Electrical reviews in Cape Coral, Florida

Enjoy working with ACRA Electric. Very professional and customer oriented. Recognized our needs better than we did!
-
Extremely happy with response and quality of service. Jay was great and friendly and got the jobs done. We will be using them again in the future.
-
Rob did a great job. Love my dimmable soffit lights. Got rid of the hanging and wall lanterns.

Terrible communicators.
Make an appointment and they do not show up or even make a phone call to tell you they are not coming. Then you call and are told the party line BS "He got caught on an emergency" (if it is true the emergency is probably 2 days old) and we cannot rebook you until next week..
This has happened twice with them..
Won't even try to use them again -
After spending several $1000's on our dock and home, they wanted to charge us again for work they previously done. Service manager, Dan, is worthless. The work is not guaranteed. We are taking their sign off our dock.

I had a GREAT experience with Acra, they showed up when they said they would, did the work they said they would do and for a very fair and reasonable fee. I had great communication with the office and the technician. They are my new go to electricians!!

We had an electrical issue after Hurricane Ian. They sent someone out the very next morning to assess the problem. They were professional, honest and reassuring.

I called them to ask about installing a timer for a pool pump how to hook it up correctly and was explained in great detail how to do it .i appreciate the info they gave me and am convinced that I will be using them as my new electric repairs again thanks again for the info. The pool is up and running now thanks to the tech I talked to on the phone

Had them out for a quote on some work. After we agreed on a price, I told them let's do it. JT said he would call me when we got back to the office to schedule the work. I never heard from them again. What is it with these service people in Southwest Florida? Like they don't want to make money or something.

I hired Acra to change a suspected faulty circuit breaker in a sub panel feeding our A/C unit. The technician showed and replaced it with a used circuit breaker. Not noticing that the wires that feed the sub panel were burned. I had to call my A/C contractor to change the sub panel and circuit breaker. I’m moving on to a different electrical contractor, I suggest you do the same.

I had ACRA install a GFCI circuit three months ago in order to bring my pool up to code. I just had to go purchase my own GFCI after the "used" one that ACRA installed kept tripping for no reason. $123 later and my efforts and the pool pump is working again.

I've been using ACRA electric for over 25 years and they have always provided excellent service

Excellent service! I had a customer of mine with a lighting issue. They were able to coordinate with someone on site and fix the problem asap. I'm very pleased and would recommend their services to anyone! Well Done!

I had my weatherback come off during Ian. I posted on Cape Coral Residents Facebook page looking for someone to put it back on. Not a big job but I have MS and couldn’t do it myself. Mike Greco from Acra Electric contacted me and offered to do it free of charge! He came out the next morning and took care of it for me 😊 Thanks Mike and Acra Electric for helping a neighbor, I’ll definitely contact you whenever I need electrical work done!

Work Description:
Hook up electric from garage to dock and wired boat lift.
The quote took almost a week
highest price of all 3 quotes
Five weeks to finish a one day job
no phone calls to let me know when they would start
they arrived to start only after I called (two-three weeks after I accepted the quote)
started the job one day then I had to call two weeks later to see when they where coming back to finish
During the time the contractors were here I discovered they knocked loose a double 60 amp breaker witch caused an arc that melted my panel. After the work was performed my hot water heater wouldn't work, which was odd because it has worked fine for 2 years. I asked the electrician to take a look and he said the contact was loose and it arced as he was showing me the damage I touched the melted plastic to show him something and he said, "I’m not sure if you realize what you just did". Well apparently he did not turn off main breaker and the panel was live and all the wires exposed. I could have been electrocuted if my figure touch 1mm to the left. 200amps
I asked the Electrician to fix the damage they had caused and he refused saying that I caused the damage. The electrician said that the manager would call but all I got was an invoice for $2087 the next day in the mail.
I emailed the president with my concerns, he responded back and we meet the next day and he offered that I pay him $1800 and we close. $287 for a $1500 panel? I said I wanted my property to be the same as when they arrived and its not about saving money its about safety and he said "I will see you in court"
I’m very disappointed to say the least. -
I have recommended Acra to countless customers in the past but after my last experience with their service department I have lost all confidence in this company and will never recommend them again to any of my customers.

I had Acra Electric bring power to the boat dock. Everything went as planned! Very pleased with results. The cost, the office communication, the work itself and the follow up were all handled very professionally. Bravo!
-
I called ACRA and they came the same day to fix my problem. It's all fixed now and I can't believe it did not cost a fortune. They were professional, friendly, clean cut, and very focused on the task at hand. I will use them again.

I didn't actually go here, just got directions to an apartment complex across the street.

When we had our new boat lift put in recently, Acra Electric was recommended for the electrical work. We could not be happier with the result. These folks are professionals with a real eye for detail. When I look at the electrical work on other docks done by different contractors, the difference is obvious. These folks won't be the cheapest, but on the quality dimension they cannot be beat.

Wired my boat dock. Extremely professional from Jen in customer service to Manager Ben Westgate who did my quote and even walked me through how to use the lift for my 1st time.. Crew was on time, polite and well trained.
