Horrible responsiveness. Won't give you prices, and if you don't like it and ask for an estimation Lou will scream at you and get irrationally angry and just hang up. Don't give these guys a chance for your business.

Took weeks to get an estimate. Finally got an estimate and when I went to move forward on over $2,000 worth of tree removal, I have been unable to get them to return a call for weeks now. Messages and countless calls with no response

Called due to reckless endangerment, and Lou started cursing and blaming other people for his poor decisions. If you see these trucks steer clear because Lou is likely to get upset for you passing, and try to kill you.

Delivered wood when we weren’t home. Admittedly we totally forgot to pay as we were traveling. However, instead of calling and reminding us they showed up at our house and treated my wife like garbage over a $150 wood delivery. Will find someone else from now on!

Lou is sadly the face of this company otherwise it would be a great business. Gets super upset with any little thing. You say anything he doesn't like he will yell at you and give you excuses. His behavior is what will never bring me back to this business.

These guys are great. Their staff really know their stuff. My trees look awesome and healthy. They even took extra time to clean up after them self's. I will be a life long customer here. Well as long as my tress keep growing LOL

Tim and crew just finished up. Started about 8:30 and done before noon. Cut down 2 large silver maples, ground the stumps, and cleaned up. Well done, and for a reasonable price. I highly recommend this company. Thank you.

These guys are amazing. Lou, Tim and their crew did an amazing job in taking down one very large tree, a second tree and grinding out stumps. I cannot say enough about how professional they were and the quality of their work. I would highly recommend Columbine Tree Service to anyone.

Tim and his crew were absolutely amazing! I had a huge silver maple that I had been trying to nurse back to health, but unfortunately it wasn’t going to make it through Fall - they were very empathetic with my attachment to the tree, even recommended to me what type of tree to replace it with. We couldn't be more happy. The crew showed up this morning and went straight to work. They have been working for 3 hours and just finished. You wouldn't even know they were here for how well they cleaned up after themselves. Our invoice was for exactly the original bid. I even watched one of the crew help a couple of kids safely navigate past the trucks on their way to school. Thanks Columbine Tree for a job well done!

Columbine, "Lou" is very unprofessional. He quoted me a price and I didn't shop him as he came recommended from a friend of mine and I just trusted his pricing was competitive with his industry. A couple of months had passed and when we were finally ready to bring in the trees. I called Lou and we scheduled for the following week. A couple of days later I realized I failed to confirm the pricing, as everything was verbal up to this point but a couple of months had passed. I merely called Lou to clarify the price and I could tell he was VERY irritated by my asking but he did confirm the price. By this time I was concerned that he was irritated and I questioned his integrity, based upon how he was acting and responding to a reasonable business question. Instead of trying to save the deal he then responded by increasing the price by $200 per tree! End of conversation and I was on my way to find another tree spade company. I called 4 other companies and did my homework. What I found is that Columbine charges twice as much for their services than their competitors! In hind sight I'm glad things worked out the way they did, I got the trees I wanted for half the price. :-)

From the time of initial quote to finished job was 3 days. Tim Fohn was very responsive offering a very competitive quote and providing certificates of insurance. Our job was rather small - removal of 3 aspen trees but Tim worked us into a very busy schedule.

Crew arrival was timely, job was completed as quoted and clean up was great.
