Honest, thorough, personable. At no time did I feel West Coast Air was pushing to replace my unit. They were replacing pounds of refrigerant and assured me we could get by. As not to get stuck in with a system that might go down during the busy install season and we decided to schedule ahead and replace the system. West Coast Air was neat and thorough, and the price was fair. We never saw the unit on the roof, but two years later, we were getting a ceiling vibration and we wanted to be sure it wasn't our unit. With approval, I went up on the roof with the technician to see that our system was mounted on a hurricane resistant cement platform with stacks of rubber pads to minimize vibration. I understand they are now using a "resolite" foam material that is even better at reducing ceiling vibration. We did see outdated units that may be causing the vibrations. If you use West Coast for installing a new unit, rest assured they will do it right. Don't forget to ask about the "Resolite" foam mounting pad". Your neighbors will be happy too.
    A Side Note:
Let the buyer beware: While on the roof, there was another brand new unit (installed by ANOTHER company) not installed to code. Not mounted on the required cement hurricane block but on two by fours. I bet they paid less. The owners wouldn't know this as owners typically don't go on the roof . Be sure to ask your installer to take pictures of the roof installation.

Honest and knowledgeable! Andy came out and fixed our issue in minutes then showed me how to keep it from happening again. No gimmicks or BS trying to run up the bill. Hope I don't have to, but would definitely use them again!

Honest people!!! I've had other company's always trying to sell things I Diddn't need...
I called Mikey at West Coast... and he sent someone out boom fixed there is no need to put up with a salesman in a uniform. They are just real people making a honest living.. as long as they are in business. They are my company. They are a very small company though so a little extra patience is a virtue but personally I'm cool as a cucumber....I love West Coast home of the REPAIRMAN!!!!

Their customer service is second to none and everyone I had contact with was incredibly helpful and understanding. I took my RV with my rooftop AC just to get charged like a car would be everybody was really nice but they put buck and did not really know what he was doing on the job and they ended up putting in the 410 gas in liquid form versus vapor it's so simple to know you Google how to put in 410 in an RV air conditioner and it tells you to put in vapor instead of liquid but after about 45 minutes he gave up and waited for the owner son Mike He's a really nice guy and he got the pressure where it should be but by the time I got it back to my home it would not work and was making weird noises I called them back thinking maybe a screw or something wasn't tightened or whatever I don't know and they said do not contact them again... I've got all the emails... Rude rude rude... What's happening these days if you make a mistake that's okay but make it right Don't ignore it... Shame on you West Coast air conditioning I have a dog and a cat only live in an RV full-time and they knew that but they still don't seem to really care I just don't get it... I guess my only recourse is to take them to small claims court or to contact a Tampa Bay investigative reporter I don't do this but just not right

Special shout-out for great service to West Coast Air Conditioning! I had my regular maintenance scheduled for this coming Monday but had a problem yesterday. I called them at 9am and by noon, they had been there, gone into the attic and replaced a blower motor. That is fantastic customer care!

Mike came out on Memorial Day to fix the fan in our AC unit. He was the only one on call he came out and had to return to handle other calls in the mean time.
We have used West Coast for years and we have always had spectacular service each time. I highly recommend them,

West Coast owners are good friends of ours but their bussiness is not fair or honest. They installed a brand new unit which immidiatly leaked. After costly repairs, they finally agreed to replace the part of the brand new unit (we stil paid every service call invoice in full). It did not fix the issue and we paid to have freon refilled many times (always paying every invoice in full and letting it be know we were not satisfied with their lack of standing behind their product or warrenty). We finnally called a different local company (Air and Energy) who found the leak and gave us a fair quote for repair. They also suggeted we contact our installer as the unit was still under warrenty. When we contacted the office, Pam was rude, condesending, unprofessional and stated no one from their company would be willing to make any more service calls at our house. Their techs are not honest or knowledgeable. Their customer service was extemly unprofessional. Mary and Mike should find a replacement for Pam and reevaluate their bussiness strategy. Air and Engery was great. Save thousands and call them instead.

I had a very disappointing experience with Scottie's Cooling & Air.
On 04/20, I contacted them because my AC had stopped working. The receptionist took my address and phone number, and a technician called shortly afterward to say he was on property. After diagnosing the issue, I was told the capacitor needed to be replaced, and I approved the repair. When the work was completed, I attempted to pay, but the technician told me someone from the office would contact me to collect payment.
No one ever called, and I never received an invoice until last week, when I suddenly received a past-due notice.
Then yesterday, my AC stopped working again. I called Scottie's Cooling & Air hoping they would come back out. The on-call technician informed me that he could not service my unit because there was an outstanding balance on the account. I explained that I was willing to pay the balance immediately, along with any charges for the new service call, because I urgently needed my AC repaired. He said he needed to speak with his boss and would call me back. He never did.
So I contacted Cool Today, who I highly recommend. Their technician inspected my unit and informed me that there was no capacitor installed at all. I explained that Scottie's had supposedly replaced it during the previous service call. He stated that the unit had been running without a capacitor and that continued operation could have caused significant damage to the entire AC system.
Today, Scott, the owner, called me and explained that because they had allegedly tried to contact me multiple times regarding the unpaid balance, they had removed the capacitor and written off the balance. The problem is that the phone number they were using belonged to my late husband. I had previously informed them of the correct contact number, so it is not my fault that they continued calling the wrong number.
They also claimed they mailed an invoice last week, which I did receive, but it had only been about a week before they decided to remove the part. Additionally, they stated that a technician had come to my home to notify me about the balance. I work during the day, no one was home, and no note was left on the door.
What concerns me most is that a technician apparently entered my property and removed equipment from my AC unit without my knowledge, permission, or consent. At no point was I notified that they intended to return and remove the capacitor, and I was never given an opportunity to resolve the balance before they took that action. Finding out from another company that a component had been removed from my system was shocking and extremely upsetting.
The lack of communication, failure to use the correct contact information, entering my property to remove equipment without my authorization, and the potential risk of damage to my AC system has left me extremely dissatisfied. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Scottie's Cooling & Air.

Wednesday evening of Easter week, our a.c. started blowing warm air & the fan wasn't turning. I called Scotties. They came in 15 minutes and fixed it in 5 minutes. I have been a customer of theirs for many years, and I cannot say enough good things about this company. Thank you Scotties!!
