Worst tree removal I have ever seen. Took forever to take down a neighbor tree that was adjacent to my driveway. I could not use my driveway during the day for over a week and they left huge sections of the tree on the lawn and after 4 days the sections are still there.
This was an electric eversource job so the quality was horrible. I had a tree twice as large taken down near this tree and it only took a day to cut and they left no tree on the lawn.

Worst drivers ever. Unbelievable how aggressive the guy going from Warren to Palmer is. It screams little soldier syndrome. Probably a micro given his overcompensation.

Eversource made a ticket for them to come out and trim trees on the road that are wrapping around the lines going pole to pole
They came out and decided that they couldn't because the top line was exposed
So they sent another person out to replace the wire and are refusing to come back and trim the very hazardous trees

Storm Isaias left our street a wreck. Trevor and Devin came out to assess the street and a limb on the service wires to my home. I'm so grateful they were able to remove the fallen branches right then and there. They were professional, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and offered advice on another issue. Thank you again for being awesome and helping us out.

National Grid contracted Asplundh to remove branches which had fallen on electrical wires from a wind storm. The guy on the ground refused to answer any questions and the guy in the bucket was not only rude to my neighbor, but then swore at me for being near my own house!! I wasn’t anywhere near the drop zone. Anyone who reads this, do yourself a favor DONT hire these clowns!! They don’t deserve your hard earned money! They are rude, nasty and their workmanship is less then zero!!!

Horrible. Just had Tennentt Tree Service out of Windham, Ct remove 3 THREE trees in 1 1/2 hours, cleaning up and left everything pristine. These clowns from Asplundh have been here over 2 hours. They removed a few branches, cut some unrelated very small trees and did a very poor job of cleaning up. Spent more time on their phones than working. A supervisor in a pick up truck came by to check, talked some more and left. No wonder our electricity costs are so high.

This company has been contracted by Eversource to trim tree in East Haddam CT. They were working on our road and my wife was driving home and flagged thru the work zone only to have a limb or as they would like to say a branch fell on our car, denting our roof, shattering a side window and denting the rear quarter panel. I think that this company self insures because it has been over a week now and they are fighting us on the repairs to our Volvo. They have no excuses, they are bullies that think we will take what they give us, not true....such a simple thing, just repair the the damage done and move on. Not this company and there work is very sub par for sure.....they need to get their act together and Eversource should not just take the low bidder to have work done ...

Not only did they not trim any trees that were instructing the power lines. But they set up the wood chopper next to my brand new truck and shot wood chips all over it. They also sent all the chips in piles on the side of the road. This is all on top of parking in the middle of a small country road then screaming at you when you drive by at a crawl terrible terrible company.

They were subcontracted by Wallingford Electric to trim trees from power lines. The day they worked in front of my home, literally parked in front of my mailbox, they left a path of destruction. Well, maybe that's an exaggeration, however, there were broken tree limbs, tree debris, and worst of all...my mailbox on the ground. They came to look at it and noted that my 1 piece plastic mailbox had a rotted wooden anchor and the staff stayed it was fine when they left. Well, how do you prove it unless on camera which I have but it's not fully installed yet! So a perfectly fine, standing, full plastic mailbox, now lies on the ground and I get to pay for a new one. They did finally come back to somewhat clean up the mess they left which looked like they had left in a hurry, but refuse to help in anyway in regards to the replacement of my mailbox which was fine until their employees left my location. They offered no help, no resolution at all. They declined any involvement and left us holding the bag and the bill.

They came through our neighborhood to do some tree trimming around the power lines, so I can't really speak to their customer service/pricing/etc.

But the team that was here were great. Very conscientious, avoiding damaging some young trees we have below where they were pruning, left everything in great shape. They even made sure our trash got picked up (since their truck was in the way of the usual spot). If I need more trimming in the future they'll definitely be my first call.

told me they’d do a light trim on a huge oak I have in my front yard so I agreed to let them do the work. Only to find out after finishing a long day at work exhausted from the heat that the min I pulled up to my home the whole tree was gone !! Unbelievable

Nothing but praise for Jordan and his team. Hired by eversource to do work to keep me and my neighbors with power. Jordan was great to communicate with and answered all my questions and concerns. Team did a fantastic job taking down a massive Ash tree that endangered not only the power lines but also my home. Not sure why all the negative feedback for these guys. Tree work is dangerous enough and these guys also do it around all the power lines! Give them a break

They Came out the day after I reported a dead oak tree to national grid. After confirming the plan to take down the tree, they safely and carefully cut away piece by piece avoiding power lines, fruit trees etc. Not one piece of my property was damaged and they dropped the trunk precisely where they meant to. I couldn't have asked for a more professional team. Jeff was especially personable and helpful! 5 stars!

For this company, a zero-star rating should exist. The best word to describe this company is "Lazy". I could do a better job cutting down trees with a nail-clipper.

