Home Services reviews in Loveland, Colorado

True Green applied an application to my neighbors home. They left a pile of something (fertilizer or pesticides) and a empty bag in front of my home. After being on hold for 20 minutes, they indicated someone would be right out. 3 hours later, nothing... except for the potential of rain...

Mark Mansavage did a great job fertilizing our shrubs and trees. He is a man who clearly loves his work and who I can trust.

Steve did awesome with our first service. Explained what he would be doing this season to make my yard look great

Have used them for years and it has been great. Something changed this year. A couple days after our treatment we had large brown areas appearing in back yard. I called Trugreen and they came out and said he didn't think the areas were from their spraying. He treated with Revive and some bug spray. A month later those areas are totally dead. Trugreen came out for normal service and my camera didn't pick them up in back yard. There was no hanger left saying what was treated and when I looked at my service online it says my yard looks great! Am canceling service this morning. Very disappointing.

Rep is so very friendly and gives me lot of advice of the care of my trees. Kudos to him!

We have been lawn fertilization/weed control and tree & shrub care customers of TruGreen since 2016. Their service is excellent and when we have had problems with our lawn or trees and shrubs they always responded with timely courtesy and solutions. If we need extra care, it’s built into the pricing. I have compared the cost to other companies and for us, TruGreen is the best value. I would recommend them to friends and family.

They showed up unannounced without contact and sprayed my yard without authorization. Poked a hole in my stucco and poisoned my dog. Previous home owner used them, but they over fertilized resulting in large brown spots plus I have dogs so I am not using them.

The marketing promise and actual service from this company are drastically different. When we prepaid for seven treatments in 2020, we discussed the emergence of necrotic ring spot at the end of last season. In addition to adding a ReVive treatment, a decision was made by our tech to apply low dose nitrogen next season to combat the problem. Not being a fertilization specialists, I assumed when they began treatments in March 2020, that they were doing what they said they were going to do. Not seeing an improvement in the yard, we began to review their treatments to discover they range anywhere from 25-0-5 to 17-0-5 to 12.0.0. Definitely, NOT low dose nitrogen. Upon further investigation, we found these to be the exact treatments they provided for us last year. So even though they told us they were going to be be treating our yard differently because of our issue, they did not. They tout Ph.D. certified specialists who develop a specialized plan for your lawn, but then provide you with a generic service. It's all just smoke and mirrors and a pretty website. There is no integrity to back up what they sell. In addition, I contacted them on July 17, 2020 requesting a follow up service to treat weeds in my yard. The rep told me a request would be put in. On August 7, 2020 I called again stating no one had come to treat my weeds. I was assured that someone would be out on August 11, 2020. On August 11th, I received an automated message from TruGreen telling me they were coming to do a prepaid regularly scheduled treatment the next day. When my service tech arrived i asked him if he was doing a reservice for my weeds (free) or a regular treatment (paid). He told me a reservice. Since I am a prepaid customer I am expecting a refund for the cancelled service. They promote a Premiere Green Program stating they will come out as many times as necessary between scheduled visits to make adjustments to your program, but they made me wait three weeks and make two calls before receiving the reservice. Because of the recent reservice issue and the discovery of the deceptive nitrogen applications, today I have requested to cancel the remaining three treatments and seek reimbursement for said cancelled treatments.

Tru Green was very compatible with a couple areas in the grass we needed to explain and did a great professional precise job of aerating our lawn!! They were very careful around marked areas and sprinklers, Thank you Tru-Green

the service was good. my only concern was the representative that I talked to on the phone. She said they would weed first then aerate and seed but no weeding was done. Jessy said the aerated would help with the weeding. Also she said he would call when he was on his way I had to get on your app to see he was on his way. Jessy was very professional and did the aeration and seeded. Happy with that service

Paying TruGreen nearly $1,200, we expected professional lawn care - not a graveyard of dead grass patches. The pictures show the reality - large barren areas and thinning in places that should be thick, green, and thriving. When we complained about the neglected state of our yard, they shamelessly tried to blame fictitious grub problems to upsell even more unnecessary treatments.
Constantly upselling seems to be their top priority rather than actually doing the lawn service basics right. Every single visit brought high-pressure tactics to tack on expensive extras we didn't need. Meanwhile, our lawn continued its painful descent into a dried-out wasteland.
Their core job is simple - nourish lush, healthy grass. Yet TruGreen failed miserably, letting our yard degrade into an embarrassing state. The dead zones and patchy thinning prove their services completely missed the mark through sheer incompetence or lack of caring. While the customer service rep was unpleasant at cancellation, the biggest letdown is TruGreen's inability to deliver on their most fundamental promises - maintaining a vibrant lawn.
Unless you enjoy wasting money on upsell schemes while watching your yard turn into a dead zone, avoid this company at all costs. We've learned the hard way - TruGreen's lawn care is all talk, no results. -
I would not recommend TruGreen. They sprayed our decades-old apple tree for mosquitos without our consent. The tree dropped all its apples immediately and produced none the following year. I have called five times to request that they cover an arborist evaluation. Each time I was told the issue was “escalated” and a general manager would contact me. No one has followed up. This has been a frustrating experience with poor communication, terrible customer service, and zero accountability. I’m asking again for TruGreen to take responsibility, arrange an arborist assessment, and contact me directly to resolve this.

