Fence Contractor reviews across the US

We got a new puppy for Christmas and really needed a fence to keep him in our back yard. I contacted Jose. He came out the next day and gave us a quote. The Town of Garner was very helpful in approving the permit for the fence right away. We accepted Jose's quote and he came out on Tuesday to pick up the downpayment. He said that he would order the materials and be here on Friday for the install. He said it would take 2 days for the installation. He got here at 8:00 AM on Friday and by 5:00 PM the fence was installed and everything was cleaned up. The job was finished in just one day! The fence looks great! We have a lot of trees and bushes in our yard. The crew was very careful with our bushes and only had to trim a few of the bushes and trees. We are very pleased with how the fence looks, the workmanship, the time the whole process took (all during the holidays) and the cleanup. I highly recommend Affordable Fences and Decks, Inc.

Jose and his team did an amazing job on my fence and deck extension. Just like the website stated, I told them my budget and they made it happen for LESS actually. Jose and Melanie were both so helpful in answering my questions along the way and explained the process in great detail. Jose even came back after the job was complete to touch up a few places that were missed when staining. My only complaint is I wish they would have sanded my original deck before staining. It would have helped everything look more seamless and even.

Jose and his crew were incredibly fast with our deck build. They did a great job and we love enjoying time outside on it now. Would highly recommend!

I spoke with Jose by phone and set a time for us to meet. He was early for the appointment, which is always a good thing. I wanted to replace the the floor decking with Trex and wanted a picture frame design. He was completely familiar with that.
Several days I received a quote for the job. I accepted his quote and he ordered the material. He came a couple of days later and removed the current decking. When the material was delivered, on Labor Day. Jose had his men out the next day.

The job is completed and in a timely manner. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. The area was completely cleaned up to my satisfaction. The new decking looks great. A job well done.

We just moved into our home in Kenly and we needed a fence installed due to our dogs. We went online to search fencing companies and a Jose of Affordable fences & decks called. We were so lucky to get that call because Jose and his crew Gio, Oscar and Pablo, gave us a very reasonable estimate and Jose explained everything in detail so there would be no surprises, it's a large yard and it's not level. If you are in the market for fencing, deck, call Jose, you will not regret it, I promise. His craftsmanship, professionalism and his honesty is amazing. He cares about the job and he cares about how you feel about his work, which is top self all the way. As I said before, call Jose and you'll be very satisfied, we are. If we could give 10 stars we would..

I had a great experience working with Affordable Fences and Decks for my fence project. Jose and his team installed 6’ white vinyl fencing and 5’ black aluminum fencing around my large back yard. From the quote to the install, Jose and team communicated with me regarding start date and materials delivery, was responsive to any questions, and worked quickly to complete a quality fence that my family and I will enjoy for years to come.

I am very pleased with the works and very competitive pricing. They installed a Trex deck to replaced old existing wood deck.

This week, we had a black aluminum fence built around our backyard by Affordable Fence and Deck. I HIGHLY recommend this company because Jose Guerra was wonderful to work with, always responsive to any messages and questions, and the price was very reasonable. This is definitely a 5☆ review.!

Jose is a friendly, knowledgeable contractor and his work is great in quality. He will work with you on ensuring what you want or need is executed well. Pricing is very reasonable and our project got started sooner than other contractors' estimates had projected, something that we needed and greatly appreciated. Please support this small business!

Jose made the entire process from quote to installation a breeze. His pricing was competitive and they installed our wood fence in 1 day! The installation team showed up ready to work and left the yard completely clean when they finished. We are so happy with the Quality and timely effort that Affordable Fences and Decks provided us! We highly recommend their services.

Made an appointment with Jose to come out and give me an estimate for both a deck replacement and fence replacement for Monday, August 25 at 10 o’clock! He never bothered to show nor did he call to let me know he wasn’t coming. I left him a second message later in the afternoon and still no contact. I’m done!

Very great service with a great price. Every other place we received a quote had it almost a $1000 difference. They are very professional and friendly, they even put a mound of dirt under the fence door gap so my dogs wouldn't be able to go under. It was very thoughtful. Very clean and quiet work. Jose, I believe his name was, came out once more a couple days before and made sure where exactly I wanted the fence and that everything was ready to go. I hope people see this review and consider this company. Thank you again!!

José did a wonderful job communicating with me every step of the way. He didn't try to upsell us anything unnecessary and the work turned out beautifully. The fence was very reasonably priced and the turnaround was very fast. Excellent quality!

Four days before moving date, we realize a wheelchair ramp is a must for my elderly father. Jose and his team made it happen! Everything was done as promised — quick estimate turnaround, job completed BEFORE moving truck arrives, site cleaned. Thank you Jose!

Jose and his crew were wonderful! They put in a privacy fence and deck at our home to help us achieve our backyard dreams! Everything looks and functions perfectly. Jose helped guide us through some odd landscaping issues and completed the whole project in just one week. Couldn't have asked for better service or advice. Thank you so much!

Jose was very easy to work with and has a great team! We wanted to extend our pre-existing deck and are very happy with the results. We hoped to reuse the railing and they took the extra time to make it happen. His crew is very professional and experienced. They cleaned the worksite each day and did a fantastic job with our project. I highly recommend Affordable Fences and Decks!

Jose was excellent to work with! He and his team removed old chain link from our property, and installed a beautiful semi privacy fence in our back yard. They also installed 2 gates that are dramatically easier to use than what was there! Jose checked in with me for every aesthetic choice, and put up with me when I changed my mind back and forth :) I am so happy with the results and plan to use Affordable when it is time to do my deck!

Jose was awesome to work with. He arrived on time and gave me a great price. He explained the differences in the types of wood and price. He was able to start within a week and got the fence completed in 3 days. Absolutely beautiful work I would highly recommend these guys!!!

Fantastic to work with Mr Jose from start to finish. On time for estimate, replied the next day, quote was professional, had good advice as to a couple of questions I had on how to best route the fencing. Crew was tidy and efficient, and they showed up on time and actually finished the job 3 days early!!! Will use them again this summer on a deck job!

Jose installed my wooden privacy fence previously which was great. This time I asked him to stain it and screen in my covered patio. I am thrilled with the work he’s done. Everything looks so good. He communicated well. Showed up on time. Finished quicker than planned. Was very kind throughout the process. One hiccup of a screen door purchased that I didn’t love and I just shared my thoughts with Jose, we determined there was a miscommunication about this and he quickly returned the door and installed the one I liked best. Overall a great experience. I will be calling Jose for a 3rd job, once I figure out what I want to do next. You won’t be disappointed!

Jose gave was quick and responsive when giving a quote for extending a wooden privacy fence. After accepting the estimate the project grew to include our neighbor's property as well as adding a chain link fence to our rental property down the street. He was communicative throughout the planning process and on site for much of the installation. We would happily recommend Affordable Fences & Decks for a great price, quick scheduling, and good communication.
