General Contractor reviews in Canton, Connecticut

When spending money on a home project, it’s important to hire a company you can trust to get the job done. ZN is beyond professional and leaves no small detail overlooked. My design company has worked with ZN on a number of projects, and seen their process from start to finish. I have recommended ZN to many people with the confidence that they’ll be more than pleased with the outcome of their project.

We had a major water damage in a sunroom that resulted in the whole room essentially needing to get rebuilt. What a mess!

From the get go Zac was very clear and communicative with everything. He helped us decide what needed to be replaced and what we could reuse. And was very responsive when we had questions about anything.

During the project the guys who actually did the work were awesome. They were always on time and worked so hard. Explained the process to us as it all went and were incredibly patient. Their paint and carpet subcontractors were the same way too.

ZN Construction recently replaced a variety of rotting wood exterior trim around our house. Zac and his team were fantastic from start to finish. Their online estimation process made it so easy to start the process and was accurate and fair. Their communication throughout was incredibly timely and professional and not something you commonly find in the contractor space. The team showed up on time every day and worked very efficiently. They did really high quality work and left the job site spotless. When they uncovered a larger area of rot that needed repair, they discussed options with me, and addressed it very timely, despite their busy schedule. These guys are terrific and I will use them for all future projects!

Zac Neville and ZN Construction & Contracting, LLC not only created our beautiful kitchen, but they also made it a pleasant experience. Their attention to detail, their dependability, respect for our home and for us, as clients, far exceeded our expectations of a complete renovation. They are clean, kind, patient, and work with integrity! It was very important to us for the kitchen to be aligned with the quality of our older home. Zac and his craftsmen mirrored the style with the utmost care and precision. Working with a contractor was a new experience for us. Zac was very understanding and patient with any concerns we expressed. He was reliable in keeping us up to date on the daily work being done and the next steps. At the beginning of the renovation, he gave us an estimated date of completion. Being a 1936 circa home, there were surprises within the walls and ZN Construction still met their time frame. We highly recommend the quality skills of ZN Construction and Contracting, LLC!

The ZN team just recently finished remodeling the exterior of our home and we couldn't be happier with the result! The house is completely transformed and now looks so much more modern. The project included new doors, decks and siding. I am so impressed with their ability to create my vision. The house is so much more functional and safe. Overall the whole team was respectful and great with communication. Zac and Ryan were both dependable with their responsiveness to our questions. The other guys, TJ, Lou, Joe, Eric were also great to work with, they were knowledgeable and respectful. We would recommend ZN for any projects big or small and would use them again.

Zac and team came to the rescue to put the finishing touch on our new home with columns! From the start, Zac was responsive and highly knowledgeable about top quality workmanship. The attention to detail and care put into the installation of the columns is unmatched. I would (and plan to) use Zac’s team for any project. The work is worth every penny!

ZN Construction just completed my new deck! I dreaded the entire process and was more than a little bit irritated I was having to replace the old deck I never used. However, after working with Zac on a redesign and just a few days work Lou and John built a brand new deck that is much nicer, much more usable and way way better than I had imagined. The crew - led by Lou was fabulous and really a pleasure to work with. I could not have had a better experience and recommend them highly! I will use them for all my projects from now on.

I hired ZN Construction to completely remodel a bathroom, including new floor, drywall and all new fixtures. They provided a detailed estimate, answered all my questions quickly, and they stuck to the agreed upon schedule. They did a fantastic job, kept the disruption to the rest of the house at a minimum and were friendly and helpful the whole time they were here. Everything came out great, including the new painting of the trim, walls and ceiling. I'm very pleased. Highly recommend.

I will keep this short and simple, ZN is by far the best crew I have ever worked with. We had water damage that led to a complete master bathroom remodel. We had no experience with designing a new space, and we knew nothing about what it would take to get our master bathroom installed and looking great. Enter Zac and his team at ZN. They worked with us every step of the way, and the team at ZN was simply amazing (special shout out Eric, he is as professional and attentive as they come). They were slightly higher than the other quotes we received, but barely, and I can see why. There is simply no comparison to what they deliver. You pay for what you get, and ZN is worth every penny. Thanks again to Zac and his team for an amazing job, and we look forward to working with you guys again down the road!