Richard was very thorough. He took care to assure all trees and shrubs were fertilized and explained what he was doing. He made sure he got all the shrubs and took the time to answer my questions. He also made sure all the gates were closed when he left. He was very friendly and I wish he could conduct all Trugreen services for my property.

Wouldn't recommend if you're having difficulty filling bare spots in your yard or have grass thinning. I initially reached out because I was looking for a professional service to assist an effort that I had tried to do on my own for years. I was told by their Sales Rep Rob that this was something TruGreen could assist with - after months of field techs who ranged from uninterested, inexperienced, and misinformed (this includes lack of knowledge of service and products) I reached out to the manager Cliff. Cliff claimed to be able to address the issues we were having that required specific seed for shade/full exposure. Unfortunately due to poor internal communication at TruGeen this information was not relayed to any of the field techs and this solution was never brought to fruition. Customer service was compassionate but also never delivered on their solutions/attempts to "make it right". Overall I paid too much to have someone sprinkle fertilizer on my yard for a few months and would rather invest in another company/landscaper who has the experience, knowledge, and conviction to follow through. I did not see the value in the service and would not recommend.

We hired TruGreen for mosquito control. They came the first time about a month ago then did a free service as mosquitos were coming back after the application. The "free" service happened 2 days ago and since then I have several plants dying! This service, I don't know what they sprayed on my plants but it was thick, sticky and shiny. This was nothing like the first service. I have cancelled my service with them and will hold them accountable for any of my plants that die! I am so angry as we work hard for the beautiful yard that we have and in one swoop .... I suggest using a different service or do it yourself! Do not trust Trugreen!

Filled out the form online to get a quote, and said they would call me the next day. called at appointment time, but when the Representative answered they did not know why they were calling me, even though I filled out the form online telling them what I was looking for. told her I wanted an estimate for someone to come out and spray fertilizer and weed control. They gave me a price and we said ok, we would think about it. The next morning someone local called to inquire if we were still interested and try to give us a quote that would work with our budget, I told them we were going a different direction, we would be going with someone local, privately owned, not a corporation or franchise owned company Now they will not stop calling me, I have calls coming from Grand Junction, Fort Collins, Denver, and Loveland I just keep blocking their numbers, must be desperate.

Michael came out today to fertilizer and was very professional and efficient! Explained what he was doing and let me know that my animals were safe to go on the grass after he was done! It’s amazing how well my yard already looks from the first application. I’m anxious to see how it looks with the second one! Very happy with my decision to hire Trugreen

Steve from true green services my lawn today, and has done so in the past. He is very knowledgeable and happy to talk regarding the lawn and giving suggestions on what to do to keep it looking good. With their service my lawn is the envy of the neighborhood! I've used true green for over 30 years and will continue to do so!

TruGreen? More like TruBrown. Killed our beautiful lawns. We have been TruGreen customers for far too long. There are a few large issues I could disclose, but the one that’s worth sharing is the worst. The last service we had on our beautiful, green, healthy front and backyards killed the grass immediately. What was supposed to be fertilizer with slow release ended up being either the wrong solution, the right solution improperly mixed/applied, or just negligence. I contacted the office and even though they seemed concerned and assured me someone would contact me that day to get out here asap they failed to follow up and confirm. Meanwhile my lawn is dead/dying. What is also upsetting, is from the clear dead pattern on the lawns you can see just how lazily and hastily the solutions were applied. It makes you think how many other times the TruGreen service person did a poor job and we were overcharged for bad service. TruGreen devalued my property by destroying one of its best features. I wouldn’t recommend TruGreen. And I’ll be updating the situation as it unfolds.

We decided to use TruGreen last summer because we could not get our grass to grow for years!! We tried doing it on our own, but with 2 dogs and honestly not knowing what we were doing, nothing really worked. Our yard was very patchy, we had brown spots, completely bare spots, and lots of different weeds throughout the lawn. TruGreen did such a great job! They got rid of the weeds, reseeded our lawn, fertilized, and helped us with any questions we had! The pictures I’ve attached were from our backyard in early May of 2025 and then end of September 2025! We’re excited to see what it looks like this summer!

Our happy place!
My boyfriend and I love coming into LGC. Family owned, they take so much care with their plants. Why not get your baby herbs, veggies and flowers at a Big Box ( Home Depot, Lowes, Ace) store, you ask? Well, most of their starters are grown out of state. LGC has their own greenhouses and gives their plants so much care, which in doing so has already acclimated them to Colorado...you'll notice by how well they do when you get them home. Plus, if ever you have a problem or issue, call or take your plant in and they will diagnose the issue, usually a slight tweak.
The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and seemingly qualified to give you advice on the whats, whens and hows of planting.
They also offer tons of fun "accouterments" to your garden- pots, decor, soils, herbicides, etc. It's a beautiful center, obviously run with love. You won't be disappointed. 🌹🌸❤
