Concrete Contractor reviews across the US

Just prior to our daughter being born, our 14 year old sloped driveway collapsed rendering it unsafe and unusable (NOT GREAT TIMING!). I made a few inquiries on-line and by phone. (Only about half the contractors contacted me back.) Bob Hall from Aksarben Concrete called me by the next business day, came out, and gave me a competitive bid to replace our driveway. He arranged for our driveway to be completed within a week which is very fast from my experience. We now have a fiber-reinforced driveway. Bob came over several times to see that the job was completed as quoted and to our satisfaction. Great customer service; Aksarben Concrete has been great to work with!

Breaking up the garage, driveway, front stoop and side pad is not an easy job and no reasonable person should expect perfection. AC delivered in 3 areas:
1: Best in market sales response. Not just initially, but all follow-ups were prompt (as in within the hour!) including after-project check-ins.
2: They used a sub with over 30 years experience. This guy was amazing. I probably have not worked as hard as his crew in my entire life. They basically did it all in one very long day.
3: Demolition of the garage floor caused some minor cosmetic damage to the ceiling drywall. They gave me a very generous discount to repair it or leave it as is (it's a garage after all).
It's rare to find someone who really wants your business and knows how to build loyalty before and after the project. It's nearly impossible in this business to find a business run like Kirk. And the entire project looks great.

Aksarben did a great job on my driveway. They ripped up the old driveway and poured a new one with stamps including some challenging slope and step situations. They handled my questions and requests and were clear and communicative when things had to change. Would highly recommend!

Matt & his crew did an excellent job. They replaced the entire public sidewalk, the driveway, the garage, the walk leading up to the house & our patio with new cement.
He offered ideas of the best way to do the job to get maximum results.
The job was done in the amount of time promised & was reasonably priced.
They were all very courteous, polite, hard working & highly detailed.
I highly recommend them!

Looked great and about 5 months later started having cracks. Reached out Kirk said he’d never skimp on a warranty. But also said if they replaced their work they’d be broke. My wife reached out via email and no response. They came out and “fixed” the cracks by widening them and using brown caulking that is already coming undone not even a year later. Now some
Driveway is sinking. They also have sent unprofessional text messages calling my wife a POS for messaging late when our son is teething and I work different hours. Last resort is to take legal action. As a couple with a new baby and spending this much , with a company who seems reputable we are highly disappointed.

Hi I usually wait around 2 weeks or so before I leave review, but I am Happy to leave a positive experience with Aksarben, They were Fast at responding and gave Fair Quote, Fast at getting mine Driveway done in time for mine other project. Also there very fair in not asking for a high deposit like most. It Was great working with Anthony and Ray. Will definitely use them again in the near future if I have anymore outdoor project or improvement. Here is some picture of before and after driveway, Aksarben did great job for me.

My new concrete driveway installed by Aksarben Concrete looks amazing. Working with Kirk was smooth and educational. He explained the process so I would understand how a high quality driveway is poured and how to maintain the concrete for years to come. Communication was excellent through the whole process. With unpredictable weather in spring time Nebraska, Kirk made sure they were pouring the driveway in optimal conditions. I will definitely call Aksarben Concrete for any future concrete needs.

Aksarben Concrete did an outstanding job of helping us design and construct a new patio at our house in Omaha. Matt was great to work with and was very patient with us as we evaluated different customized options. We are very happy with the results and highly recommend the company!

This is the kind of work that Aksarben concrete does.
In 2022 we hired them to replace our driveway. You can see that our driveway is 2-tone as they apparently had to use two loads of concrete. And it sure is obvious.

But worst of all, we have excessive spalling in a large area near the garage. It is crumbling apart daily. I think they must have had too much water in the concrete.

This work was done in 2022. We called them out to look at this issue in 2024, and we were just told that we must have damaged it ourselves using salt in the winter. The representative who came out to look at it said the president of the company (Kirk Kliver) would contact us... and then took off. We never heard from anyone at Aksarben Concrete after that.

We did not use salt in the winters following the work, save anything the cars would have tracked over it after driving over treated streets. This is not normal. And even if we didn't have the spalling problem... this just looks terrible. I'm embarrassed by it.

We had AkSarBen Concrete replace our driveway, patio and front steps and they did a wonderful job! On time (one day), on budget and the finished job looks fabulous. I definitely recommend them. Call Stacey- he was great to work with. Before and after photos below.

Aksarben Concrete did an amazing job with our raised patio. We came to Matt with a rendering of what we were hoping for and his team brought it life—nearly identical to the rendering!

Matt was very easy to work with and an excellent communicator. And the whole team was respectful and attention-detailed. They did great work and also made sure to clean up everything thoroughly when the job was done.

They removed and replaced a patio and the approach on my driveway. Pricing was fair and reasonable. Matt is great to work with, he communicated well and always did what he said he was going to do. The quality was exceptional. I was very pleased with the end result!

Great team to work with. My new driveway and patio elevated the look of our home.

Work is good however u have to micromanage the workers, ask them to fill in the cracks with sand that the workers missed and they never came back. Show pictures and even stated to the worker they missed some spaces and they just left.

This company does not return phone calls. I called them twice and left messages no one calls back. Could you imagine if you contracted with this company and had a question or problem. I would not do business with a company that doesn't call back.

It was a fantastic experience from beginning to ending, Maria took care of scheduling the appointment with the salesman and from there on it was an easy ride, Gus understood my design for our backyard and delivered beyond my expectations, they took care of all the permits and the customer service was fantastic, the job was done beautifully and we couldn't be more satisfied!

This company is not great. I would not hire Deco again to do a paver install. The manager / owner / marketing perosn said it will look "Perfect." which it doesn't. First of all the labor crew arrived late just about about every day, often after 10am. How can you plan anything when crews show up late? Often they would arrive, and then leave early. My wife had several disagreements about their quality, and the ground crew argued with her constantly. My wife is easy going...The paver spaces have 1/4 inch gaps in about a dozen or more spots, which leaves something to be desired in terns of appearance and whether it will hold up, or whether sand will leak out over time. We were concerned since the paver style we chose already has a beveled edge to it. He said it will look "perfect" once done which it isn't. We pointed out areas that were not level in which water was pooling in the sides of the deck. They would not fix it. The owner hounded us to pay in full even before they were done, which is illegal. The owner complained that he would have to come back to pick up his payment and he had "a dozen" jobs that needed tending to. Why does that matter to me? Deco tore up the yard with their Bobcat leaving trenches where the wheels were, after promising to level everything out. They also left their concrete spread across the lawn around the house, they would not clean it up, saying the grass will grow fine right through it. Is that true, I don't know...They left materials all over the street as well. They left blocks, rebar etc around our home, the contract said they would clean up but they didn't. Pretty poor customer service and craftmanship. I would caution against using them if you have choices. There are LOTS of companies that would love to have this business but I sure wouldn't go with this one.
