Bruce Graver is a true arborist. Him & his team are proffesional, clean, friendly and on time. My tree was removed & they did not leave my yard a mess! My only regret is not calling them sooner!

Graver's Tree Care gave a very good estimate and was responsive to my inquiry in a timely fashion, when other companies did not even call me back. I am happy to recommend Graver's Tree Care for their excellent service.

Six years ago, I employed them to remove a tall tree that was growing between the houses. I was told that I would have to pay for someone to climb the tree and remove branches and segments of the trunk individually due to proximity to the houses, other trees, and my gardens.

I woke up one morning to the roar of a chain saw and the sound of a tree crashing down. It scraped the house, scratched the paint on the gutter, and destroyed about 1/3 of my milkweed bed. I tried to get them to stop trampling my other flower beds but none of the three seemed to be willing to admit that they understood English. The bill did not reflect that they took the cheap route to fell and remove the tree.

The second incident was five years ago when I asked for an estimate about a 70 year-old maple tree that was showing stress on a major limb. It had not yet leafed as the rest of the tree had. He said that the tree had to be removed. He estimated $3000 because they would have to bring in a lift to pass above the house to do the work. A second opinion by a forestry officer, diagnosed by actually climbing the tree to inspect (as opposed from just looking from the driveway) suggested to wait and see.

Each year after that, it had an excellent leaf-out and this year is fully showing red buds of spring.

Nope, skunked twice and Graver is definitely out of my purview.

We just used Graver Tree Care to remove a tree, the stump, and trim another one. Their quote was quite competitive with other companies. They showed up on time, did the work well, left our yard looking neat and clean, came back to grind the stump, and even put a piece of our fence that we had to take down back into place! I highly recommend them.

June 2023 I noticed my magnolia tree looked very sick. I was very concerned the tree was going to die as it had black sick looking dead leaves all over that where falling off. I called graver they came out diagnosed it gave it a systemic injection and sprayed the tree twice withen the month of June. We are now at the end of July and the tree has made a full recovery it looks so full green and healthy. I'm very pleased with the service. Great job! Thanks for saving my magnolia. Def recommend.

We had a couple of dying Ash trees on our property that needed to be removed. After asking for recommendations from friends & Facebook groups, we came up with several suggestions. Graver’s was one of them.
Performing our due diligence, we called 4 companies to come out and estimate the job. Because Graver’s gave us the best price and came with good recommendations, we awarded them the job in July.
When I called to schedule the job, Bruce (who really seemed like a nice guy) said they would be able to get to us in about a month. I said “That’s fine. Just call before you come out.” Having dealt with tree guys before, we know how some of them like to just show up un-announced at 7 am on a Saturday morning and ring the doorbell. Or better yet, just start cutting trees on a day when we’ve made other plans.
A month and a half later, after realizing that we hadn’t heard from them, I called again just to make sure we were still on his schedule. Bruce didn’t remember who we were and eventually told me that they got really busy because of a recent storm that came through. He assured me that he would get to us in another month. I told him that I totally understood emergency jobs should definitely be taken care of before us and said I’d see him in October.
6-7 weeks later, we called him again. Again, it was like he never heard of us. “Who’s this? What town are you in?” Bruce said he’d “definitely” see us in 2 weeks. As always, I said “Great! We’ll make sure we’re here. Just please call to confirm.”
4 weeks later, after not hearing back, we called again. This time Bruce said that for some reason we weren’t in the “pre-storm pile” (the jobs that were booked before the storm), but he would move us there and call us back the next day to schedule a day. By now several storms had come and we were afraid that one of the branches would break off and land in our neighbor’s car. We also knew that winter was coming soon and we weren’t exactly getting the warm fuzzies that the job would ever get done with these guys after chasing them for 5 months. So, 5 days later (after not hearing back AGAIN) we moved to the next company on the list.
They said they could be here in 2 weeks and did just that. We were very lucky to have them available at such short notice. They charged a few hundred dollars more, but they showed up, called first and did a great job. They also picked up 3 more jobs (so far) from my neighbors.
The best part came today. A week after the other company finished the job and over a month since Bruce said he’s call us back “tomorrow”.
A Graver’s truck arrived completely unannounced at 8:20 this rainy December morning looking to “cut the trees”. I'm just sorry I wasn’t here to explain why we went with someone else. My elderly mother who is staying with us, told them that the job was already done. What would have happen if she weren’t here? Would they destroy the lawn using their equipment in the rain while cutting other trees on the property? This is one of the reasons I ask people to call before showing up to do a job. To make sure I am there.
I don’t know why Graver’s pulled our chain for 5 MONTHS and never returned our phone calls. It is a horrible way to run a business. I can only assume they have too many customers and are too busy to acquire new ones.