I have used ZN Construction for a few different projects and I have been absolutely delighted every time. The work and craftsmanship has always been impeccable. No details are left unfinished. They have always treated my home and business as if it were their own. The level of care, consideration, and professionalism shown by their crews is something that is rare to find nowadays in any business.
I can honestly say that using any other building contractor is a mistake. These guys are the absolute best in the business.

Our second project with ZN, a screened porch do-over, was recently completed. We are very pleased with the result and we have several months of 2024 left to enjoy the new space before the cold weather move in..

Similar to our first experience, Zac and his team were great to deal with, from determining the project scope through the two weeks of actual work.

Zac & his team did a great job installing new sliding doors on our house. They were polite, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. Joe was very responsive and easy to communicate with during the quoting process. We would definitely use them again for other projects

I have used ZN construction multiple times and have been extremely impressed.

when I need some work on the house I can depend on Joe to be very responsive to emails and quote a fair price. He or someone on his team always arrives in the window they say they will. They’re incredibly polite and professional, and they do really good work.

Zac and his team are great! They have great ideas to help transfer your vision to reality. They are easy to work with and you barely know they’re in the house.

Excellent. Set reasonable expectations for us ahead of time on how possible it would be to perfectly match new cabinets to old, then went above and beyond and got it better than we expected.

We hired Zac and his crew to completely gut and remodel a full bathroom. It was a fairly complicated job based upon an interior designer's plan. ZN Construction did a perfect job with it. But more than that, the communication from Zac about the project was great, his crew was very attentive to keeping the house clean, and all were friendly, trustworthy and reliable. The level of customer service was much better than what one would typically experience with a contractor. Definitely will use ZN for future projects.

Our experience with ZN Construction was fabulous from beginning to end. They remodeled our entire master bath and painted our master bedroom. Zac and his team were wonderful to work with from the initial estimation to last minute touch ups. They were even able to add an additional emergency job of roof and drywall repair, painting and carpet install. This was all in the planned timeframe! Quality was great, and any small issues were addressed very quickly. Zac was very responsive via text, phone, and email. We love our remodel and would use ZN Construction again for an remodel work in our home.

ZN Construction completed a job for our neighbor who raved about their work and Zac’s communication. I have to say we experienced the same! Good communication, professionalism and a team that pays attention to detail is essential. We were very satisfied with their work replacing a garage support pole and are in the process of having Zac quote another project for us. We highly recommend ZN Construction and will continue to go to Zac with any future needs we may have.

The team were a dream to work with, from start to finish. Highly professional, but friendly and easygoing; like working with neighbors, not strangers. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
2023 and we just finished our third project with ZN and they were fantastic, as usual. Everyone at ZN were patient with our endless questions and they were very helpful with ways to save money on the project without sacrificing quality. They never tried to get us to spend more money than we absolutely needed to. Zac and his team were very concerned with the project's impact on our daily life and they always left the project area cleaner than they found it. They go the extra mile and they're folks you'll enjoy having in your home and working with.

I had a relatively small job (a single broken window) that I needed fixed when I called ZN. They told me from the beginning that they were quite busy, but would squeeze a small project in between their larger projects. Zac was in constant communication with me and as soon as the window was delivered, they got me on the schedule, true to their word. And once they got here, the guys were great, everything you'd want them to be and the price was exactly as quoted originally. If you want a professional job done, know what you're going to pay for it and have good communication in the process, you need to call these guys. They're good,

We've used ZN Construction for 4 projects in our house (wallpaper removal and painting, custom bookshelf, custom storage wall shelf, bathroom counter installation). They did an incredible job, were professional, tidy, efficient and great to work with! I highly recommend them and am looking forward to hiring them again in the future!

Additional Review 2024: We had ZN come back for a larger project in our master bedroom which included adding a walk-in closet and vanity and a complete bathroom remodel of our master bathroom. We had the same experience as always, and the space came out exactly how I pictured it. Zac and his team were patient and professional, and their skill and attention to detail are hard to beat. I would highly recommend ZN for any job, big or small!
