Professional, good attitude, and hardworking.

We recently moved into a new build in Monument and hired Greater Grounds to do our landscaping. We found Jared to be honest and forthright with us. We appreciated his professionalism and patience and thought the work the company did was fantastic. We did xeriscaping in the front yard and a mixture of the two in the back. The quality of work in the retaining walls will definitely endure time and we couldn’t be happier!

Not pleased.

They did our backyard transition from grass to rocks and walkway with peripheral landscaping. Their bid price was higher than other bids, but the reviews were good and their show room in Palmer Lake was impressive. So we went with them. The installation crew was diligent enough but disorderly. One day before the foreman arrived, they were out back throwing snowballs at each other.
The primary problem I had with Greater Grounds Landscaping is product, price, and accountability. The photos I included show a showroom sample of what I ordered, followed by a picture of what was installed. The finished product was more like powdered rocks rather than actual rocks (fine). You can even see the tread marks in the final product, which rocks and pebbles should never show. When I tried to work this out with Greater Grounds Landscaping, I was essentially stonewalled. The reception was chilly, and no efforts on their part was made towards restitution. The owner, Jared, insisted that the installed product was correct despite disparity from the show room sample.
I guess if things go well, customers write good reviews. However, my experience did not go well, and I cannot recommend them.

Beautiful yard!!! Thank you Jared and team!! Everything from design to execution was perfect. It was so easy to get this done, Jared knew the HOA rules and created a gorgeous plan. The crews that came out each day were clean and professional. We are so happy with the beautiful plants and trees. We also appreciated the one stop shop of having irrigation, concrete, etc all done by one place. Perfect for this too busy family - Jared did all the work and we get to enjoy!!

Jared was amazing to work with! Our lot had a lot of slope to it, and in the end we trusted Greater Grounds retaining wall design the most. His hardscapers are dedicated and meticulous. They went the extra mile for this job! We are extremely happy with the work they did.

Greater Grounds Landscaping did a fantastic job. Jared was very familiar with our HOA expectations, he listened to what we were looking for and created a beautiful plan for our yard. Our yard was especially challenging, since we live on a hill sloping down from our backyard. He created a couple of retaining walls and made the yard beautiful and useable. His team also pays close attention to detail and the effort on each part of the job was evident every day. They also communicated well with progress along the way. I highly recommend Greater Grounds.

After meeting and talking with four different landscapers, we decided to work with Jared and Greater Grounds for the landscaping of our new house. We requested a number of quotes from different companies and Jared was by far the easiest to work with, had the best prices, was all inclusive of the features that he provided, and was very responsive and helpful during this phase. As we moved forward in the process, Jared continued to be very responsive to any questions we had. He was willing to meet us at our home and our new house site. He offered several design options that we had not considered, but have really loved, including a bubbling rock, outdoor lights, and a two-tiered planting bed.
During the shrub/tree/annual selection, Jared offered helpful suggestions, but was very open to us looking at other options and making adjustments before the plans were finalized. During the installation of our landscaping, his crews were diligent and respectful of our time and wishes and very personable. Even as the occasional issue popped up, everyone was willing to work with us to get things resolved. Jared also has great relationships with other professionals in the business, including our home builder and HOA, which really helped streamline the process. We were so impressed with the overall experience that we plan to use Jared and Greater Grounds’ maintenance service moving forward, and will recommend him to anyone that asks.

We had a fantastic experience with Greater Grounds and Jared. We recently bought a new build home. Jared was very familiar with our HOA requirements and handled the approval process for us. The Greater Grounds “showroom” was a plus for us as we didn’t have to drive around town selecting materials. Jared had great ideas and worked through multiple design iterations with us before we officially signed with them. The crews were professional, polite, and easy to work with.
