We recently hired Ryan (Riggins Construction) to install railings in our home, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional.

The quality of the railing installation was outstanding. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the work. The materials used were top-notch, and the final product exceeded our expectations.

The team was highly professional throughout the entire process. They communicated clearly and promptly, keeping us informed about the progress and any necessary adjustments. We appreciated their transparency and willingness to answer all of our questions.

Punctuality was another strong point. The team arrived on time every day and completed the project within the agreed-upon timeline. Their efficiency did not compromise the quality of work, which is a testament to their expertise and dedication.

Overall, Ryan provided an exceptional service that transformed our space beautifully. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality railing installation and professional service.

Ryan and the Riggins Construction team went above and beyond to design custom gates for us and enclose our yard. Ryan is extremely professional, considerate, and straightforward. The suggestions that he made allowed us to have maximum clearance from a height and width standpoint, and the style compliments our home and aesthetic perfectly. His pricing is more than fair and he completed the work on budget and one week ahead of schedule. Ryan even successfully negotiated using part of our neighbor's yard for our gate support! Our neighbor was so impressed with his quality and workmanship that she plans to hire him to re-do her fence and deck.
We couldn't be happier with our experience and enthusiastically recommend Ryan and Riggins Construction.

Ryan and his team put in a beautiful fence at our house. Everything was done at the highest quality. He was behind schedule starting our project but threw in a few extras to make up for it.

I contacted Ryan to make adjustments and fixes to a fence that was incorrectly installed by a friend in construction. This was not an easy job to tackle.

Working with Riggins Construction was a very positive experience. The owner maintains consistent communication up until completion. The final product was impressive and he ensured we were happy with the progress many times along the way.

Ryan operates his business with a high level of professionalism and care. He and his crew are willing to put in the extra effort.

This guy hired us to fix his hvac system. He was completely nice until we gave him the bill. We spent 7 hours cutting his overgrown bushes back on his heat pump that hadn’t ran in 3 years. He then called crying about how he was poor and his wife was only working part time as a teacher. We felt sorry for him and decided to cut him a break. On top of cutting his bill in half he then had his lawyer call us and tried bullying us into paying even less. His own lawyer told us he would probably stop representing him with these petty matters due to the frequency in which he was bringing him stupid cases to help him get out of the problems he was creating. Then he started crying and trying to get out of paying taxes for his bill because he was struggling to make ends meet. His lawyer further advised him he had to pay taxes. After it all he pulls up in a flashy 150k truck with gangster wheels making jokes about our small shop when handing me his payment. This guy is off the wall and even paid for person services with a company check. He’s a crooked human and his hvac system showed signs of severe neglect. The previous job he tried to swindle us into doing for him was reinstalling a 35 year old air handler in his garage. Stay clear of this company if it operates however he represents it. What a mess.

We worked with Ryan directly on replacing an existing fence gate with a wider, stronger fence-gate equipped with a keypad deadbolt. Throughout the process, Ryan helped educate us on the positives and negatives of, as well as what was needed to use a deadbolt or latchbolt in our install. Ryan's craftsmanship is second to none, and he also addressed some damage to one of the posts that was caused by a storm a few years ago. We're very happy with the results of our project!

Ryan and crew did a great job on a railing for our steep driveway. Very prompt and even worked on a National holiday without additional charges to complete the job in a timely manner. We have received numerous compliments on the railing, and requests for contact information for Riggins Construction. Would definitely hire them again.

We would highly recommend Riggins Construction. We were looking to have a small ground-level deck built on top of a concrete slab porch. We initially planned on composite, but after seeing how beautiful Ryan's prior work with ipe hardwood was, we knew it would be a mistake to go with anything else. We are extremely happy with the result.

Ryan was friendly and responsive and easy to communicate with. After finishing another job ahead of schedule, he offered to come out early and build the deck well before the contract required. Despite not having his full crew, the entire project was completed in two days. He texted to notify me whenever they entered or left the site.

Ryan was careful to understand our goals and was able to adapt the design to accommodate them (for example, lowering the height to avoid the need for a railing, extending the deck around the existing columns, and building over a raised concrete step with clever framing to avoid the need to demo it). As I observed the work in progress and he explained what he was doing, it was clear that he has very high standards of quality and craftsmanship. And the result is just beautiful.

He mentioned that he does all sorts of general contracting work in addition to decks and fences, so I expect we will be repeat customers if we have any further work to be done in the future.

We couldn't be more thrilled with the outdoor patio and retaining wall project that Ryan and his team from Riggins Construction completed for us. Despite the challenges of Seattle's fall weather, Ryan ensured that the entire process was as smooth as possible. From the initial consultation, Ryan's expertise shone through as he presented creative ideas that perfectly complemented our unique outdoor space. His knowledge and experience were evident every step of the way, making us feel confident in his abilities.

