Bruce and I reviewed the work that needed being done. An appointment was scheduled. Leo and crew were right on time. They were efficient stating with the trimming in the front and working their way around the house to the heavier work in the back. Everything was cleaned up and the yard was neater than when they came. I'd recommend them any time.

SavATree removed an infected tree from my front yard. Not only did they do an amazing job; they also left my yard immaculate. I was extremely impressed and thrilled with their service. I would not hesitate to use them again. I found them on Angie’s List and am happy I did.

This company is cutting down trees and some are healthy. I have no idea how they call the company “save a tree” they are not replanting what they take and the business name makes no sense.

So professional. Prices are competitive (I've used them for tree removal, tree cabling, lawn maintenance [not mowing - I do my own] and suggestions re lawn, trees, shrubbery, and tree diagnosis - most recently when I thought a tree was sick, but they told me it would be fine again in the Spring). They are reliable, and really, really know what they are doing.

I use Savatree to remove 2 trees, grind the stumps, trim 15 pines and prune 2 other trees. Devon, Pat and Leo were great. They were on time, did all the work in a single day and did a wonderful job on clean up. They treated my property like it was their own. I have used Savatree in the past and will continue to use them in the future. Good bunch of hard working individuals.

The Arborists showed up when they said that they would and did a fast, efficient job removing trees damaged by a recent storm. They went over all of the details of the work with my spouse and did a great job! Thank you!

We had our 50 year old tree removed by Sav-A-Tree. They have been trimming this tree for ten years and it has been a pleasure working with them. Always gets the job done. Jake is very courteous and proffessional. I would also like to thank the crew who not only are hard workers and proffessional they also left our yard spotless. Thanks again.

For the years that I have been receiving a service to treat for scale on my trees, I would ask periodically if the trees were still in good health and if it was truly worth continuing the treatment. I have a few trees that were not looking too good, but I was constantly reassured that they were in good health and that we should continue treatment. Not only that, but they were treating these trees at the wrong times of the year, long after any insects would have already matured. After receiving input from another source, I have since learned that the trees I had concerns for were in fact dead and have been for quite a while. I thought I could trust the "arborists" at SavATree, but instead I ended up wasting hundreds and hundreds of dollars on treatment that was completely unnecessary. I would avoid SavATree and their predatory nature, save yourself some money and get a second opinion. This company is purely looking to make money and while I understand that a business needs to survive, being this dishonest year after year and after multiple inquiries, it is safe to say your money is best spent elsewhere with a more reliable service provider. Do not take their word when it comes to the sustainability of the services they provide as they only have their best interests at heart.

SavATree in general has never been anything but amazing to work with. The Bloomfield office, and their arborist Garrett in particular, were extremely knowledgable and trustworthy. The office and staff have been easy and incredible to work with. They have been very responsive and clear. Would work with them again if we ever have tree needs.

Leo and his crew are always wonderful. We have used them many times and they are always respectful, polite and patient when I have any requests. They did a wonderful job and left my property spotless!

We hired SavAtree to remove a few trees from our yard. The crew was very professional, Pat, Dan and Duran did a great job! One of the key things I noticed is the attention to safety with the proper use of personal protective equipment such as helmets, protective gear, etc.

This is a long review…if you are considering tree work, which is inherently dangerous work, it merits your reading through this review. I am retired from the Navy, and from federal land management and law enforcement. My wife and I recently hired SavATree for a significant amount of tree work on our property; work that included aged and diseased tree removal, limbing, thinning and “chipping” brush and tree parts. From my first contact with the local office staff (Samantha in Belchertown MA, and Jacqueline in Connecticut) they were efficient and knowledgeable….more importantly, polite and engaging! Our business with them was off to a great start (and remained so through the project’s completion!). The next step was a site visit….which occurred within a day of contacting the office, their Arborist (Michael) arrived - we walked my property, discussed the issues…what a great visit that was. Michael is a professional Arborist (incidentally, professionalism is an accurate descriptor, and remained so through the entirety of our project!)…Again, I have some federal forestry experience….and Michael is the genuine “article”: he is knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly. Some time in the field with him is a “mini education” on trees, forestry ecology, and how to be a good land steward. I appreciated his professionalism and engaging personality—- I know a layman or someone with no experience, would equally appreciate it, and maybe learn from him, as well! The estimate Michael came up with was fair—especially so for the amount of work they did on our property! We agreed to the work….and Michael being concerned with one particularly dangerous old diseased oak, really pushed for our project to commence ….which did within a week of his initial visit. I could not be convinced that they would complete my project in a single day. Michael kept saying it and I just could not believe it….a single day? The scheduled day, they were exactly on time (0830). Michael and his crew showed up (Foreman Angel and three more), they discussed the project scope, allowing me to listen in, and again, I was immediately impressed…everyone was decked out in full safety gear (important to me! And it should be to the readers, as well!). Angel then briefed his troops….and the sawing, equipment movement, chipping began. I never heard it stop….these are professional sawyers, and equipment operators—it was an impressive operation! I understand that they do small projects with the same professionalism. They were complete by 3:30 pm…cleaning up the worksite….amazing. And Michael was right: one day!!! And in a project the size of mine, there is so much going on…men moving trucks and trailers, machinery, saws, trees being felled and shredded ….and one of my posts at the turn-in on my driveway got “clipped”. It happens. Michael, Samantha—so understanding and apologetic—-again: they are true professionals with heart. By the next day, Michael contacted me and we discussed SavATree’s replacement and installation of the damaged post. This company, these people…..are “top notch”. My wife and I couldn’t be happier. And a final note: I wanted chips to be left to use as mulch and trail bedding. Rather than leave my shredded saplings and limbs, Michael —on his own volition—arranged for chipped pine…5 yards of it!!….and pine.makes for much better scented mulch! Also, I have numerous young conifers (pines and hemlocks) planted throughout the project area. Not a single one of them was damaged….which, if you know anything about felling large trees, speaks again to the employees professionalism and experience. They care, they work hard, they know what they are doing, they are safe….they are professionals and everyone of them, friendly. If you consider them, don’t be afraid to ask questions—they no doubt will have the answers. Michael, Samantha, and Angel and his “tree troopers”….Thank you again! Anyone reading this considering “tree work”, I don’t believe you’ll find anyone out there better…from the office staff to the field….just outstanding!

Jake and Leo did a wonderful job removing my Silver Maple tree and pruning a couple of trees in the backyard. They also did a great job cleaning up. I highly recommend both Jake and Leo from Save a Tree in Bloomfield CT.
