Reviews of local pros in Plainville, Connecticut

We had a great experience. We needed help replacing an old ceiling fan with old wiring, and addressing some other issues from past homeowners. Communication was great, and I was looped into the work being done each step of the way. I felt Sam was really knowledgeable, which was super reassuring. Everything was resolved, and the new fan looks great! I also appreciated that Sam wore booties in my house over his shoes, used a drop cloth for falling ceiling debris, and swept my floors when he was done! We would absolutely use them again.

It’s clear why there’s so many five star reviews for MC Electrical. Sam, Matt and their crew are true professionals. Honest, reliable, and extremely fair with pricing for the high-quality work they perform. Very happy with the work they did in our home and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.

Highly recommend had them come out to replace my 200 Amp breaker panel that had that had multiple double tapped circuits from previous home owners. Did an amazing job. Also had them wire a quick connect for portable generator. Would not choose anyone else. They were promptly right on time when they said they would be here. And job was done in the time frame given. Thanks again my next project will be through this company.

Matt and his coworker were awesome. Kind, reliable, on time and made sure I was satisfied with all of their work (which was done above expectations). I’d definitely recommend them to everyone. Matt definitely made sure the work was done correctly and in a timely matter. Me and my family will definitely be using them for any future work that needs to be done.
MC Electrical Contacting,LLC I look forward to you guys coming back out to upgrade some more of my home.

MC Electric helped me with Siemens Versi EV charger install outside my garage. They were very professional throughout the process. Got quick quote and early date for the installation. Electrician came on time and explained the whole process. Completed install in time. Later on, I felt that charger was not high enough on the wall and it may accumulate snow during winter. I requested them to move it up. They honored my request and moved it up to suggested height without any more charges.
Thank you so much MC Electric for everything.

They did an amazing job with the installation of a generator for my home. Sam walked me through each step of the process and provided accurate timelines. They took care of my home and the team is extremely professional. Great job and high recommend them for any large or small projects.

We had an electrical problem and we called MC Electrical Contracting after reading a positive review of their work.
Sam from MC came yesterday and we were not disappointed at all. He was professional, pleasant and honest!
He did an outstanding job! We are so happy to have found such a great business.

Matt from MC Electrical was great to work with. Very professional, punctual and did an amazing job installing various light fixtures around our house. Matt also provided his expertise and advised me on a future outdoor project. He gave me all of his suggestions and provided the pros and cons of all my ideas. From start to finish the entire process was seamless. Steve, who he brought for the job was also great! I would highly recommend Matt and his team for any electrical needs!

Matt and his team did a few electrical repairs and installed some outside lighting at my house. The communication was excellent, they showed up as scheduled and did great work. They were clean and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Sam and Matt came highly recommended by a friend who was installing a couple of split system air conditioners for me.

I have a quirky house. It’s a post and beam on a slap without anywhere to hide the wiring. They did an incredible job routing conduit on the outside of my house so that it is barely noticeable. They were quick and efficient and the job ran flawlessly. Everything looks and runs great.

I am very happy with the price I received and the quality of work performed. I will not hesitate to use or recommend MC Electrical Contracting in the future.

The work was completed quickly and explained thoroughly. They actually found a major and dangerous issue we had with the electrical when working with another company on an installation. It was not problem we would have discovered because it was hidden in the breaker panel. Glad to have it fixed.

MC Electrical was an all around great experience! They were very responsive to my initial inquiry and maintained timely communication throughout the experience. Sam did a wonderful job with the installation outside electrical boxes and returned within an hour of my message that a breaker needed to be replaced. He and his coworker were professional, thoughtful, prompt and knowledgeable. I will definitely use MC Electrical for any future electrical needs.

MC Electrical was very knowledgeable solar system electrical. They made the necessary repairs and offered helpful advice towards future benefit's. I would highly recommend MC Electrical.

Sam did an amazing job installing new lighting in multiple rooms throughout my house, including recessed lighting and single light fixtures. He and his partner did high quality work in a short period of time. Definitely recommend him if you need some electrical work done.

Amazingly knowledgeable about the most modern technology and old school syuff like i have in my house! Also super fast at navigating odd problems. Customer service top notch! I can't say enough great things about Matt and his team! Simply the best!

MC Electrical Contracting exceeded my expectations. Punctual, professional, and their work on installing an upgraded electrical panel for my electric car charger was top-notch. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable and skilled electrical services. Looking forward to using their services again.

I highly recommend working with MC Electrical for any of your electric needs. Matt and his associate, Peyton, installed a ceiling fan in my old home and did a phenomenal job. They went the extra mile to bring the box up to code, and also made sure to install a special steel reinforcement bar for ceiling fans. No wobbling here! Matt and his team were incredibly kind, knowledgable, efficient, friendly and professional. MC Electrical will now be my go to for any work I need done and should be yours as well!

I’ve known both Sam and Matt at MC Electrical for quite a few years now, and I can absolutely vouch for their expertise, professionalism, and quality of work - and that of their whole team as well! From smaller jobs to my entire house, from referrals to clients to work for family and friends, I never hesitate to bring them in for electrical work where and when it is needed. In the design and construction industry, when you find someone good, you keep them. A full five stars, and a top recommendation for a fantastic team.

I needed a larger panel as well as the addition of lighting and plugs to the exterior of my 100+ year old house, and additional plugs and switches on the interior. I also needed reliable power to my detached garage. The MC crew was a pleasure to deal with and worked neatly and efficiently to get it all done. They also provided solutions that I never even knew existed to a particular lighting issue I had. I will not hesitate to use them again if needed. The price was reasonable, the time frame to get it done was fairly quick. Would definitely recommend Sam and his crew to anyone who asks.

Our experience with MC Electrical Contracting, from the initial discussions on the installation of a Generac whole-house generator to the final walkthrough, was exceptional. Sam and his team made a fantastic first impression that was maintained throughout the project. Their meticulous and neat work, both indoors and out, met the high standards one would anticipate from seasoned professionals. They efficiently repositioned our unused telephone and COAX cables to accommodate the new Generac panel in the basement, while also neatly rearranging our CAT5 cables and network switch. The result left us thoroughly impressed. After the installation, Sam took the time to thoroughly explain the operation of the generator and the panels, as well as what we should expect during a power outage. We wholeheartedly endorse MC Electrical Contracting for their outstanding service.

MC Electrical Contracting installed my Generac generator last year and also upgraded my electrical service from 100 amps to 200 amps. Sam and Matt are complete professionals. They are honest and provided a fair price and excellent workmanship. Their crew was polite, clean, competent and showed up on time as promised. I highly recommend this company for all your electrical needs.
