Reviews of local pros in Ledyard, Connecticut

Denison did an excellent job removing several trees in our yard, including a few in a really overgrown area. There was little impact to my many perennials and our yard was left clean. Jason was great to work with. Highly recommend Denison Tree Service!

I had over 10 large trees removed. Dennison's price was very fair, the crew is professional and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond what I asked them to do. I will be hiring them again.

Very professional and efficient. They came to my home cut a few trees down and cleaned up the area. I would highly recommend them.

I am beyond impressed with this company. I’ve used other tree services in the past, but this was by far the most professional and safety-conscious experience. The team provided a quick turnaround, excellent cleanup, and outstanding service overall. I highly recommend Denison Tree Removal!

Amazing company and a interactive, friendly, helpful staff. Great job on my tree and left the wood piled up where it goes. Thank you Denison Tree Removal!!!

We are very happy with our Dennison Tree experience. The crew was on time, courteous, and extremely good at what they do.

Showed up on time and took great care not to damage lawn. They were very professional and clean. Workers were approachable and happy to answer questions.

Top Notch! Been a realtor at Sotheby’s for 25 years and am glad I found Jason and his crew. Polite, professional, reliable and a joy to work with. I’ll be recommending Dennison Tree Removal to all of my clients.

They did an amazing job. Very professional crew cleaned the entire area after the trees were down. They also took extra care not to damage a smaller tree next to the tree they removed.

I would highly recommend Denison Tree Removal. Jason was very professional- from providing an estimate, respectful follow-up, and taking down a number of trees in a challenging environment with a very professional crew and equipment. He and his crew impressed the whole neighborhood. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Hired Jason and his amazing team. They showed up on time looking professional with some amazing equipment. The team did a top tier job and the entire experience was perfect. 100% will be using them exclusively for all my tree needs going forward. Highly recommended!

Crew actually showed up early, did an excellent job at a reasonable price.

Best tree company that I’ve dealt jwith would highly recommend them. Did a fantastic job of cleaning the area and having the stumps removed thank you so much for your service. if I know anyone that needs trees to be removed in the future, I will definitely recommend them once again thank you very much

If I could give Denison six stars, I would. Great prices, did exactly what they said they would plus even a little extra thrown in. Great equipment, great crew, they are going to be my first call for any future tree work. Clean up left my yard better than they found it. Thank you Jason!

Jason and his crew meticulously removed an enormous tulip tree in close proximity to our house. We found Jason and the crew very easy to work with. I also appreciated that Jason followed through on all aspects of our contract and made sure the work was done to our satisfaction.

I cannot say enough good things about the Denison Tree Removal team! They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I felt I was in good hands. Will definitely use again!

I had a very quick response from Denison for the appraisal and the with to be done. Very responsive. The crew was great and worked hard and very safely. Highly recommended!

We had a very large oak (almost 4' in diameter) that needed to come down due to ongoing deterioration from previous gypsy moth damage. It was just a few feet from our house with huge limbs reaching across our roof. It was in a very tight area, totally surrounded by wood fencing, chicken coops, and a glass greenhouse. Jason came right out to assess what the job required and give us a quote. He showed up on time and got the job done, right down to placing the logs next to our woodshed and cleaning up everything! We were BEYOND impressed with the whole experience!

Denison came in to take down two large deaf Ash trees at our home in Norwich. One of them was over 4’ wide at the base. They showed up early, worked quick and efficiently, cleaned up everything and left the yard better than it was in less than a full day. Very professional and friendly group of guys that I’d recommend to anyone in need of tree removal work.

All work was performed as requested. The crew was very efficient. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend this company for any tree removal project. Great job!

I highly recommend Denison Tree Removal & Service for all your tree-related needs. It is unusual to find a company that does exactly what they say they will do. Denison is that rare company!
We had an unbelievable mess to clean up after 3 huge oak trees fell, taking many smaller trees with them, during the big snow and windstorm we had this past February 2026. Trees were twisted together and large branches were precariously perched on living trees. We had 3 tree companies come to provide estimates to remove the fallen trees, broken branches, and debris. According to all three tree experts, it was one of the worst messes they had ever seen.
Our experience with Denison was, from start to finish, perfect! Here are the reasons why we think so highly of this company:
1. When I called, someone actually answered the phone! That person scheduled an estimate. I received an email confirming the date and time of the estimate and then Jason, the owner, arrived at our house exactly at the scheduled time. He took his time looking over the project and then emailed me the estimate before he left our driveway.
2. Jason’s knowledge of how to proceed with this job and his manner when explaining what they could do for us helped us feel confident that all would be okay in the end. (It was.) Jason assured us that his employees would be able to cut down the branches and trees, chip or haul away, the debris, and that it would all be done in 2 or 3 days. And this work would be done without causing additional damage to our property. This is exactly how the job went.
3. Every one of the Denison employees worked diligently and with care to protect our other landscaping.
4. We paid exactly the amount given to us in our estimate which, as an added perk, was lower than the other 2 tree companies’ estimates.
Do not hesitate to call Denison Tree Removal & Service!
