I have now tried following up 5 different times to get a quote for a retaining wall in my backyard. Each time was told I would be called back that day. Nope. Someone came out 6/2 to look at the scope of the job, it’s now 6/19 and NOTHING. This to me speaks volumes on how responsive and attentive they are with their work, so I recommend looking elsewhere.

It’s not letting me reply to Greg’s comment so I’ll try editing! Now I do understand that, however I think there is a miscommunication happening because every time I’ve called I’ve talked to Erica. The first of 5 times I called, she told me that they were waiting to hear from your deck person. The second time I called, the deck person still hadn’t gotten back to you. The third time I called I voiced that I had some changes and wanted to touch base, AND my frustration that I’ve followed up every single time and no one has called me as I was told would happen. The fourth time (yesterday) Erica was surprised that I wanted my quotes separately because Sean (which I’m confused who this Sean person is) told her that he was making one single estimate and that’s what the holdup was. I also voiced that I wanted to clarify my project estimate to make sure we were on the same page. We agreed I’d likely get a call back around 3pm. That didn’t happen. Today (5th time), no one answered when I wanted to touch base.

Now I see that you wrote the office has been very responsive… they were responsive in answering my calls, sure. But I would not say they’ve been communicative because I should not have called 5 separate times, promised call backs that never happened, nor have been waiting to hear anything since June 2 when it is June 19.

Arborvine just completed a hardscaping project at my home that involved the installation of a new brick walkway and lighted pillars. The owner, Greg, was very responsive and easy to work with. His crew was excellent -- hardworking, detailed and collaborative. Everyone at Arborvine wanted to make sure we were happy. We are thrilled with the result and have received so many compliments from our neighbors.

Arborvine listens to what you need done and provides a beautiful result over and above expectations. They are pleasant to work with. Angel and his coworker were fabulous and careful. We had a great experience with Arborvine. From the detailed suggestions we got from Kathy on what solutions would work best for what we needed, to Angel who worked so hard in our yard, to Erica in the office who made our project plan invoice quickly & easy to review, sign off on and pay. It was convenient, detailed & professional. Exactly what we had hoped for. Our yard is now well on its way to looking the way we’d like. I would highly recommend Arborvine if you want a personalized & professional landscaping job done. Big or small, they will be able to take care of what you need. We’ll be back for sure for the next phase!

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Arborvine! Everything went better than I could have asked for from the quote to the final touches. Kathy was so easy to work with, and the choices she made were exactly what I was looking for without really being able to fully explain what types of shrubs I wanted. She got it perfect on the first try! Even better was the fact that the crew that came out to work on our yard were such great people. They were so friendly at every interaction, and honestly, working with the team again, I'd be interested in specifically requesting that they be the ones to do the next phase!

We got quotes on three separate projects from Kathy, prices fit our budget nicely and it didn't feel like we were skipping anything to save on cost. Overall, I'm feeling pretty excited for when we move on to the next project!

We had drainage issues in our backyard, Greg and his team delivered all across the board. Great communication, easy to work with and they fixed the issues without any hiccups. We have recommended them to family and friends and will continue to do so.

Greg and his team did an outstanding job for our daycare center in Wilmington, DE. From start to finish, they were professional, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. The transformation of our kids' playground is incredible — it looks fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend their services!

We moved into a home that had not been upgraded outside and was in need of new landscaping. We wanted to add an outdoor kitchen as well for our anniversary. The work in the front of the house and also the outdoor patio and kitchen were higher than our expectations. Also we had a hiccup with one of the areas in the backyard and this team came to our rescue and not only fixed it but made our backyard an oasis now. Love the work that was done. We are keeping them for our maintenance. People are stopping us and praising the front of the house upgrade. Highly Recommend

Dealing with Greg was excellent. The contract was detailed and every detail was fulfilled. I appreciated the communication as every text with a question had a very quick response. As for his crew that did the work, they were such hard workers. Showed up on time for work and I’m very pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend Arborvine Landscaping.

