I would recommend Vito and G-Cat to anyone and everyone. My husband and I had our deck/paver patio removed by them last summer and had a concrete patio put in instead with a French drain. I had a few companies come over and give me estimates but no one was “able” to give me the layout I wanted (one large level patio). Everyone else had told me I needed a retaining wall or have it multi tiered because our backyard slopes towards the house. Vito was the only one who took that slope into consideration and the preservation of our house and yard to prevent flooding and preserve the concrete, which is why we added the retaining wall. Now we are one year post construction and we have gotten so many compliments on our patio from friends, family, neighbors and even other contractors (roofers, electricians) on what a beautiful concrete patio we have. I could not be happier.

TL;DR just trust me when I say Vito and G-Cat has your back and you won’t have any regrets!

From the very start of contacting G-Cat to the final inspection by the village, our experience with the company was nothing short of excellent. Vito was on time and professional when coming to our home to give us an estimate for our concrete patio. He maintained communication throughout the project and answered our every question and concern. The entire construction team was phenomenal. Our patio and drainage system were installed with precision and expertise. The village inspector commented on the final products, saying that G-Cat is an excellent company with which to deal. We could not agree more, nor could we be happier with everything than we are. We highly recommend G-Cat Construction Company.

Hired GCAT construction to install both a stamped concrete service walk and front stoop. Our initial interactions were great. Communication was good and the project started on time. Unfortunately, the end result was not ideal. The pictures tell the story & anyone that has seen the stoop immediately points to the massive crack that surfaced just days after the install and has continued to crack and expand over the course of the last 18 months. Yes, concrete expands and contracts but this is more than the usual crack. To make matters even more frustrating, GCAT misrepresented the work they did by indicating that rebar was utilized during the install, when in fact, pictures demonstrated that rebar was never used. Unfortunately, GCAT has been unwilling to acknowledge that rebar was not used nor have they been willing to work with us to remedy the issue. They are however, quick to point out that they re-did the stoop a second time. Yes, they did it 2 times within a two week period however, a massive crack appeared within hours of the pour. In fact, the crack surfaced in the same exact spot both times. Is that really the nature of concrete or is it the way the work was completed…

G-Cat gave me a brand new driveway, front walk, and front stoop. They do absolutely incredible work. Jillian & Vito, the owners, were the ones who picked out the best color and stamp to go along with my general ideas and I couldn't be happier with their design vision. The crews who came out to demo my old driveway, frame out and pour the concrete all do very clean and meticulous work. They take so much time to ensure every control joint is precise and they obviously take great pride in making an outstanding final product. I cannot say enough good things about this company and the professionalism from the owners to the hard working men (who really could be considered artists) pouring and setting the concrete. They use a very high quality concrete and I even confirmed the skill of the G-Cat workers from a couple of Ozinga drivers (the concrete suppliers who have seen their share of bad and good contractors). I was so impressed by this company and you will be as well.

In the spring of 2021, we had G-Cat come out to give us some ideas and suggestions on a new patio to replace the paver bricks we had. The bricks separated, sunk, became infested with ants, weeds growing between the bricks and such and it just became a headache and extra yearly expense we did not need. I laid out the plans for how large we wanted it to be and their suggestions were used. The toughest part for us was determining the stamped brick pattern to choose from (so many were available). They came out on the scheduled date and within a week we had a new patio. See the pictures attached. We highly recommend them. They watched the details, kept the area clean and kept the noise to a minimum. They did such a good job, we had them back in spring of 2022 to give us a new 3-car garage driveway. (see pictures) At the same time, we also had them install a new walkway from the driveway to the front door stoop. I’m very impressed with their work.

G-Cat Construction Co. was recommended to me by a friend. I got 5 quotes for the construction of a new concrete driveway, front porch, and 2 sidewalks. G-Cat was the only company whose estimate itemized each part of the job, with pricing and detailed specifications. Although G-Cat was not the lowest bidder (neither was it the highest), I’m glad I contracted with them. The owner, Vito, applied for the village permit as required and completed the work according to Village codes. It took 5 days to complete the job because of rainy weather, but Vito assured me that it would be done before I went on vacation.

I was amazed at how hard the initial crew of 8 men, including Vito, worked to remove all the existing concrete and landscaping in front of my house in just one day. They had all the equipment needed to do the job, including a Bobcat with multiple attachments for drilling and excavating, a Kato Imer mini excavator, trucks for concrete and yard waste removal, an air compressor jackhammer, and an old-fashioned sledgehammer. Ozinga provided a high-quality concrete mixture that contained fiber mesh.

The crew worked together well and always cleaned up after each phase of the project. I can finally drive my car into the garage without a jolt now that the driveway pitch meets the level of the garage floor. I am getting compliments from friends and neighbors on how beautiful the driveway looks. People are hesitant to park on it because they want to keep it in its pristine condition!

The porch is well-constructed with minimal damage to the house brick to which it is attached. The crew used concrete blocks to support the porch and inserted cardboard concrete forms (Sonotubes) to make the concrete footings. They put a waterproof barrier on the porch wall before pouring the concrete. No cracking has occurred on the new porch and steps. The sidewalk approaching the porch is wider and more impressive now. Both new sidewalks are crack-free and level so that no rainwater drains toward the house.