They cut down a single tree on my property. They told me that they would cut the truck into manageable pieces and they would chip the rest. I wasn't on-site when they took the tree down, but when I returned, the tree was down, in one single log, and there was a 8 ft tall mound of branches and brush. They also broke a light fixture that was located near where they were working.

It took three weeks of calling their main office for a supervisor to finally return my call. When the supervisor (Chris) finally called back, he claimed he was on vacation for the entire three weeks and no other supervisors were available. After complaining that his crew was lazy (They are) and how he's so tired of having to clean up their messes, he assured me that the crew would return to cut up the tree into manageable sizes and chip the branches/brush. As for the broken light fixture, the supervisor told me that it's most likely just the bulb that's broken. Meanwhile, the lantern was crooked and leaning to one side of the post.

They did return. They cut the truck into 8 foot sections (hardly manageable) and left the pile of brush. Now the supervisor refuses to respond to my calls.

The only thing they are "Experts" in, is ducking responsibility for outrageously poor work.

ZERO stars! We were told they would be doing "some light trimming around the power lines." They took HALF of two of our beautiful 30+ year old trees!!!

Instead of taking the minimum off my ancient silver maples to 'protect the power lines', they cut at the base of each branch. They also broke a birdhouse in the process (not because a branch fell on it - but because one of the guys decided to use it as his personal saw holder, blade down). The other guy was nice enough to talk to me about it, but it's always devastating when a tree that took decades to grow is destroyed in an hour or two by poor choices.

They were working for the electric company cutting problem trees they had a piece fall and break my water meter box, they fixed the damage without a fight like new and were professional in their tree clearing.

Unaware of tree cutting that would be taking place on our property in Norwich. I appreciate that they were clearing for the power lines. I guess that's what was going on. Very clearly it hadnt been done in many, many years. But they took down many trees not just limbs. It's virtually clear cut from the road back 10'-20' atleast. If we'd been informed, we would not have spent hours just recently out there trimming back and planning for privacy from the road. I did contact the town and apparently they don't notify homeowners, as other towns do. Communication would have been key here. I know that is not the tree services' responsibility but the cutting was aggressive.

These guys showed up today, without notice mind you, allegedly to trim branches away from wires. I stopped them after they chopped down four healthy trees on private property. I could see no reason why any of the four had to be felled. Only one was mine and after reading the reviews here, I have little hope for justice but I'm sure going to try. My God. They cut down four healthy trees . Tree experts? More like butchers.

They now refuse to take down an ash tree that they originally wanted to cut down but we said no because the ash trees endangered. But you know, they didn't care. But after a long discussion with the crew they decided that they would trim a branch off to make the minimum requirements for a powerline. Now not even a month later the tree died from ash bores. Again if they were so professional, they would know that taking such a large chunk off a tree would make it easy for bugs to get in but they didn't mention that. Now that tree is a safety hazard and can fall when ever it can on the powerlines, which completely defeats the purpose of trimming it possibly and can possibly kill someone. So my question is, why denie that you didn't want to take it down in the first place when you originally wanted to take it down? Oh and another thing, it appears that their employees are more focused on their lunch breaks then actually doing the work. It took them a SOLID WEEK to cut down just 6 trees Louies tree service would do that in a day/day an half.

Update:

One of their employees stoped by to look at the tree. He was very informative and nice. He said that they would be able to cut down the tree in a few weeks. That's better guys. Keep it up like that it this reveiw will be five stars.

Update 2: On July 16th and 17th Asplundh came by and cut down the ash tree. Pretty decent job but the caveat of this job was the time. 2 days to cut down a medium size tree with very little branches that has been dead for 2 years. It would've gone by faster but while one guy was cutting down the tree, the other guy was one his phone. Now, I know that it wasnt his fault because picking up the branches in the danger zone can be hazardous and or deadly for his life. He did sharpen a chainsaw while he was not needed though. But on the other hand, if they had two trucks here, the tree would've been down in a day. But it was a free job funded by CT so it was a win-win. The guys that came by were very professional and nice. Plus, they didnt tear up the lawn and raked up all the sticks that feel down from the tree.

Tree Expert is a choice of words. Tree butcherer is more accurate. This is a removal service, not an arborist. I’m not a paying customer, but my city sent them over without notice to clear lines. This is fine, but there’s an art to it and then there’s a “cut everything back so we don’t have to come back for years approach.” My tree was essentially halved with everything facing the street gone and choices were made. There’s a SINGLE branch overhanging the street at truck height and several bare branches jaggedly sticking out like a pincushion. One bare branch looks like it’s flipping us off, which is a valid response from the tree. If my tree was a child with a bad haircut, I’d have to get them a wig and change school districts. My tree is tore up from the floor up and I hope it can get some new growth from the cuts to fill it in. WOOF!
