We used Home Drywall & Painting for our drywall install and repair project, specifically garage. Brad, a Project Manager, came out to our site and provide a fair and reasonable quote for service in a very timely fashion. Communication with Brad and the company was very responsive at all times. Being a busy time for them, we always felt appreciated as customers, understood, and knew what was going on with our project. The repairs they did were done well. Previous drywall was not maintained, but they made it look fresh again (*before we painted - we choose to paint ourselves). It's a garage and will be used as such, but the work they did makes it feel like it could be used for so much more!

I decided for my small kitchen remodel. I wanted to be my own contractor. I contacted Chris Kolbe at home Dry Wall and Painting.
We set up an appointment and met at my house. I told him what I’d like to do. He asked the right questions. He answered my questions and he was able to put a bid together for me. From start to finish he kept in contact and I couldn’t be happier with the results. his crew was great cleaned up after themselves and we’re very courteous and friendly. There was a giant hole in my ceiling that I asked them to patch and match the surrounding ceiling. It took a few trips, but they were patient with me and the end result looks great.

Great experience! We needed renovation of our ceiling in a condo. Original ceiling was rather poorly done, and prior owner had done some obvious patching. Also had some water stains. Home Drywall and Painting gave us a reasonable cost estimate. They did a fantastic job and completed the job within the promised time frame. Couldn't be better!

I called the company to get an estimate for 2 projects....hole in wall and peeling ceiling in bathroom. The company sent Brad (estimator) to my home the next day. Brad reviewed the work that needed to be done and sent me an estimate the same day. I agreed and a schedule was set up for the work to be done. Dave is the person who actually fixed the hole in the wall (drywall 2' x 2') and redid the bathroom ceiling. The work was done to perfection. The project extended over a 3 day period and Dave showed up on time every day and performed the tasks needed for that day. They are a great team and I am so pleased with everything. I will call this company again and ask for Brad and Dave.

Home Drywall is among the best in the business! They truly take care of their clients and supply the best options for each project. Branden & Gerid are professional and really know how to meet the moment and come through with quick solutions. I look forward to working with them on the next project.

Gerid and has team did a great job with my popcorn removal ceilings! So much so I had him come back to do some door and trim work! A+ rating!

I had a sizable kitchen and dining room ceiling project involving removing cove/lath/plaster and then repairing the ceiling and adjacent upper walls. I was so impressed by Jorge and team in how it was completed and was glad that I went with this company. Jorge was the project manager / supervisor and he came out to my house numerous times to check on the 4 day project. Gustavo and Alex were the contractors working on the project and they did a wonderful job and I am so pleased with the result.
Points to note:
1. They showed up on time, every day.
2. The whole team was courteous, hardworking, and professional; I was very comfortable having them in my house when I had to leave for work.
3. They were very efficient and completed the project right on schedule.
4. They were respectful of my space and left it clean.
5. The estimate was consistent with the final invoice- there were no surprise costs at the end.
6. I wasn’t sure what texture I wanted to do on the ceiling and what would match the rest of my 1960’s home, and so they made samples of multiple ceiling textures and let me decide (I ended up changing my mind at one point and was grateful that they made the samples!)

I have attached one before and two after photos- keep in mind that the camera on my phone isn’t great, but in person the ceiling is even, consistent texture with a pure ceiling white throughout. I would recommend Home Drywall and Painting to anyone and would be happy to use them in my future projects. Thank you Gustavo, Alex, and Jorge!

Home Drywall and Painting did a great job finishing our basement drywall installation and finishing. The price was reasonable and work was completed in a timely manner with professional communication and updates along the way.

I would highly recommend Home Drywall and Painting. We had them out to do sound dampening work on our bedroom wall. Gerid provided us with a thorough estimate that gave us several options of service so we could choose one that fit our budget. The prices offered were fair and more affordable than we expected. The work was completed on time and every worker that came into our house was polite, professional and hard working. Gerid and his team were quick to answer any questions that came up. The work they did solved our problem and now we have a quiet bedroom! I will not hesitate to contact them if we need more work done in the future.

Gerid was great to work with as well as his team members. They arrived on time and completely prepped the area to begin their work. Gerid was very flexible fitting us in for paint on our walls after just getting our popcorn ceilings removed and painted. Our ceiling and walls look amazing! So happy and would totally call them again

Updated post: I’m updating my review to reflect the customer service I received after my original post in late 2025. Within a few days of posting, I heard from Adam who reached out to address my concerns and expressed the desire to make everything right. Within a week or so, he had come out to our house to review my feedback in person and took pictures to document what needed fixing. There was no argument about what we considered unfinished or poorly executed and Adam wasted no time and scheduling a crew to come out. I am honestly shocked at the level of customer service we received, especially considering my initial review was a year after the work was completed. Everything on our “list” was addressed/fixed and looks great. I would recommend Home Drywall to anyone based on customer service alone.

Original post: <3 stars> We worked with Adam in 2024 and had a good experience with him as a representative of Home Drywall, but we were not impressed with the subcontractors they work with who painted our kitchen. They were careless with our property, reinstalling exterior doors and storm doors incorrectly, which has led to problems after the fact. Additionally, they painted over our door hinges and tried to cut corners by not taking the paint all the way to our baseboards and ceiling, hoping to get away with it due to the new color being similar to the old. We noticed an area where this was the case before the project was closed out and brought it to Adam’s attention. He immediately took care of our concern by having the subs come back and repaint the wall. Great customer service from him. However, as the natural light in our space has changed throughout the year, we’ve noticed this same problem on several walls. I fully trust that if we had noticed this issue all at once, it would have been remedied by Home Drywall, but unfortunately it wasn’t and now we have an almost complete paint job. I wish I could separate my impression of Home Drywall from their subs, but in this business the subs represent your company, which is unfortunate if they don’t have the same level of care and attention to detail as you’d expect from employees.