The end result speaks for itself – our backyard is now transformed into a stunning extension of our home that exceeds our expectations. Ryan's attention to detail and dedication to delivering quality work are truly commendable. We couldn't be happier with the final project, and we highly recommend Ryan and Riggins Construction to anyone looking to enhance their outdoor space.

Very professional and customer oriented, I highly recommend Riggins Construction.

We needed a fence for our front yard. It was important to us that the fence would fit nicely with the design of the house and that the color of the fence matches the house siding. Ryan and his team did a great job to meet and exceed our expectations. We love our new fence! Ryan made sure that the material and the color of the fence was what we expected. He hand selected each wood panel for the fence and you can see in the pictures that it payed off. He also delivered an outstanding paint job, making sure that everything looked neat and clean afterwards. We would hire him again any time.

Excellence. Ryan took the job that no one else wanted and delivered a very clean, professional product.

He installed 2 fences - one with a wide gate and arbor. They both look beautiful and were constructed from cedar. Both are sturdy, tall, and provide tremendous privacy for the property. I'm exceptionally happy with the fences.

He also replaced my deck treads (flooring), fascia, rails, and rebuilt my stairs to code. My deck was experiencing rot in some areas, and faced upgrade challenges due to the code infractions - the wood required annual TLC. With the Azek treads and alum railing, I'm maintenance free and will maintain a beautiful deck all year with no efforts. I did a lot of research and the composite treading make a lot of sense in the PNW.

Ryan is a nice guy, running a small business with a small crew, who offers a quality, genuine product. They tidied their equipment up daily and shop vac'd debris. The crew was very polite. I'd recommend Riggins and have their number saved.

EDIT: We brought Ryan back for two more jobs since the deck and initial fence work! Review below.

Ryan and his crew excavated my yard and installed beautiful artificial grass to replace my since-October mud pit (re: high-energy dog + soft ground + rain = disaster). We used Riggins prior to replace the majority of our deck last summer and to put in some fencing. We brought them back again this past winter to finish the remaining fence work and were again impressed with the quality, lack of mess, and friendliness of the crew.

These guys started on a Tuesday and were done with everything by Friday - which included entirely moving and rebuilding our small retaining wall.

It's been a few weeks now and we've had an INSANE amount of rain. I really thought that I just had to expect some sort of water with that much rain.. but NOPE. Nothing. No standing, no puddles, nothing - it all drains perfectly. The grass itself is beautiful and exactly what I needed. My 70lb pup tears around all over it and doesn't lift it up, doesn't destroy it, etc. This is exactly what was needed to keep manage the pup's energy levels during the winter rain, and to allow us to have a usable yard year-round. The grass was locally sourced and is a good 1.25-1.5" deep and looks real enough. This is probably obvious, but I'll address it - when you stand on or touch it - you can tell it is not real.

I also must say that these guys cut the grass perfectly to fit the yard - perfectly. You can see it in the pictures how closely it lines up with the edges of the grass space. Excellent work guys!

We had the pleasure of working with Ryan and his employees to install two 10 ft. x 20 ft. decks, border stones around our lawn, and a pathway of pavers leading from the entrance of our backyard to one of the decks. When Ryan arrived on site, he studied our space and took copious notes as he carefully measured everything out. He provided a variety of options for how he could go about the project based on the budget we provided.

Then Ryan walked us through each step of the project and helped us visualize and choose the right materials, colors, and features that would tie everything in our yard nicely. He even added some finishing touches to elevate the beauty and design of our space at no extra cost. All the while, his crew was hard at work executing on the vision for the project day in and day out. His employee Juan, especially, showed utmost enthusiasm.

Juan's dedication to his craft was apparent, and his attention to detail was outstanding. He ensured each piece of material was cut to exact specifications and each nail and board was perfectly aligned. He was the first to arrive each morning, and the last to leave at the end of each day.

Ryan was communicative all throughout the process and updated us when he anticipated our project completion date would shift due to factors outside of his control like material delivery delays and such. He was always honest with us, which helped us manage our expectations.

Riggins Construction delivered a modern and spacious yard that we will enjoy for years to come. It was better than what we could have ever imagined. We would happily recommend him and his team to anyone!

I worked with Riggins Construction (Ryan is the owner) to build a carport for my new home. After explaining the multi-purpose of the addition, Ryan helped with design and functionality of the project. I had three contractors provide estimates and although Ryan was not the cheapest, I gathered he was both very skilled and honest. I wanted to support a locally owned business and decided to go with Ryan. As I mentioned, Ryan is very honest and he informed me his projects tend to run plus/minus a week when it comes to timeline and that was true for my project. This wasn't a big deal, especially considering the fact that I was forewarned. I believe this is just part of working with a small construction business in Seattle in 2023. Either way, Ryan had excellent communication throughout, providing pictures and videos of the progress being that I was out of town for much of the project. I'm very satisfied with the overall result/quality/attention to detail and have already coordinated with Ryan for future projects.

