home in Littleton.
The owner Rick Samu was very involved in helping determine what we needed & offering options. His quote also included correcting the landscape around the wells to avoid water drainage toward the house. The installation team led by Victor was very professional. They were on time & hard working.
Rick’s wife Cindie helped with final installation of the last well insert & clean-up. After completion the areas around the wells looked better than ever. Highly recommend Colorado Outdoor Life!!!

Rick and his team were wonderful to work with. He kept me informed and checked the project site several times before starting. The project was delivered on time, on budget and met expectations. I would recommend, and use again. I have had several difficult experiences working with contractors in the past, but zero issues working with Rick.

Rick and his team are phenomenal. I had an emergency need for window wells over the summer and Rick was at my house on a Friday afternoon within 20 minutes. Victor is excellent in working with pavers and works very hard. He did extensive work on my patio between Christmas and New Years with a snow storm during that week. The finished product was great. They even fixed a tile in my grill space without asking. Just great work. Thank you all!

Rick was great! He came out to see what needed to be done the next day and had the project done in less than a week. It was a bit urgent as our window well was caving in. He and his crew did a great job! They were kind and respectful and fairly priced. He was much more helpful than other companies I called. I will use him again and would reccommend him to others. He replaced a large window well and also fixed up our smaller wells so they would last.

I hired Colorado Outdoor Life to fix a window well and replace another window well. We had a long checklist of deferred maintenance when we bought our home, and we found the right company to tackle the work. The guys showed up when they said they would and did a fabulous job. Total perfectionists.

Before the job started, Rick helped identify the causes of the erosion, including a blocked underground downspouts and eroded dirt. We hired him to bring in some dirt, and check, fix or replace our underground downspouts. The new downspouts do their job to get water out from our home's foundation.
Victor is very talented mason and fixed a terrible looking stone repair that had been done previously. They fixed both our gates as well.
Just a great experience with this company, and a level of knowledge and integrity that you don't always find.
Rick and Cindy also walked our yard and brainstormed about our longterm plans for the yard to replace our failing deck and put in a sidewalk to the backyard. I am beyond excited to have them come back and do that work, hopefully this spring!

Rick and his team were very quick and efficient in scheduling and installing my replacement window well and its cover. To save time, they asked me for a few pictures and measurements of the current dimensions of my window well. They came and installed the replacement the very next day. They were extremely knowledgeable and even advised me about other aspects of my home they observed while working on the side of my home. I never felt pressured and they were very passionate about the quality of their work. My family and I are grateful and ever more proud of our window well. I recently re-hired Rick and his team for a second project; to repair a poorly maintained wooden deck. He and his team were exceptional once again. They quickly assessed and re-stabilized my deck's staircase which had incurred structural damage due to a raised cement pavement at its foundation. The raised pavement caused my staircase to lean which exposed a few critical wooden pieces that led to rot. By replacing the few rotted critical wooden pieces, adding additional support beams, and re-paving my cement foundation, they were able to restore my staircase without having to tear down and completely rebuild it saving me thousands of dollars. I thank Rick and his team, yet again, for another amazing, well done, professional, quality assured, and trustworthy project. My family and I are now safe to use the staircase once again.

Rick was great. I needed a window well replaced and he did it quickly and on schedule. While on the job, I mentioned to Rick that I had a very bad experience with another landscape company and needed to have the work redone. Even though what I needed was not something Rick's company did, he got on the phone and found a contractor that came out the next day and fixed the problem! Totally recommend Colorado Outdoor Life. Rick and Colorado Outdoor Life were great! When a rusted window well suddenly needed to be replaced Rick was able to come out for an estimate the next day and complete the full window well replacement only 2 days later. We also had them regrade some of the landscaping to minimize water accumulating on the new window well and the cost for the regrading plus the window well was equivalent to what some other companies charged for just the window well! The team really went above and beyond in terms of service, making extra corrections to the landscaping to improve drainage, explaining every detail of the process when asked, and completing the project in a single day. I can’t recommend them enough.

Rick and his team were incredible. They replaced two window wells for us. One was located under our deck and they put in some tough hours getting that replaced and putting everything back together to look like they were never there!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Rick and Cindy were amazing. Rick came over the same day to trouble shoot the issue with my yard and window wells. Rick determined the window wells needed to be replaced and that my side yard (where the window wells are) needed to be improved. This was quite a project. A few days later, the two man crew arrived and started working. They were respectable and worked from sunup to sundown. The service was wonderful. Rick provided regular updates via text and phone (both I found helpful). I highly recommend Rick and his team to provide you service. They are experienced, knowledgeable, reliable and fairly priced. These are all characteristics that are hard to come by these days!

After discovering significant water intrusion in our basement following a heavy rainstorm, my husband and I reached out to Window Wells CO around 7:00 PM, unsure of what to do next. To our relief, Rick personally answered the call and immediately walked us through the situation. He gave us clear, step-by-step guidance on what supplies to pick up from Home Depot that night, and even stayed on the phone with us afterward to help us set up the pump correctly — including troubleshooting the window well issue with us via FaceTime that same evening.

The following morning, Victor arrived promptly, confirmed the root cause, and even provided a better-quality pump to keep us protected while the final solution was being prepared. Just a few days later, Victor returned and completed the full repair: deepening the window well, cutting and replacing concrete, and installing a proper drain.

Throughout the entire process, both Rick and Victor were incredibly responsive, professional, and compassionate. In the middle of a very stressful situation, they brought not only technical expertise but genuine care and support.
