Reviews of local pros in Kittredge, Colorado

We had a HUGE project in Idledale. 10 + trees (Elms) removed that were at least 70 ft tall. Tom and his crew showed up on time, did AMAZING work and got the job done! We could not have asked for a better team to handle this quite overwhelming project. Thank you Tom!!!

Excellent work taking down some trees in our yard. They are professional and safe. You can tell they know what they are doing and have a lot of experience. Awesome local Evergreen company.

Easy to coordinate via text. Dropped full cord off at home with no problems!

I would never use another company - Mike and Tom are the best out there. They are professional, reliable, fair, and have the best sense of humor. A true pleasure to work with! We have used them twice and will continue to! HIGHLY recommend them!!

We used Mountain Family Tree Service for tree trimming and mitigation. Professional, affordably priced, respectful to property, and did an excellent job. We would highly recommend their services. Assist-2-Sell Real Estate Services

Tom (Sasquatch) and Mike just finished two days of hard work cutting some big trees and pruning others so we can get our Jeffco fire mitigation certificate for our home renovation. They are very nice, thorough and safe.

I want to offer a special shout out to Tom and Mike of Mountain Family Tree Service. These co-owners found out online about the Woodpile Workday and pitched right in volunteering their time, muscles and equipment. What delightful gentlemen and what a difference they made. If you or anyone you know needs some excellent quality tree work, firewood, fire mitigation or winter snow plowing services, please consider offering these fine men the opportunity just as they offered their morning to help people in our community stay warm this winter. Thank you. United Methodist Church, Bailey

Tom Purves and his crew did an excellent job removing trees and trimming the rest for fire mitigation. They were on time and cleaned up all the tree debris, including branches and sticks they didn't drop. You can't tell they were in my yard for two days. Tom is very personable. He did exactly what we agreed to in his estimate, and I paid exactly what his estimate totaled, which was the best price of three estimates I received. Highly recommend.

Mountain Family Tree came out to our house for a cat rescue 50ft up a tree. Tom came out within a couple of hours of my call and got her down so quickly! We are so grateful to these guys for saving our cat and their awesome attitudes.

Tom and his team did an excellent job clearing a tree that dropped onto our house from the strong winds we’ve had. They were able to come out promptly and dropped the tree away from the house where it wouldn’t cause any further damage.

We had three of our trees in Kittredge quickly turn brown and Tom confirmed our worry of mountain pine beetle, an alarming occurrence! The Mountain Family Tree team took the trees down using various skilled tactics due to the varying difficulty each tree posed. Rather than have them haul the trees away, which is an option, they stacked the logs nicely and covered them at my request, sealing in the beetles until they perish throughout the winter. I’m a carpenter and need the wood for project material, and I love those trees and wish to pay them homage.
Also, Tom provides preventative services for the other trees, not spraying chemicals but trunk injections or pheromone deterrents which is what we chose.
Ultimately, they showed up when they said, did the work, cleaned up exceptionally well virtually no trace, were conscientious, informative, and friendly.
I highly recommend Mountain Family Tree Service, 100%!

During this last wind storm we had, our power line in the back of our property was taken out by trees. In order for Core to reconnect our power we first had to have the mast and the electrical on our roof repaired. We called The Speedy Electricians of Evergreen first and they quoted us a ridiculous amount to fix it, $3800 to be exact. We did some research and found that was completely unreasonable to charge for the work we needed done. I called McCoy Electric and Jacob listened to our situation, came up to assess the damage and ended up fixing it for us same day. Jacob did an amazing job, he was quick, he helped us understand all the work he had to do, he put us at ease after almost being ripped off and he charged us a fraction of what we were originally quoted! Do not hesitate to hire McCoy Electric, because Jacob is an honest man, running an honest business. They are not the average electrical company charging people who live in the mountains a ridiculous amount higher just because of the demographics. I highly recommend McCoy Electric and we will be customers for life. Thank you, Jacob, we are thoroughly impressed by you and your ethical way of running a service company.

Jake was fantastic. He brought our hot tub back to life! The breaker kept tripping and it turned out the wiring needed to be replaced with new copper. He came out quickly to assess the issue, gave us a straightforward estimate, and had everything fixed the very next day. Fast, professional, and exactly what we needed. We're so happy to have the hot tub up and running again — highly recommend!

Friendly & knowledgeable!

Jake installed a pendant light fixture in our kitchen and did an outstanding job!
