Reviews of local pros in Windham, Connecticut

We are happy to refer Josh, Arielle, and their team for tree care and removal services! Very experienced, knowledgeable, and personable. Responsive to emergency tree work and well versed in the industry.

Excellent service- a 5 Star company! We had small holes in our tree. After an evaluation from the arborist, there was no treatment needed and no charge for his evaluation. I cannot believe he didn’t charge for the home visit. I will certainly call this company if I have future tree issue.

I'm satisfied with the work. The crew arrived on time with all equipment ready to do the job. They pointed out a dangerous branch on a dead tree and added it to the work order. The work included extensive trimming and pruning of both woodland oaks and ornamentals. All cuttings were cleaned and chipped. Good job. I would recommend them. I also recommend getting several bids since these services are fairly costly these days.

Oh, man! We've hired several other tree companies in the past but GVT outdoes all of them. The crew worked well as a team. They worked hard and they seemed to enjoy every minute of grinding a stump and planting a gorgeous tree in its place. We watched them measure and re-measure so carefully. We even had some good laughs watching them from the window. What a joy! Thanks for your service and hats off to you, Josh. You run a great company.

Josh and Sarah are great people - totally responsive and knowledgable. The guys showed up on time to trim the tree and did great work right into the dark to make sure the job was done as scheduled. They were polite, professional and safe - highly recommend!

I couldn't believe how quickly and efficiently they removed several huge, dead oaks on my property. Josh was wonderful to work with. He was extremely caring and helpful, he showed up when expected and went above and beyond.
I never thought it could be so easy and stress free. Not only was the service fantastic, their rates are surprisingly reasonable. Definitely will use them again.

We are very happy with the tree work done by Green Valley Tree. They are extremely professional, always clean up after the job and are very dependable. Josh is the best.

I had tree work scheduled for a fast approaching construction project and then the tropical storm hit our area. With much tree service work needed in the whole region I felt my appointment date might be compromised, but Green Valley came through. Their crew, lead by Chris, showed up on time and when I got home from work the yard was spotless, and was even able to squeeze in a last minute request to cut off a "widow maker" courtesy of the recent tropical storm. My mother-in-law noted on my return the team work of Chris's crew, and the respectful interaction she had with them. Green Valley is worthy of 5 stars, they will meet and exceed your expectations for a tree service company.

Over the last three years Josh and the crew of Green Valley Tree have done a splendid job with all of our tree-maintenance and tree-removal issues. They are professional, courteous, and honest--several times telling us that certain "suspect" trees did NOT need to be taken down. Also--it' almost worth the "price of admission" just to watch their new remote-controlled stump grinder do its job. We highly recommend Green Valley

An update to my previous review as I have had another great experience with Green Valley Tree. This time they took down four trees. One of them was in a tight spot near the road and I needed everything cleared away after the tree was taken down. Everything I asked AND MORE was taken care of. I am extremely pleased and grateful. This has solved a long-standing problem with branches dropping on my vehicles and causing damage.

I am just writing to say how very, very pleased I am with the excellent job the team from Green Valley Tree did taking down the two ash trees next to my house today. They exceeded my expectations in every way. The trees were in a place no truck or machinery could access and the ash borers had found them.

It was a tricky job. I had been worried about the trees but also worried about how difficult it might be to take them down. It was amazing to see the climbing process, the placing of ropes, the skillful and precise dropping of tree sections, and the climber swinging from tree to tree to position for the next stage in getting the tree on the ground. It was a very impressive morning’s work and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result.

I just wanted to commend your team (insert exclamation points here) and extend my thanks to everyone at Green Valley Tree. I appreciate your courtesy and professionalism throughout the process and am so very pleased with the job you have done. You have solved a significant problem for me and I am most grateful.

Green Valley Tree crew were very professional and courteous.

I tried calling 6 different companies to remove a tree that had branches hitting my roof above my master bedroom everytime the wind blew (which drove me crazy trying to sleep at night picturing what it was doing to my shingles), only Green Valley Tree and one other company returned my call and the other was a no-show for the appointment to take a look at what was needed. I was shocked to find how difficult it was to get a tree service and wish Green Valley was the first company I found. They were very up front to the timeline they could get there and I sincerely appreciated their honesty.

Green Valley Tree showed up in time for both the consult and for the work.
The crew did a great job removing 2 trees and some limbs on a few other trees that were encroaching the side of my house.

They paid additional attention to make sure the trucks didn't do any damage to my lawn or driveway and cleaned up everything as if they were never there.

I will definitely use them again and will be referring them to friends and family.

Thank you again Green Valley Tree, you saved my roof and my sanity!

Excellent job in taking down 6 trees and more. People at GVT really take pride in their work. Thanks from a repeat customer.

This is the 2nd time we have hired Green Valley Tree. Josh is a true professional and it is really interesting/enjoyable to watch him and his team work. Josh was very responsive from getting us a quote to finishing the job. Would highly recommend Green Valley Tree for any tree cutting services. They have done both tree removal and pruning/trimming services.

I watched Josh climb up the tree and saw it sail over the house, landing softly in the road to be quickly disassembled by the alert crew and dumped into the truck. Each piece, one after the other till all was done. The team also cleaned up all work and adjacent areas on their own, like a “well oiled machine.” The equipment was Impressive, in great condition and the entire process went off without a hitch. I was very pleased with their professionalism and can do attitude. They are very knowledgeable and I plan on referring them to everyone in need of any arbor related needs as they also applied an overgrowth treatment for my lakeside trees. Very satisfied consumer! We highly recommend Green Valley Tree. Josh and his crew did an excellent job planting two very large trees on our property. The crew did a great clean up job and were polite and friendly. Josh is an excellent source for suggestions on what and where to plant shrubs and trees. After planting care has been extremely helpful.

We moved into the home that we had built in 2017. It wasn't long before we noticed that we needed some tree work. We saw a sign for Green Valley Tree and contacted them. We are very glad we did.

Over the past seven years, we have scheduled their service twice a year on average. Green Valley Tree has removed a dead tree, trimmed, fertilized, and kept our remaining trees healthy. The staff that performs these services has aways been courteous and professional, and cleanup has been meticulous. We are pleased to recommend them to our neighbors.

Green Valley Tree expertly dealt with a very dangerous tall oak whose trunk had cracked and was half fallen and hung-up on a nearby tree. The team skillfully and safely brought down the large oak without causing any damage to nearby trees. Great job!

Green Valley Tree is the real deal! Josh set out a plan to care for our trees ~ some of which were in need of some immediate care. Professional, super knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive. We're so happy to have them working with us. Definitely recommend!

Green Valley Tree came out to our property to assist with our Cherry tree that had been stripped of leaves due to tent caterpillars. They treated with fertilizer, etc. and noted that other trees on our property were in danger as well. They are very thorough and took samples of the insect eggs and pointed out the egg casings which I had no idea were even there. I highly recommend Green Valley Tree. They came out right away and were prompt with calling me back.

We used another tree and shrub service for many years. Just happen to have Josh come over to spray a few of our hemlocks a few years ago and after talking with him about his company and services, we made the switch to Green Valley. The difference in service compared to our former company has been night and day. Josh and his employees actually take an interest in the health of our trees and shrubs. They always give us a heads-up when they are coming to work on our property. They show up on time and do the work properly. A special shout out to “Tim.” Hard working and extremely respectful. I would recommend Green Valley to anyone looking for a truly trustworthy and reliable tree service.

Guys did an awesome job. Removed a large dieing Ash tree that was over the house. The guys cut it into firewood size rounds and put them where my wife and I wanted them. I have worked with the company in the past and they have always been great to work with.
