Tree reviews in West Suffield, Connecticut

Rick was prompt, honest, and fair. A pleasure to work with. We had two large and complicated pines removed, and Sotil safely and professionally removed. Crew was extremely hard working and then cleaned up like it was their own property. I definitely recommend.

Wow! First time I have contracted for tree services and so glad I called Rick Sotil. Rick was very polite and professional and his crew was a great team to watch as they worked together very efficiently and safely to fell 5 trees. Their use of a crane, bucket truck, bucket loader, large chipper, saws and hand tools was quite expert in taking down trees that were growing over the roof of our house and one poplar about 115 feet tall that would cause significant damage if it were to fall during a storm. All of this work in one day with no damage, a yard left cleaner than before, and many logs stacked where I wanted them, bucked and ready to cut for firewood and lumber. It was especially impressive to watch the delimbing process aloft, with branches dropped safely below in a controlled manner where suitable on the smaller trees and lowered by crane from the tallest trees. Down the road a bit there will be other trees to take down and I will not hesitate to call Sotil Tree Service back again for that work. Thank you Rick and crew.

Save yourself time, money and trouble - just call Rick first. The service was first rate all round. His office staff was amazing. He arrived here for an estimate quickly. Gave me an estimate before he left the house. Was back within a week to do the work. Did all the work in one day. Easy peasy. The price was more than reasonable... seriously, if I had known it would cost this little to remove so many trees I would have called long ago. My yard is immaculate. The crew were professional and friendly... clean, normal guys. I couldn't be happier, nor could I recommend him more highly.

Hired Sotil to take down a very large triple oak tree in my from yard. They did a great job and worked shockingly fast clearly having safety in mind. Great job on clean up as well; if there wasn’t a giant tree missing in my yard I’d barely know they were here.

Rick and his team did an amazing job removing 6 large old white pines on our property today. They had the equipment needed for this big job. The team was efficient, professional and kept us informed about progress. I highly recommend Sotil Tree Service.

Rick and his team did a great job, came on time, performed the work professionally and efficiently. Did a great job cleaning up after all of the work was completed. I've used him multiple times and got the same great service each time. If you need trees taken care of, call Rick.

Rick Sotil and his crew did a great job taking down a large ash tree and pruned a bunch of large trees out front. I changed the plan when the crew arrived and he accommodated with no issues. It ended up being a large project and he left the yard looking clean with minimal damage despite all the work done. I would highly recommend.

Prompt service and price was very fair, workers very knowledgeable, polite and professional. First day I had 13 stumps ground, then topsoil put down and the area seeded. Next day they removed two large maple trees using a crane truck. Impeccable clean up after both jobs. A week later I had Rick and his crew back to remove a large area of invasive bittersweet and autumn olive, as well as the big cedar trees that had been strangled and killed by the invasive vines. Amazing clean up of the entire area. A week later they came back out to remove 12 distressed maple trees between my fence and the roadway. Once again the service was outstanding, with the same great cleanup. I am very pleased with Rick Sotiel and his entire crew - good workers, good people. I highly recommend them.

Rick and his crew did work on 4 trees in my yard that all needed a good pruning. The work was completed in the time frame we first talked about, the cost was the same as the original quote, the trees look great, and all the debris was cleared.

I would call him again if I ever need tree work.

SOTIL Tree service did an excellent job trimming shrubs, cleaning out flower/shrub beds and transplanting a few shrubs for me. The crew was punctual, respectful of my property, friendly and very efficient. I have almost two landscaped acres and they finished the job and cleaned up everything. Highly recommend.

So impressed with Rick Sotil and his team. In less than five hours they removed the 80 foot tree along with other trees and the surrounding growth. They arrived on time with the huge crane, along with all sorts of equipment, and immediately went to work. The team was extremely respectful of the yard and its surroundings. Rick has an amazing knowledgeable approach on how to handle this difficult job, and truly the service you want to choose to get the job done correctly. Many thanks to the Sotil team!

We have used Sotil Tree Service several times. Rick, Cody and crew do a great job. Very easy to deal with, show up on time and do an excellent job cleaning up. Reasonably priced for top notch work.

We are very happy with Rick Soteil and his team. We had a big tree towering over our house which needed to be cut down and several large trees which needed massive limbs removed. Rick and his crew scheduled the work, arrived on a timely basis and got down to business to get the job done. They were the picture of efficiency and it was quite amazing to see how they worked on the trees to improve the appearance of our whole yard. The guys were so polite and the yard was as neat as a pin when they left. We have used Rick's tree business on several occasions and would definitely use them again. I can not recommend them enough. Fantastic service before, during and after the project with great follow through!

Rick is simply the best! Cannot recommend him enough. He treated our yard like it was his own, overdelivered and made us so happy with the results. We have had him work on our yard several times and will be calling him again when we're ready to do more. In addition to the tree work, Rick and his crew fixed our backyard after we had a new septic tank installed. They did an awesome landscaping job. Do yourself a favor and call him today.

After getting numerous quotes and speaking with many of the local recommended tree companies we decided to go with Sotil Tree Service for our large project and we are so happy that we did! Rick came out to quote our job quickly after calling - several other companies wouldn’t come out for weeks. Rick took time to listen to our concerns and examined each tree one by one, giving us his professional assessment. His quote was competitive to others we received and included everything we asked for; tree removal including the brush and debris as well as full stump removal. Rick’s crew came out quickly after we picked them for the job and worked 2 full days removing 5 VERY large trees and stumps from our property. They paid attention to every little detail, worked hard and did such a great job that, when they were done you couldn’t tell there had ever been trees in our yard at all, let alone the five gigantic full-sized monster pine trees that had been there. Finally, in addition to being hard working and great at his job, Rick went above and beyond for us and even offered us great advice on care and maintenance of some of our other trees that weren’t a part of this project. He’s just a fundamentally good guy. We certainly will be using Rick and Sotil Tree Management again in the future and we highly recommend them to anyone with a large-scale tree removal to tackle.

Rick and his crew do fantastic work! We have hired them twice for tree removal, pruning, and stump grinding over the past few years, and have been extremely pleased with the experience. Rick is very responsive and reliable and was able to schedule our most recent job just a few days after providing the quote, which was quite reasonable. He and his crew were very professional and efficient, and generously performed some extra pruning that wasn’t part of the original scope of work. Highly recommended!

The team at Sotil did an excellent job taking care of my tree issues. First, they expertly removed a dead tree that was threatening to fall on my house. Next, they removed the remains of a dead tree and ground its stump in my backyard without causing noticeable damage to my lawn. Finally, they cleared out a section of brush and stumps in my front yard that had suffered from years of neglect and they made it look as if nothing ever happened. All of this work was done before lunch and at a very fair price. Overall, I am very happy with the results and will definitely use them again in the future.

From our first meeting Rick and his entire crew were top notch! They were responsive, friendly and professional. We had 9 very large maple and oak trees that were in close proximity to both power lines and to a neighbor’s fence. Their experience and knowledge got the job done-and without any damage! Our yard was very well taken care of afterwards as well! I highly recommend Sotil Tree Service!

Rick was knowledgeable, professional, timely, and fairly priced. He educated me through the process with our tree work. I highly recommend him and would not hesitate to call again.

Rick Sotil and his company have done tree work at our house several times, this time to remove a tree that had fallen on our barn. As always, a fair price and great job done -- and they are very careful to leave a tidy yard with as little disturbance as possible. I highly recommend!

Shoutout to Sotil Tree Services! They just removed a massive tree that partially fell and hit our house in one of the last storms. They are professional, conscientious, fairly priced and you would never know they were here the way they cleaned up! Highly recommend!!