Their service and speed for removal of two 8-10 foot high rootballs after our tropical windstorm a few weeks back was much appreciated. They provided an honest quote, came promptly and did a great job. We will use them again for our tree needs. Highly recommended.

Needed some tree work done this week. Have a large dying pine and a good sized maple, both near the road. The maple had a split in it about 20 feet up which was getting worse. Both trees were near the road and if the maple broke would have closed the road or worse caused serious physical injury if it fell on a car. Called 8 local companies in the area. Two said they would come by and both were no shows. Spoke with the owner of Gravers and he came by right away. He also felt the maple tree was a priority due to the split and impending bad weather. His crew came by the next day and removed the trees plus another one. Excellent professional crew. The cleanup was great. Have about 15 more trees to take down on the property and I will only use Graver's.

Unlike some of the other tree companies, he charges fair prices without a premium because you live in West Hartford. Responsive, dependable, quality work at a fair and reasonable price.

Solid company with a phenomenal crew that got the job done much quicker and better than Imagined when I contracted with them.
The equipment they used was large and top notch yet very nimble in getting around my property. And they treated my property as if it was their own.
They cut down and cleared 14 trees to the stump within hours. The crew of 5 worked extremely well together and I could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. The end result was far better than I expected.

Excellent service!!! Bruce returned my call immediately, went and look at my mom's tree that fell on her home. Bruce called me back with an estimate and dropped off the estimate at my home. This was a on a Sat. Bruce and his crew were at my moms home Monday AM bright and early. Bruce and his crew completed the job in 2 hours. 5 stars for me. Graver Tree Care came out to provide a quote within 48 hours of me calling them. We had about a dozen trees in different parts of the yard that I had concerns about. The quote broke down the cost each part of the project clearly so that I could make an informed decision about the work I wanted to prioritize and stay within budget.

I made the decision to go with Graver and they had a crew at our house a week later. Due to emergency storm work in other towns and dangerously high temperatures it wound up taking three days total for the work to be completed. They did an excellent job with the stump grinding and cleanup.

By comparison the other tree companies I called either failed to call me back for weeks, canceled their appointment to look at the property hours before arriving, or looked at the property but never got back to me with a quote. I get the sense that there is so much work right now that many of these companies aren't very concerned about turning potential customers off with bad service.

To sum it up, Graver Tree Care was prompt and professional, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Service was so quick - they were in and out of my yard in just a few hours one morning. They showed up and worked on my yard as well as my neighbor's, nice and efficient, and the guys were all friendly and professional. They were ready to answer questions and seemed knowledgeable.

Bruce Graver was up front and honest that he had a lot of jobs to get to, and gave me a reasonable time frame for getting out to us (a coupla weeks).

Very friendly people to speak with and work with. They worked hard to accommodate us as we had another project coming soon and the trees needed to be done before then.
They pruned and eliminated dead wood off of our 3 large silver maples. After the job, you wouldn’t even know they were here as it was all cleaned up so well. Highly recommend them and will use them again.

Fantastic service! Had two huge trees taken down
One was over my shed, which wasn't going to be a challenge. The other had 3 trunks. One over our neighbors fence and the other two. They took these down with ease. Stump grinding was done the day after, they also flattened out the hump. Will call again for the several other trees when I get to it

Bruce and his crew did a phenomenal job on short notice to take down a huge maple tree in my front yard. He is always available for us and we have used him in the past for several decades. We wouldn’t call anyone else have always found both Bruce, his son Alex, and their crews to be very professional. Would highly recommend.

i have Dealt with Bruce for 45 years. i have had him do hundreds of jobs for myself and my customers. the guys do great work, everything is left perfectly trimmed and clean.. the price is always fair for the work.. i currently have him working on 5 jobs for my customers and look forward to many more years working with them.
