Snyder Construction did an amazing job finishing our basement, and I can't recommend them highly enough.
Our vision was straightforward: transform a completely unfinished basement into a beautiful, studio-style living space with barstool seating, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette. Simple in concept — but far from simple in execution.
Our home is a 1987 stick-built, and the basement came with its share of surprises. Outdated systems, code violations, and Douglas County's notoriously thorough inspection process meant this project demanded more than just cosmetic work. Sean and his team handled every challenge without missing a beat, including a full electrical service replacement (the original panel was a mess — no markings, deteriorating wires, and outdated breakers throughout), a new air conditioning condenser with relocated lines to allow for clean soffits, replacement of water lines from the main shutoff through the entire basement, new drainage for the toilet, shower, and sinks, and full electrical throughout the space.
They also managed all of our permitting needs, navigating Douglas County's rigorous requirements so we didn't have to.
The pace was impressive. Within the first week, the entire basement was framed and electrical rough-in had begun. By week two, electrical trim-out was complete and drywall was going up. Just a few weeks from the initial frame-out, the project was done.
The finished product is gorgeous. A spacious bathroom with a full stand-in shower, double-sink vanity, and full-size toilet. A beautiful center island with white quartz countertops throughout the kitchenette. We essentially have a second home downstairs — a space where family can come stay, relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, cook breakfast, and feel completely at home.
