Expect 2 plus hours for inspection. 2 1/2 hours for 1400 square foot condo with detached garage and crawl space home.

Professional, thorough, and meticulous in inspecting a home. Mike spent 7 hours inspecting a house I was going to buy, and saved me from a financial disaster. I accompanied him the full 7 hours asking dozens of questions, and he took the time to answer each one fully. I would give him 6 stars if I could.

HPI did an amazing job on our home inspection, and the repairs the seller has done based on the inspection are well over $15,000. They were so incredibly thorough and checked everything you could. Michael was a great home inspector! Even months after inspecting my home he was very courteous to an inquiry I had about the report he had written up. I had reached out because my insurance agency's home inspector claimed to have discovered had old electrical wiring and required me to address these. In Michael's report, it was clear that the electrical had been updated but noted that there were older wires still present.

He was able to clarify this with me in his report and view the insurance agency's inspectors photos to disclaim it.

I would recommend his services as he was very patient and answered any questions I may have had regarding my home.

Not really the review type but if you're Having a tough time finding a home inspector... Look no further. I had a very tight time line and the day we scheduled actually got cancelled and we had to reschedule to the next day. Mike was extremely adaptable to the situation, and by far exceeded my expectations of a home inspector. If you want someone who is willing to go through all the details, do it the right way and explain things to you then this is your guy. From the first phone call I felt that my questions and concerns were heard. Your agent may not be thrilled at the extra time, but this is your one shot to really look at the house. I left the inspection feeling as if I really had a total idea of what was going on with the home. Mike even made some great suggestions about things that didn't necessarily need to be fixed right away, but could be improved. We thoroughly went through the good, the ok but could be improved and the not so great.

Outside of the home stuff I felt I was dealing with a genuine person who really had my best interest at heart. There's a reason he's got so many good reviews, you'll be served well if you go with him.

We hired Mike to do a radon in air, radon in water, well potability, well flow, and home inspection during the closing process on our new house.

He was knowledgeable, friendly, and very, very thorough. Every aspect of the house, from top to bottom, was inspected and explained to my husband and I. Mike educated us about the upkeep of our house, and let us know about things we would have to budget for in the future.

He took the time to explain to use what any issues were, how soon they ought to be fixed, and which type of specialist to call to have them investigated further (furnace had not been recently inspected, so call a heating contractor)

He also encouraged us to point out any areas that we may have concerns about, and took special care to explain why or why not that area may be an issue (e.g. a cracked step in the garage concerned me, but Mike explained the process of how house foundation are poured, and why that step is not a issue).

Mike also gave us a binder with the original copy of his notes, a very nice book about how to maintain our home, and a digital copy of his extensive final report. We will absolutely recommend Mike to our friends without any hesitation. He did a fantastic job.

My wife found Mike online and after a long phone conversation she knew he was the one to complete our first home inspection. He was very accommodating, and was able to complete the inspection within a three day notice, since we needed the inspection done before I left the state for work. Mike was very thorough! Making sure we knew everything there was to know about the house. He was even available to speak to my wife separately to discuss any questions she may have had since she was unable to attend the inspection. Mike knows best and we can’t thank him enough for his dedication and hard work!

Mike is an inspection with an education. I was most pleased with his inspection of the home we were considering. Mike is personable and professional. The inspection was extremely thorough and informative. He answered all of our questions and provided lots of tips and tricks on how to properly maintain the home.