We spent close to $4K for the installation of new plants, yard clean up and drainage issues. The plants that were installed died within days (see pictures). We notified the owner immediately and asked that he come and take a look at the dead plants. The owner refused to come to our house and instead told us to purchase miracle grow. At the time we had one more payment for the job but wanted to hold off until the work was done properly. The owner pressured us to send in the final payment (with the promise to rectify the situation) - so despite hesitation we made the final payment. We hired this company because they are supposed to have plant experts on staff. What happens in actuality is that the plant experts meet with you and sell you the service but those “experts” are not on hand for the actual work. They are also not on hand if you have any problems. For the record, we attempted to work things out with the owner for months before posting this negative review.

RESPONSE - We did water the plants as instructed and we had a house sitter water the plants while we were on vacation. The plants were dead days after installation and we asked you to come see them and you refused. Pointing to fine print is what companies do when they can’t stand behind their work. And no need to email you since you don’t respond. You never closed the loop as promised and didn’t respond to my last email from several weeks ago.

These guys are great and really know their stuff. First off the provided a very detailed proposal with a clear plan that was easy to understand and showed they knew exactly what the project needed in concrete terms… including a list of itemized supplies needed. They were able to come sooner than anticipated even having their schedule pushed back with all the recent rain. Their employees were all super friendly and knowledgeable and worked very hard under very hot conditions to knock out the job correctly and in a timely fashion. They also provided detailed maintenance instructions for watering (sod and plant) and drainage system. Correspondence and communication top notch with personal emails sent with updates on progress. Highly recommend and will be using them again for future projects.

Great company, we have been using them for a few years now on a few different projects along with your typical mulching and yard clean ups. The owner Greg was very easy to work with and the office staff is great. On our most recent project we had the pleasure of working with the foreman by the name of Alex who was great and took great pride in his work. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a landscaping company in the future.

We have used Arborvine for several years and they have a great team. We have one of the best yards and outdoor spaces in the neighborhood thanks to them. Erica is very responsive and helpful, and Greg, the owner, is attentive and always willing to discuss whatever comes up. Special shout out to Angel and Nathan who put down our mulch and did our landscaping bed clean up recently - they paid much attention to detail and did an amazing job!

Arborvine did a beautiful job on my front flower beds. I am not a gardener and for years left them alone. I called Arborvine to come take a look and everyone was fantastic from the start. Kathy listened to what I wanted and designed a beautiful plan for me and Pedro and Alex executed it beautifully! I highly recommend them!

Greg and the Arborvine crew did an excellent job on design-build project for us late last year. We had steps added from our raised patio to our back yard. They added a planting area near the driveway, bluestone steps, boulders, shrubs on the side, riverrock borders, smaller riverrock under the patio (which looks great now instead of a mud hole), and made it all look perfect. What really impressed me was the response time on questions and changes before any money changed hands, AND the ease at which changes were accommodated during and near the end of the project. I've seen some contractors take a week or more to return email/calls, but Greg was nearly immediate! Highly recommended and I'd use Arborvine again in a heartbeat - without getting other quotes!

My property had a serious drainage problem and Arborvine Landscaping created a beautiful swale that is sure to solve the isssue. Additionally they planted some gorgeous native plants in a freshly created bed. The transformation is amazing!!

We had our front lawn stripped and reseeded. Greg was easy to communicate with, his estimate was thorough, and scheduling worked out well. Pedro and Alex carefully stripped all the weeds, tilled the space and spread high quality topsoil then seed. They were excellent and careful workers. They do a first class job.

Arborvine designed and constructed a new front stoop with two steps and a walkway from the driveway. They gave excellent advice and helped us select materials that would look nice and function well. They have a good aesthetic sense -- the new hardscaping is pleasing to the eye. They were careful with existing plantings and repaired or replaced them as needed. They are very friendly and professional.