Ryan and his crew did an excellent job replacing our 40 year-old fence. They worked efficiently, used excellent materials and were an all round pleasure to work with. Ryan was even able to help us out with a retaining wall repair. Highly recommended.

I took a chance on Riggins Construction for a recent fence project. It couldn’t have worked out better. After contacting Riggins and requesting a quote, Ryan was very responsive. We met to discuss project scope, my basic design requirements, timeline, and budget. Ryan listened and offered several key suggestions (including some material upgrades) that I feel raised the project to a higher level. I didn’t want the basic ‘ cookie cutter’ look marketed by some of the larger fence installers. What I got was the more modern, clean and custom look I was hoping for. I would definitely use Riggins again.

    Gorgeous work, worth the wait

Ryan replaced my fence and deck, installed some very sturdy arbors, and rebuilt my porch so our basement wouldn't leak every winter. The results are jaw droppingly gorgeous. He was incredibly responsive and ensured his crew did lovely work (he even made the crew replace a few boards here and there when they weren't up to his exacting standards). He also takes pains to hire good people -- all of the guys were very polite, hard working, and good humored. Between a cramped worksite, awkwardly placed landscaping, and an inquisitive 6 year old, I didn't have the easiest site to work on but I loved how careful they were with my plants and how patiently they answered my son's (and often my) questions.

Full disclosure, there were some delivery issues, a patch of bad weather, and some staffing shortages here and there that added a few frustrating weeks to our timelines. That's often the nature of construction, and not something Ryan could control, despite his best efforts. But throughout, Ryan was very communicative about what was happening and, importantly, the end result was very worth the wait.

Ryan is not the cheapest or the fastest, but he knows what he's doing, does great work, and is good people. I'd happily work with him again and would absolutely recommend him.

Worked with Riggins Construction just last month. After a wind storm and snowstorm our fence was in a bad way.

Ryan came out quickly, did a free appraisal and offered a fair price, we signed the agreement then and there and I put down the down payment. He said he would likely not be able to start for 10-14 days and was an active communicator. He wrote back less than a week later to tell me the materials were in and he could start whenever we were ready.

The crew came out, demoed the prior fence and got the new one up quickly, and it's beautiful! During the construction they were all courteous and attentive and kept the site very clean in between days.

I'll definitely call Ryan (the owner) in the future for any other work I need done.

    Thanks Ryan!

If you are doing deck repair/installation Ryan’s team is the best. He is very responsive from the beginning and gave a competitive quote, I found out later in lumber store that his quote is actually the most competitive one, as he’s quoting with best brand and colors in the line as default.

On projects day Ryan and his team is super responsive and respective to my place, shoes off whenever in house, not even a tiny scratch on the wall or anywhere as they hand held and lifted each plank like a baby with two people holding each end, they did this with all the planks maybe twenty of them or more, and my townhouse top deck is on fourth floor! I worked with contractors teams on kitchens and yards before and I have not seen a team like this, with both quality and efficiency. I hope all the contractor teams are like this and any house project will be a delight. After project finished they helped cleaned up everything and no trace, I got back home and found my house is cleaner than pre project 😂

The finished deck is amazing! So beautiful that it pops the bay view so much more. Had my neighbors checked my deck and they got wowed too. Love the deck so much, highly recommend Riggins for any deck work. Thanks for all the hard work!

Ryan gave us a competitive quote for the tear down and rebuild of our backyard deck. During the process of working out the contract he provided valuable feedback and stood out as the most responsive and collaborative of the contractors we spoke with.

Throughout the build, he frequently ran questions by us so there were never any surprises. Two notable change orders came up: one structural from him due to differences between the plans and site conditions and one from us to accommodate requested material and aesthetic changes.

Ryan clearly takes great pride in his work and doesn't skimp on build materials or craftsmanship. The city inspector called out stuff like the use of hurricane ties and concrete foundation for the ground level step as things that go beyond what's required by code.

The only downside was the project took a little longer than expected. This was due to a mix of permitting related delays on our side, overlapping projects on his, and some material wait times. In the end though, not a big deal considering the fantastic end result!

Ryan and his crew tore down and rebuilt the front porch of our house, and the whole experience was great. He made adjustments along the way, asked our opinions, and gave us his expertise. The crew was great and worked hard. It was easy to communicate with Ryan, and he kept us up-to-date as schedules shifted around for the weather and other surprises.

The quote was competitive, and the work was high quality.

    I highly recommend them.