I am very pleased with the work done by G-Cat Construction and highly recommend this company.

I'll make this easy for you- you can stop shopping around. I did that for you. I got 6 quotes and not only was G-Cat the most competitive, they truly did a first class job from start to finish. Vito explained every step in the process and made it a great experience. We love our patio and the compliments we get on it are endless. The next concrete project I have, I'm calling Vito.

Vito was very professional, detail oriented and one of the only companies that broke down the estimate by line item including pricing and detail specification of every step. Communication was perfect from start to finish of the project. The crew really paid specific attention to the smallest details that make a difference in the long run of concrete. The owner personally operated machinery, worked with his crew, and made sure everything was perfect down to the last detail. Highly recommended!

We had removed our wood deck; a 10 X 10 wood screen porch; and a tree to make room for a new 3 season room addition. Decided we wanted to replace the deck with concrete because it would be low maintenance. We had seen the driveway and sidewalk work G Cat had done for some friends so choosing G Cat for our project was easy. My wife and I had drawn a rough picture of what we wanted indicating where we wanted the stairs, flower beds and sidewalks. Looking at the picture during our first meeting we immediately knew Vito had a total understanding of what we wanted. And his final vision totally exceeded our expectations. His quote was well within our budget. I can't say enough about Vito and the people who work for him. Everyone on his crews knew what they were doing each day of the project and at the end of each day my yard was cleaned up. I wish the company that installed my fence had done as good a job of cleanup. Vito took the time as each phase of the project proceeded to explain what would be happening and asked us how we liked the layout of the flower beds; curved sidewalks and curved wall as work progressed. We didn't need to make any changes as Vito's layouts were beyond what we expected. I want to applaud G Cat for the care they took with installing the proper drainage behind the wall and around the sunroom. I also want to thank them for not pushing to just get the job done during a very cold ands wet April this year. My neighbor had a new stamped concrete patio installed at the same time G Cat was doing mine. My neighbor's contractor poured the concrete on a day when it was barely above freezing. When I asked Vito why he wasn't pouring my concrete he simply said he couldn't ensure the quality would be good long-term if he poured it on such a cold day. Needless to say my wife and I are totally pleased with our choice and look forward to many years enjoying our new patio.

We have used G-CAT for our stamped concrete patio as well as a concrete driveway with stamped walkway. Plus sealing maintenance. They are EXCELLENT in every way - the quality of the work is fantastic. We always trust things are being done correctly and to the highest standard. In addition to that, they are so clean and respectful of your home while working. The team took care not to ruin our grass and landscaping during construction, especially when needing to go back and forth to/from the backyard. This is so much appreciated. Lastly and importantly, the communication is fantastic. Vito has been out project manager for these projects and he is incredibly responsive and hands-on from beginning to end. Cost-wise, they are on the high end in comparison to other companies but we find it’s well worth the investment based on all the above-noted factors. We would HIGHLY recommend G-CAT to anyone looking for great concrete work!

The G-Cat staff was excellent in all of their activities. They were on time, completed the work in a great manner and left the property in a clean and safe condition. Vito and the crew were amazing. Tiana gets back to you instantly with answers to any of your questions. Once I made the call to get an estimate, Kyle in sales was here to take measurements, listened and took notes of all our requests. I got quotes from two other companies, G-Cat was in the ballpark of the others. I wanted a company with expertise, affordability, and time for completion. G-Cat exceeded all expectations. I got a call from Vito on a Thursday afternoon asking if they could start. The crew started approximately around 2pm on a Thursday and by Friday afternoon the old driveway was gone, and all the framing was ready to go. It rained Saturday, come early Monday morning they started pouring the new concrete, by Tuesday afternoon it was all done! They got it done in 4 business days. Incredible! Our old driveway was never installed correctly, had multiple cracks that when it rained the water flowed towards the house. I highly recommend G-Cat for any and all your concrete needs! truly impressed of how hard the crew worked. Here are before and after pictures. This is by far better than “as good as it gets”. First the complete driveway and sidewalk removed and expertly replaced. All concrete was poured very precise and with great care to the surroundings. I love my concrete replacement it really adds to my property. I was so pleased with this company I went further and had my concrete porch removed and replaced. Another expert job! Again, precise and great care taken to the surroundings. The workmen were so neat and cleaned everything beautifully. I would classify G-Cat construction way above the rest.

I can finally tell others that I have a concrete guy! Working with G Cat construction was a simple, smooth, and efficient process. From the reasonable quote, to the quick responses from Tiana, all the way to the professional crew, I cannot say enough good things about G Cat. Vito and his crew were punctual and extremely considerate when demoing near my house and fence, making sure to take every precaution. I’m the type to do research on quality and price. I got four bids and they were right in the middle. I’m so glad we went with G-Cat for our concrete work. Vito and Jillian came out, listened to us and gave us suggestions prior to the work being done that helped our plan. And when Vito and his crew came out, they worked fast, efficient and were very clean. They put boards down to protect our sidewalk, our driveway, our grass and they took care of minimizing any damage to the landscaping. In the office Tianna and Missy kept in contact with us and worked with in our schedule as well as theirs. Four of our neighbors have used them and fifth is getting a driveway bid. You won’t be sorry!
