My parents used this company for their pool. Nothing but problems, 3rd rate work. Damaged plumbing while installing, then acted like they were doing us a favor when they fixed it. Never again!

Ronnie came out to my house on two different occasions to help design pool and answer any questions that I had. The last time he came out was in the first week of January. When he left he said that he was going to get me a quote within a couple days. I didn't hear from him so I emailed him. He responded that he would send me a quote again within a couple days. Nothing. I sent him a text a week later to see if something was wrong and no response. I called the office and the voicemail box was full. The job was pretty big and I can't believe that they would pass up my business like that! I'm not sure if they went out of business or what is going on but I'm not sure why he would spend so much of his free time trying to sell me a pool and then never respond. Very strange.

Wow, our pool and spa are beautiful! We can not say enough about this pool company. Every person we have met and crew in here has been responsive and thorough. We would recommend them to anyone, as we have had excellent service from start to finish!

Spent 2.5 months doing quoting and to get to a contract with Tropical. They then provide a handwritten contract to which I expressed concern. Then after sending them back questions for clarification on what was in the contract and asking for things they previously stated in email to be put in the contract, they told me they don't feel comfortable proceeding with the project. So basically they don't feel comfortable putting the things they said to get the sale such as warranties they told me about and their responsibilities for damages outside of their defined access area into a legally enforceable document. Totally unethical and a waste of my time. Should have just listened to their poor reviews on Google from people who actually used them. Glad I dodged that bullet since they seem like a bunch of liars.

My uncle Richard in Wesley Chapel used them for his pool deck. It doesn’t even look like it’s sealed. No shine, the pool coping is all white and blotchy now, underneath the shaded area has white blotchy spots all around, 90% of the pool deck has NO sand in the joints, there’s loose pavers all around now, CRACKED pavers AND they stripped paint off the lanai. We’ve been reaching out to them the last 2 weeks and they have not picked up the phone. As a company, you’re supposed to fix your mistakes and make it right. Not just completely leave a customer hanging to dry with a much worse pool. We will change this review if they contact us back to fix this mess

Integrity, quality and price. You’ll find all three with this company. This is my fourth Pool build and I learned a lot about who not to hire when Undertaking a project like a pool. What I really liked about tropical pools is they don’t subcontract out 90% of their work like many other pool builders do. If you’ve never been in a subcontractor battle you’ll never understand but trust me, it’s important. Second, anyone can build a Pool but it’s how you’re treated after they’ve received your final draw that tells you about the company’s integrity. In this case, Curtis, the owner, stepped up when an excavator damaged our property. No hassles. Finally, design and materials planning can be complicated. JON, one of the sales reps there was very helpful and forthcoming with the pros and cons of various pool designs and products. No up selling here. Great to work with. Use them. You wint be disapponted.

Curtis is the absolute best. Don't hesitate because his pricing is so competitive. We thought we were taking a risk years ago with his company because the price was the best, but here six years later the pool is STILL perfect, and Curtis is always helpful years later if I have a question.

From initial pool design to final inspection everything went according to plan, on schedule and on budget. Couldn't be happier with our pool. Its absolutely beautiful. The entire process from beginning to end was smooth. Ronnie and Curtis were always available for any questions we had. All of the workers that came to work on the pool were friendly and professional. I highly recommend Tropical Pools and Pavers. Look no further.

We had a pool built in 2015. Jon was excellent and walked us through the process and was very patient with our constant changes. However the construction of the deck and it's preparation has a lot to be desired. First I noticed there was a discernible drop off at the edge of the pool deck. When I mentioned this the only answer I got was "yes, well you need a retaining wall, sooner than later". ( $6,000 later). When it rained the water poured into the lanai as the deck drains, only 1 1/2", when there are 3" drains available, could not cope as the deck slope is very steep. When mentioning I was told "well you need guttering". I did have gutters fitted with no difference!! I would have expected that a company who builds pools would be able to identify these issues prior to building and be proactive and look at ways to address such issues. For example reducing the deck slope, installing wider drains to cope with Florida rains.

Great pool however I spend a lot of time moving lanai furniture and sweeping out water when it rains heavy, which is very frequently!! So it looks like I will have to pay to have this issue rectified.

This is absolutely the worst company ever. It took 4 phone calls and 4 months to get a quote. I went forward with them because they were a little less expensive than their competitors. One of the owners, Curtis assured me that the project would go smoothly and he would make sure I knew what was going on at all times. I signed the contract in November. It took them 3 months just to get permits. I could not get a plan or even a list of steps. I had to continuously ask what was going to happen next. As a single woman who has never had a pool, l felt helpless but hoped for the best. It took 4 months to finish that included several heated exchanges with Curtis. They didn't explain anything about how to take care of a salt pool. I hired someone to take care of it that asked me questions about the first 30 day requirements and I had no idea what he was talking about.There were electrical problems with spa which they did fix. And the pavers have started to collapse only 2 months after completion. I can't warn strongly enough to not use this company!!!!!
