Nick and his crew removed 10 spruce trees from our yard. He was quick to respond, great communication, felled the trees perfectly and clean up was excellent. I will use his tree service again and highly recommend to others.

Response to our email request for a quote was about 3 minutes! On a Sunday afternoon, no less, on July 4th weekend! Nick stopped by July 4 in the evening and said he would take care of the job (removing some huge tree trunks) by the end of the week. He came, as promised, and removed the trunks. Billing was quick, more than very reasonable, and the website is efficient for electronic payment. We recommend this outfit to everyone! Hope and John

They have done work for my clients in Lime Rock, Watertown, Southbury Ct. I even had them do work for a clients vacation home in Newport R.I..Always prompt and a realistic price.Cleanup after the job is important to my clients and they have always been satisfied. I called Nick to get a quote on taking down the largest hemlock tree this side of the Nonnewaug River, as well as some smaller oaks. He was in my backyard that afternoon to provide a quote. A week later and the trees are off my property. Nick and his crew left the place pristine. They are great - a very respectful group of guys. I would strongly recommend their services.

Nick was fantastic. We had a very difficult tree - very big, very old, and leaning over our house. Nick very professionally took it out piece by piece. He also cleaned up a few of our other trees with branches growing towards our neighbors. And he was smart enough to ask my wife what she wanted taken out - it’s always smart to ask the real customer! :-). Nick will be my first call the next time I need help with a tree.

I highly recommend Nick and his crew. They responded to my inquiry almost immediately, came to look at the job the same day, listened carefully to what I wanted done, and emailed me a very reasonable (and accurate) estimate the same night. They were able to come within a week of providing the estimate. They worked very efficiently. Nick is a skilled and adept climber; and did a perfect job of removing several very large and dangerous trees. Left a very clean yard afterwards. Other than the missing trees, would not have known they had been there. Excellent company.

Nick and his crew were fantastic!! They removed around 17 trees around my house in nearly a days work. They ran into a small issue with one machine and worked into the night to resolve it so they could finish the job the next day! I was very impressed with the skill of Nick and his crew and I will hire them back to cut more trees down again soon. Nick removed a very large, dead ash tree that was very close to our house. He did an amazing job, he is a master of his craft for sure! He left our yard pristine, cleaned the entire area, even offered to remove our brush pile :) Would highly recommend Nick and he will be our first call for any further tree maintenance.

Nick and his crew did an excellent job clearing out several trees that had extensive damage. After taking the trees down, they cleared the brush and all the vines so we could easily plant grass. Very happy with the job.

Nick was phenomenal. He saved us from a potential accident after a dangerously close tree developed a large split up the middle. He responded quickly and carefully topped and felled the large tree. We have already asked him to return for some other tree work for us. Price was very reasonable!

I have had Nick cut trees on my property 4 times. He is always professional and his prices are very fair. Most important Nick is a cross between an artist and a physicist. Most of the trees he worked on were large dead oak or maple close to my home, barn or power lines or between the power line and the house. . In each instance Nick was able to top the trees, and drop them with an uncanny precision. Many of the trees were well over 150 feet. His ability to climb to the highest reaches and prune the tree was an amazing feat. I can recommend Nick without hesitation.

Nick got a massive, life-saving job done at my rural property, taking down seven hardwood trees (including ash) and almost an acre of invasive plants to which I am highly allergic. He did it quickly, taking just a few weeks for a job other companies told me would take all summer, and for a much better price than anyone else could touch. I have my yard back!

Nick successfully removed a dead ash, with two trunks, which fell and split in two. One section fell on a shed, which Nick removed with ease. The other very large trunk was precariously leaning on a second tree. Not sure how Nick managed, but he removed it with no harm to the living tree. His work was meticulous and precise, with careful and thorough cleanup. The fact that much of his work entails climbing rather than using large machinery results in less damage to surrounding areas. Nick marches to his own drummer and his hours can be unconventional but the work is done on time and promptly!

Nicholas provided a very good service to our home and to another family member property . Patient and his professional attitude made a tough site around structures look easy .

As a horticulturalist & garden director I’ve hired a lot of tree companies over the years, but have never had one that efficiently gets so much done in one day and with such a small crew. For this reason he has always been able to keep his cost below other estimates. Nick is professional, honest, easy to work with, and has always kept to his agreed upon price. I highly recommend him.

Nick and his crew came over at the appointed time, did the work such as pre-cabling the massive tree they were to remove, brought in their equipment without any lawn or shrubbery damage (to my big surprise), and did their work promptly, efficiently and neatly. They cut the tree into smaller pieces for my wood stove, piled the pieces nicely and left on time. I will use them again and am pleased with their work. RHL/Sharon

Our experience with Nick and Housatonic started off well enough. He offered a fair price and was able to start the job within days. It was after the job was done and fully paid for that things went downhill. We still have 8 20' logs in our yard, and the two stumps that were supposed to be ground down below grade level are still there. DO NOT PAY for the complete job until the job is done. He'll have a laundry list of excuses about why he's not able to finish the job. I've never met anyone with more automotive or equipment problems. Find someone else--even if you have to wait.