After a slightly rocky start with scheduling our initial consult appt, Adam went above and beyond to work with us and our project, coordinating weather, simultaneous construction and services, and got the job done quickly communicating and following up with us throughout. The crew was clean, thorough and the work was well done, it looks great! Glad we found Home Drywall for our insulation and drywall needs.

We had a few recessed light fixtures reduced in size and a crack in our wall repaired. Our man did a perfect job of replacing drywall, applying texture, painting and cleaning up. I would definitely have him come back for future repairs or renovations.

After many years in the planning stage, I finally was ready to get my basement finished. Since I like to support local businesses, I contacted Home Drywall and Painting located 3.5 miles away for an estimate and got on their schedule within a few days. Gerid, who has spent many years installing drywall and running a crew, came out for a site visit and shared a lot of good ideas for my space, including sound proofing with mineral wool. He inquired about my exterior wall insulation plans and said they offer spray foam insulation. Unfortunately, I’d already contracted with another company. In retrospect, I wish I’d met Gerid before that because I probably would’ve even gotten a better job done, especially as it comes to protecting surfaces from overspray, e.g., tub/shower. I’m still trying to figure out how to get it off! Even though my basement still looked like a big storage unit during his initial site visit, Gerid saw past all that and expressed a genuine interest in my project. It was his personal touch right from the start that set Home Drywall and Painting apart. In addition, his quote for drywall and priming was reasonable and almost exactly the same as another company’s who I’d also been very impressed with. I truly agonized over drywall installer to go with. Mainly, I chose Home Drywall and Painting because they offered both drywall and painting. I had one less contractor to find. When it was time to get the project underway, Gerid was regularly in contact with me and stopped by for a couple site visits. He carefully inspected the entire space and made additional design recommendations, e.g., moving the A/C line set out of the way for aesthetics and moving the furnace air intake pipe to create a much narrower soffit. Although I’m a fan of popcorn ceilings and have them throughout the rest of my home, he made the case for smooth ceilings especially in the bathroom and finally throughout the basement. He advised against only drywall on ledges and window sills because they would eventually get damaged from stuff set on them. He suggested using 1” oak boards with shoe moulding on the underside edge for a professional finish and offered to stain and varnish them to match the trim and doors. In preparation for hanging the drywall, he made sure the framing was optimal and requested framing adjustments as needed to ensure that all framing was plumb, level and in place, e.g., backer boards. He was on site for all phases of the project making sure all work was completed to his expectations. During the drywall phase a plumbing leak was detected that had been around for years. He advised me on how to clean out and reinsulate the cavity once the plumbing was repaired and then hung specialized drywall to match the existing. He also had his crew remove large chunks of spray foam overspray from existing drywall so it could be primed. He advised me to frequently change my furnace filter due to drywall dust and keep my dehumidifier going to reduce humidity from taping. When his team finished sanding he carefully inspected and advised his crew on anything that needed touching up. He explained that painting would be one of the very last steps so they can repair any damage to drywalled/primed surfaces during installation of cabinets, countertops, doors, trim, flooring and electrical. I’m looking forward to having Gerid and his crew here for repairs and painting in a couple weeks!

I recently hired Home Drywall and Painting for a drywall project with a very tight turnaround, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Gerid Deason responded quickly and took on the job knowing the timeline was short.

The scope included replacing drywall and taping to both a Level 2 and Level 5 finish to prepare for painting and cabinet installation within a week. Not only was the work completed on time—it was finished several days ahead of schedule.

The quality exceeded our expectations. Everything was done exactly as requested, the new surfaces were properly primed and ready for immediate painting, and all debris was removed. Their professionalism and attention to detail made the follow-on work smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend them for any drywall or painting needs.

After my first contractor jerked me around for 2 weeks w/ excuses, the team at Home Drywall & Painting became my Plan B. For my garage ceiling drywall repair project, Jessica took my call, sent me a proposal and had me booked next day. Adam had his team dispatched and they finished in about 3.5 hours. They had one hiccup during install, but they resolved the issue and made it right. Everyone was respectful and polite. The end price was exactly what I was quoted. Happy to recommend. The workers were doing heroin in my front lot. Plus I had several pieces of my property come up missing. Not at all recommend

The work preformed was of below average quality. I would not recommend hiring this contractor. This contractor did a sub standard "patch job", instead of a professional repair that required full replacement to match.

This contractor did not have his own equipment to complete the job and required the use of my ladder to complete. In hindsight this was the first red flag.

I called to try and resolve the issue with the contractor and was given excuses and an argument. Money was not so much the issue, more so that this contractor could not recognize that the repair he completed was not acceptable or aesthetically pleasing. Either he does not take pride in his work, or he just wanted a quick paycheck.

Unable to rectify the issue he was paid the original fee, that he "worked hours on preparing paperwork contracts." I asked him to never return to my property.

If you take pride in your home and are looking for an experienced and professional contractor, look elsewhere.
