BUYER BEWARE!!! Chobey's removed and replaced my wooden stairs. The stair steps were okay but Chobey used warped and bent wood on the railing balusters which look terrible, cheap and are so badly warped they almost serve no purpose. Due to Chobey's excessive amount of time and significant communication issues that they created, the City of Huntsville had to get involved to get Chobey's on track to finish the job. Chobey's left tons of trash all over the property including plastic tape, nails, rusty used parts -tons of junk was strewn about everywhere. Chobey's has TERRIBLE follow through. I DO NOT recommend this company.

I took on a big project with Andrey. He provided a clear plan and was transparent throughout the whole process. His crew did excellent work. I couldn’t be happier and if I ever build a new home or garage again he’ll be the first contractor I call.

It was a dark storm and hail destroyed our roof. We sought bids for a roof replacement. Having been burned by the builder who built our house, we weren’t drawn to the lowest bidder. We were drawn to the one who was committed to quality and craftsmanship. Chobey was not the lowest bidder but he was the clear choice.
Years later, we had an unfinished space in our house that we elected to leave unfinished because our red bird builder was so terrible. When we decided to finish the space, we didn’t submit bids…we just called Chobey because our prior experience was great.
That was 2 years ago and we have not had any issues with his build, not one. When we moved into our house in 2006, we have had foundation, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues and every encounter is the same. The contractor comes out and says “So we fixed everything and here is what we did…and by the way, who was your builder?” That’s never a good feeling. It’s just good to know that at least 1/4th of our house was built to last for generations and that is the part built by Chobey. Choosing a contractor is hard. But I recommend Chobey Builders with every ounce of my honor. It has always been true…you get what you pay for. With Chobey, you will not be disappointed.

Chobey Builder's have been excellent partners in our ongoing maintenance and extensive renovation projects for our condo association. They have gotten us through issues with both owners and the city inspection process over this past year. They have been one of the most professional general contractors I've personally dealt with in the 20+ years of doing renovation business in this town. Their work is impeccable and we highly recommend them. I am posting this review and have asked other owners who have benefitted from the work accomplished by Chobey Builder's to counter the disparaging and unfounded owner review below. Nobody needs this nonsense, especially the ones trying to be helpful.

When my house burnt down on Christmas of 2022 I interviewed 3 different builders. Chobey Builders stood out as the most professional, capable and trustworthy. They relieved a lot of stress by competently taking charge of removing the remains of the former structure and inspired great confidence with their design for the rebuild and their timeline. The personal care I received during the construction phase was unmatched and the final product exceeded expectations. I couldn't be happier with the results and would eagerly recommend you give Chobey Builders a call for any of your construction needs.

Chobey builders provided an excellent experience for us. Andre (owner) was onsite most days, and he immediately took care of any questions or concerns we had. In addition to the professionalism and expertise, they were able to work with us and help us to get it within our budget. We had other quotes which were lower from less reputable companies, and Chobey builders was able to get very close to the lowest quote. I highly recommend Chobey builders!

I live in Plantation South. My front porch cement slab was separated from the front door threshold. Andrey, his crew worked very hard and fixed the sagging isswhere when it rained, water drained toward the front door, seeping underneath and causing the entire lintel to rot out. Chobey Builders tore it apart, put in all new supports that should have been there in the first place. When it rains, water drains away from the door and foundation, and I now have new slab that is clean and properly level! I would recommend Chobey for any work that you need done.....and DONE ✅️ RIGHT. His crew is great, friendly and respectful but most of all know what they're doing !!! Thank you Chobey Builders.

We utilized Andre Chobey (Chobey's Builders) to complete a remodel on a 70s era ranch style home. Remodel was extensive and complex, requiring good communication with contractors, architect and myself (homeowner). I was very impressed with quality of work that Chobey executed on our remodel. All subcontractors employed by the builder were skilled in their craft and resulted in a successful execution of the project. We are very pleased with the final product and our experience with Chobey's builders. We would utilize them again if we have the need to build/remodel again.

Andrey and his company, Chobey's Builders, rescued us from a builder that was adding a covered, screened porch to our house. That builder was 9 months on the job, not half finished and workmanship was "very poor, unacceptable" according to an architect friend of mine. That builder is no longer in business. Andrey took over the project, replaced the poor work of the other builder at a very reasonable price. He and his company's work was exceptional and top-quality. I can't recommend Chobey's Builders more highly.

Andrey Chobey and his team are our 'go to' for remodeling and home improvement! We have worked with Chobey's Builders on two major renovation projects and are soon to embark on another big project together. Andrey's commitment to quality, professional delivery, and admirable ways of solving any problem (they do happen when remodeling homes!) is more than we could ask for. Pricing is also very reasonable- he offers options and that is appreciated. The finished projects have always surpassed our expectations! Creativity and dedication to customer satisfaction is also something we know we can expect from each one of his professional tradesmen. Need a reputable, reliable, professional builder? Andrey's team is our only choice!

Chobey's Builders completed a foundation-up custom remodel and enlarging of our home in 2017. This was a complex project that required flexibility and creativity and Andrey and his team worked closely with us every step of the way. We are very happy with the quality of the work, even now almost 8 years later. A couple of small items have come up since our home was completed and Andrey has been quick to fix the issue, even when he was not obligated to. This is a sign that he stands by his work and truly values his customers. The price per square foot of the remodel was also significantly lower than any other builder we met with. Bottom line, I highly recommend Chobey's Builders.

Update: I can no longer give the highest praise for Andrey Chobey after his unforeseen cease in communication and abandonment of a 6-month long project, fraught with stress. It pains me to say that I no longer have the confidence in consistent quality of workmanship and clear communication to recommend Chobey Builders.

Chobey did a remodel for me and it was exactly what we wanted. His tile team has no equal. They worked on our schedule and made sure we were happy with all the small details before each step was started.

They started on a Wednesday and finished that Saturday. The crew was focused, quick, kept the area clean and clear as they worked and were very professional. They Done Good! There are the four roof lines (shown in the photos) that were worked and fully replaced to include four eye-lashes, the one cupola, in the photo, and the cricket on the chimney. Yeah, I do highly recommend them. ( -:
